• WHMCS - Mapping of a Manually Created Invoice with its Corresponding Domain

  I am using WHMCS version 4.2.1 for maintaining domain registration & website hosting services, in one of my websites. Currently, the automatic domain registration process is working great for both the existing & new clients. The main way to register domains automatically is to mark the respective invoices as paid, and automatically the domains get registered through my selected registrar. Recently, I am facing a major problem in domain renewals, where the domain has been already registered by us in the past. The problem is that some of the corresponding invoices are not already generated for the domains & so I have to manually create invoice for each of those domain renewals. However, I am unable to map that invoice with the corresponding domain. This is required because unless the domain knows that for its renewal, an invoice has been created, the marking of the invoice as paid will not instantiate the automatic renewal process through my registrar. Can anybody please tell me the probable way of mapping the invoice with its corresponding domain? I've tried to explain the problem as it is occurring in the best way possible. Still, if any more information regarding this is required, please ask. Any help is greatly appreciated.

• Shape object in Processing, translate individual shapes.

  I am relatively new to Processing but have been working in Java for about 2 years now. I am facing difficulty though with the translate() function for objects as well as objects in general in processing. I went through the examples and tried to replicate the manners by which they instantiated the objects but cannot seem to even get the shapes to appear on the screen no less move them. I instantiate the objects into an array using a nested for loop and expect a grid of the objects to be rendered. However, nothing at all is rendered. My nested for loop structure to instantiate the tiles: for(int i=0; i<102; i++){ for(int j=0; j<102; j++){ tiles[i][j]=new tile(i,0,j); tiles[i][j].display(); } } And the constructors for the tile class: tile(int x, int y, int z){ this.x=x; this.y=y; this.z=z; beginShape(); vertex(x,y,z); vertex(x+1,y,z); vertex(x+1,y,z-1); vertex(x,y,z-1); endShape(); } Nothing is rendered at all when this runs. Furthermore, if this is of any concern, my translations(movements) are done in a method I wrote for the tile class called move which simply calls translate. Is this the correct way? How should one approach this? I can't seem to understand at all how to render/create/translate individual objects/shapes. Thanks for any help any of you are able to provide!

• Best way to store and deliver files on a CMS

  Hi all.. First of all, this isn't another question about storing images on DB vs file system. I'm already storing the images on the file system. I'm just struggling to find a better way to show them to all my users. I' currently using this system. I generate a random filename using md5(uniqueid()), the problem that I'm facing, is that the image is then presented with a link like this: <img src="/_Media/0027a0af636c57b75472b224d432c09c.jpg" /> As you can see this isn't the prettiest way to show a image ( or a file ), and the name doesn't say anything about the image. I've been working with a CMS system at work, that stores all uploaded files on a single table, to access that image it uses something like this: <img src="../getattachment/94173104-e03c-499b-b41c-b25ae05a8ee1/Menu-1/Escritorios.aspx?width=175&height=175" /> As you can see the path to the image, now has a meaning compared to the other one, the problem is that this put's a big strain in the DB, for example, in the last site I made, I have an area that has around 60 images, to show the 60 images, I would have to do at least 60 individual query's to the database, besides the other query's to retrieve the various content on the page. I think you understand my dilemma, has anyone gone trough this problem, that can give me some pointers on how to solve this? Thanks..

• CUDA Kernel Not Updating Global Variable

  I am facing the following problem in a CUDA kernel. There is an array "cu_fx" in global memory. Each thread has a unique identifier jj and a local loop variable ii and a local float variable temp. Following code is not working. It is not at all changing cu_fx[jj]. • Gracefully handling screen orientation change during activity start

  I'm trying to find a way to properly handle setting up an activity where its orientation is determined from data in the intent that launched it. This is for a game where the user can choose levels, some of which are int portrait orientation and some are landscape orientation. The problem I'm facing is that setRequestedOrientation(ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_LANDSCAPE) doesn't take effect until the activity is fully loaded. This is a problem for me because I do some loading and image processing during startup, which I'd like to only have to do once. Currently, if the user chose a landscape level: the activity starts onCreate(), defaulting to portrait discovers from analysing its launching Intent that it should be in landscape orientation continues regardless all the way to onResume(), loading information and performing other setup tasks at this point setRequestedOrientation kicks in so the application runs through onPause() to onDestroy() it then again starts up from onCreate() and runs to onResume() repeating the setup from earlier Is there a way to avoid that and have it not perform the loading twice? For example, ideally, the activity would know before even onCreate was called whether it should be landscape or portrait depending on some property of the launching intent, but unless I've missed something that isn't possible. I've managed to hack together a way to avoid repeating the loading by checking a boolean before the time-consuming loading steps, but that doesn't seem like the right way of doing it. I imagine I could override onSaveInstanceState, but that would require a lot of additional coding. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks!

