• Becoming a better Android programmer

  Any suggestions on how to become a better Android programmer? I'm past intro tutorials, which mainly focus on how to use pieces of the SDK, but I still struggle to structure big Android apps. Obviously the best use of my time is continuing with my coding projects, but I'm wondering if I should be learning more about Android particulars, solidifying my somewhat shaky Java knowledge, going back to object-oriented fundamentals or patterns...? Pointers to resources (books, example apps, sites) you've found helpful would be great.

Is there any easy XAML way exists to make the DataBinding Happens when I press Enter Key on the TextBox?.   Hopefully I've explained myself good enough this time. Can't seem to get a real answer. The system is currently on MongoDB, but I've been introduced to Cassandra and Redis since then. Would it be a good idea to go to one of these two solutions, rather than stay on MongoDB?   Is it possible to display the WinForms "font picker" dialog non-modally? Or is there another font picker other than the standard one that can be used non-modally? Our application has many windows, and users who frequently need to interrupt what they are doing and switch to another window to look at something. This tends to lead to "buried dialog" scenarios with modal dialogs, where the UI is unresponsive, but it isn't immediately apparent why, because the modal dialog that has captured the focus is behind another window.

  Hi I'm currently developing a cross-plataform virtual keyboard. In linux i was able to do whatever i want, but in Windows i'm having problems to prevent the widget to obtain the keyboard focus. In linux, using the window flag Qt::X11BypassWindowManagerHint the widget never gets the keyboard input, but of course, that flag does not work on Windows Is there something equivalent to that flag or some method i can use instead? any ideas would be appreciated thanks in advance

  Hi, I'd like to know how to control my application's volume from the volume keys ( contrary to my belief , I've read they control only the ringer volume). Should I overwrite the onKey Down/Up ? , or is there other way to accomplish this ? . Licensing and hosting costs are why I would like to use something not reliant on microsoft so something based on open source technologies is a plus. • Getting a WebView to act exactly like Safari

  (edited to give a better description of the answer I gave) I have created a very simple browser in InterfaceBuilder consisting of a nav bar and a webview. Everything works fine except when I try to tab between input fields is the webview, the focus goes to the nav bar.