  Hello, I recently installed rails in fedora 12. I'm new to linux as well. Everything works fine on Windows 7. But I'm facing lot of problems in linux. Help please! I've installed all the essentials to my knowledge to get the basic script/server up and running. I have this error from boot.rb popping up when I try script/server. Some of the details I'd like to give here: The directories where rails, ruby and gem are installed, [vineeth@localhost my_app]$ which ruby /usr/local/bin/ruby [vineeth@localhost my_app]$ which rails /usr/bin/rails [vineeth@localhost my_app]$ which gem /usr/bin/gem And when I run the script/server, this is the error.   Hello Experts!!! I've been facing a deployment problem.I've built a WPF application with visual studio 2008 and created an installer(msi) which works fine.But then it's pain to add automatic update to it. i've seen this article at windowsclient.net but it seems to be pretty old but could have been the perfect thing for me.Then i looked at the .Net Application updater block v2.0 which uses enterprise library june 2005 and for some reason it's not installing on my machine. I thought i will need to use a more recent Enterprise library so i installed and compiled Enterprise 4.1(october 2008) but nothing better happened.To i decided to give a try to CLickonce deployment.After struggling with it, it was almost perfect.I realized that when i was testing the updates provided by the clickonce on my machine which is XP i didn't notice the need of having sqlite dll in the GAC. surely it was already there.I noticed it when i moved to vista that there is a problem.After checking the net i know it's impossible to add a dll to the Global Assembly Cache. Now i'm stuck, i think i've hit a wall.Can any one share some of his experience? I'm willing to try the updater block if i can get help. Thanks for reading this!!

The issue i am facing is if i have a filter on parent child dimension then drill through table does not show filtered data instead it shows all the data for that dimension. • does sfWidgetFormSelect provide a string or an int of the selected item?

  Hey guys, I'm having an annoying problem. I'm trying to find out what fields of a form were changed, and then insert that into a table. I managed to var_dump in doUpdateObjectas shown in the following public function doUpdateObject($values) { parent::doUpdateObject($values); var_dump($this->getObject()->getModified(false)); var_dump($this->getObject()->getModified(true)); } And it seems like $this-getObject()-getModified seems to work in giving me both before and after values by setting it to either true or false. The problem that I'm facing right now is that, some how, sfWidgetFormSelect seems to be saving one of my fields as a string. before saving, that exact same field was an int. (I got this idea by var_dump both before and after). Here is what the results on both var dumps showed: array(1) {["annoying_field"]=> int(3)} array(1) {["annoying_field"]=>string(1)"3"} This seems to cause doctrine to think that this is a modification and thus gives a false positive. In my base form, I have under $this->getWidgets() 'annoying_field' => new sfWidgetFormInputText(), under $this->setValidators 'annoying_field' => new sfValidatorInteger(array('required' => false)), and lastly in my configured Form.class.php I have reconfigured the file as such: $this->widgetSchema['annoying_field'] = new sfWidgetFormSelect(array('choices' => $statuses)); statuses is an array containing values like {""a", "b", "c", "d"} and I just want the index of the status to be stored in the database. And also how can I insert the changes into another database table? let's say my Log table? Any ideas and advice as to why this is happen is appreciated, I've been trying to figure it out and browsing google for various keywords with no avail. Thanks! • Ruby hpricot does not like dash in symbol, is there a workaround?

  I am trying to parse an xml file with hpricot. This does not work because of the dash. If I rename the tag to transunit and edit the symbol reference accordingly everything seems to be fine. I thought using the symbol between quotes should work but hpricot does not seem to like this. Can anyone think of a workaround? Thanks in advance

• Rails Active Record Mysql find query HAVING clause

  Is there a way to use the HAVING clause in some other way without using group by. I am using rails and following is a sample sccenario of the problem that i am facing. In rails you can use the Model.find(:all,:select,conditions,:group) function to get data. In this query i can specify a having clause in the :group param. But what if i dont have a group by clause but want to have a having clause in the result set. Ex: Lets take a query select sum(x) as a,b,c from y where "some_conditions" group by b,c; This query has a sum() aggregation on one of the fields. No if there is nothing to aggregate then my result should be an empty set. But mysql return a NULL row. So this problem can be solved by using select sum(x) as a,b from y where "some_conditions" group by b having a NOT NULL; but what happens in case i dont have a group by clause?? a query like below select sum(x) as a,b from y where "some_conditions"; so how to specify that sum(x) should not be NULL? Any solution that would return an empty set in this case instead of a NULL row will help and also that solution should be doable in rails. We can use subqueries to get this condition working with sumthin like this select * from ((select sum(x) as b FROM y where "some_condition") as subq) where subq.b is not null; but is there a better way to do this thru sql/rails ??

• How VerticalOffset changes when Scrollable height changes while having list inside a list

  I am making a WP7 app which has a Listbox of UserControls. Each UserControl has an ItemsControl and Button(for getting more results). On click of the button the ItemsControl items will be increased by 5 or 10. Now on clicking on the GetMore button of any of the usercontrols except the first or last, there will be an increase in Scrollable height(Total height of the listbox) of the ListBox but the VerticalOffset(position of scrollbar from top) of the ListBox remains same. Now the problem I am facing is that the Vertical Offset is not absolute but relative to Scrollable Height. So the content being viewed till then will be changed basing on the new value of ScollableHeight. I want to know the relation between them, so that I can do some math and set the VerticalOffset value. I have added some dependency properties on VerticalOffset and ScrollableHeight through which I can get the events when any of them is changed. Also trying to use them to readjust the VerticalOffset. Any suggestions or corrections are highly appreciated.

I have already implemented the solution using a segment tree. I have read about BIT but i can't figure out how to do a particular thing with it(which i have mentioned below) I am trying to check if brackets are balanced in a given string containing only ('s or )'s. I am using a BIT(Binary indexed tree) for solving the problem. The procedure i am following is as follows: I am taking an array of size equal to the number of characters in the string. I am assigning -1 for ) and 1 for ( to the corresponding array elements. Brackets are balanced in the string only if the following two conditions are true. The cumulative sum of the whole array is zero. Minimum cumulative sum is non negative. i.e the minimum of cumulative sums of all the prefixes of the array is non-negative. Checking condition 1 using a BIT is trivial. I am facing problem in checking condition 2.

  What I am trying to achieve here is to display a number of LinkButtons in a RadGrid Column. The buttons are generated from a collection property member of the bound grid row item. The CollectionLinkButton control is nothing more than a asp:Panel derived control that populates its Child Controls from "DataItem.SomeCollection" and this is working fine. • flash creates more than one http request

  We are facing one issue directly connected with our Flash API we've given to a 3rd party flash vendor. To make a long story short, our API basically wraps domain logic on client and creates a single POST request towards the server in JSON format. All will be ok except in combination MacOS + Safari we receive double requests on server (?). Even more interesting, we are receiving different agent names - one is expected name/decriptor of the browser and system, other is "CFNetwork". • C# Vector maths questions

  Im working in a screen coordinate space that is different to that of the classical X/Y coordinate space, where my Y direction goes down in the positive instead of up. Im also trying to figure out how to make a Circle on my screen always face away from the center point of the screen. If the center point of my screen is at x(200) y(300) and the point of my circle's center is at x(150) and y(380) then I would like to calculate the angle that the circle should be facing. At the moment I have this: Point centerPoint = new Point(200, 300); Point middleBottom = new Point(200, 400); Vector middleVector = new Vector(centerPoint.X - middleBottom.X, centerPoint.Y - middleBottom.Y); Vector vectorOfCircle = new Vector(centerPoint.X - 150, centerPoint.Y - 400); middleVector.Normalize(); vectorOfCircle.Normalize(); var angle = Math.Acos(Vector.CrossProduct(vectorOfCircle, middleVector)); Console.WriteLine("Angle: {0}", angle * (180/Math.PI)); Im not getting what I would expect. I would say that when I enter in x(150) and y(300) of my circle, I would expect to see the rotation of 90 deg, but Im not getting that... Im getting 180!! Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Example: www.sitename.com/online-products -> www.sitename.com/products.php?type=online www.sitename.com/about-the-website -> www.sitename.com/cms.php?id=about-the-website www.sitename.com/product-news -> www.sitename.com/product-news.php Also another issue I am facing is I can not use any keyword with space. • De-normalization alternative to specific MYSQL problem?

  I am facing quite a specific optimization problem. I currently have 4 normalized tables of data. Every second, possibly thousands of users will pull down up-to-date info from these tables using AJAX. The thing is that I can predict relatively easily which subset of data they need... The most recent 100 or so entries in those 4 normalized tables. I have been researching de-normalization... but feel that perhaps there is an easier solution. I was thinking that I could somehow every second run one sql query to condense the needed info, store it in a temp cached table and then have all of the user queries just draw from this. This will allow the complex join of 4 tables to only be run once, and then from there the users just need to do a simple lookup from the cached table. I really don't know if this is feasible. Comments on this or any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

• Designing a general database interface in PHP

  I'm creating a small framework for my web projects in PHP so I don't have to do the basic work over and over again for every new website. It is not my goal to create a second CakePHP or Codeigniter and I'm also not planning to build my websites with any of the available frameworks as I prefer to use things I've created myself in general. I have no problems in designing that framework when it comes to parts like the core structure, request handling, and so on but I'm getting stuck with designing the database interface for my modules. I've already thought about using the MVC pattern but thought that it would be a bit of a overkill. So the exact problem I'm facing is how my frameworks modules (viewCustomers could be a module, for example) should interact with the database. Is it a good idea to write SQL directly in PHP (mysql_query( 'SELECT firstname, lastname(.....))? How could I abstract a query like SELECT firstname, lastname FROM customers WHERE id=X Would MySQL helper functions like $this->db->get( array('firstname', 'lastname'), array('id'=>X) ) be a good idea? I suppose not because they actually make everything more complicated by requiring arrays to be created and passed. Is the Model pattern from MVC my only real option?
