• A simple string array Iteration in C# .NET doesn't work

  This is a simple code that should return true or false after comparing each element in a String array with a Session Variable. The thing is that even when the string array named 'plans' gets the right attributes, inside the foreach it keeps iterating only over the first element, so if the Session Variable matches other element different than the first one in the array it never returns true... You could say the problem is right there in the foreach cicle, but I cant see it... I've done this like a hundred times and I can't understand what am I doing wrong... • How to add a clickable button to either parent or child of simple expandablelist in android

  I have created an application for a simple expandablelist. In the code i am displaying some textviews in the child . I am able to add a button in the child of the expandable list. But the problem I am facing is with the onclick event of the button.Since I am creating the button inside onChildClick(), the button appears, but its onclick event dosent take place. I also tried adding the button with its onclick event in the group as well, but I am facing similar problem there also. If anyone could help , it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, HM

• simple modification results in error

  When I tried to do a simple modification of the "hello android" program that eclipse adt plugin generates I get error and can't get the program to run again even if I restore the file to its original contents. The modification was that I changed a string in strings.xml. the line was: <string name="app_name">Todo List</string> and the app was runnable, then I changed it to <string name="app_name">Todo List1</string> and it was an error: [2010-04-21 23:18:03 - Todo_list] Error in an XML file: aborting build. And a new empty file also showed up called: strings.out.xml And then I can't get the prrogram back into runnable state even if I delete the empyt file and restore the original line, I'm a confused beginner of java, android and eclipse.

I think i can remove the locks as the references should be updated correctly right? ... BUt i'm think whar happens if client code is iterating over the GetMyDataStructure method and it get replaced? • Approximate photo of a simple drawing using lines

  As an input I have a photo of a simple symbol, e.g.: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nrmsvfd0le0bkke/symbol.jpg I would like to detect the straight lines in it, like points of start and ends of the lines. In this case, assuming the top left of the symbol is (0,0), the lines would be defined like this: start end (coordinates of beginning and end of a line) 1. (0,0); (0,10) (vertical line) 2. (0,10); (15, 15) 3. (15,15); (0, 20) 4. (0,20); (0,30) How can I do it (pereferably using OpenCV)? I though about Hough lines, but they seem to be good for perfect thin straight lines, which is not the case in a drawing. I'll probably work on binarized image, too.

• Laying out JPanels to make a simple GUI

  Hello, first of all, this is more or less my first GUI and ive learned Java for not more then a week, so it might contain some serious programming errors. What i have right now is: Buttons and labels are part of OptionPanel and are on the left, DrawingPanel is about 5x5 px in size and is on the right. What I am trying to do is a simple test, to get me more familiar with the GUI. • R: building a simple command line plotting tool/Capturing window close events

  I am trying to use R within a script that will act as a simple command line plot tool. I.e. user pipes in a csv file and they get a plot. I can get to R fine and get the plot to display through various temp file machinations, but I have hit a roadblock. I cannot figure out how to get R to keep running until the users closes the window. If I plot and exit, the plot disappears immediately. If I plot and use some kind of infinite loop, the user cannot close the plot; he must exit by using an interrupt which I don't like. I see there is a getGraphicsEvent function, but it claims that the device is not supported (X11). Anyway, it doesn't appear to actually support an onClose event, only onMouseDown. Any ideas on how to solve this? edit: Thanks to Dirk for the advice to check out the tk interface. • Simple iPhone tally method question

  Just trying to create a simple method that counts up 1 on the tally when the button is pressed. My knowledge is extremely limited and I am pretty sure that my problem is somewhere in the method implementation: -(IBAction) updateTally:(id) sender { NSString *text; int total = 0; total = total + 1; text=[[NSString alloc] initWithFormat: @"%i", total]; lblTally.text = text; } I have done the necessary interface declarations for the lblTally UILabel and the updateTally method. I suspect that there is some sort of an NSString/int/%i/%@ mixup that I am making but I'm not sure how to fix it. When I run the program as it currently is it displays a 0 in the lblTally label field on the iphone. When I press the button it then displays a 1 in that field. However, if I continue to press the button - nothing happens.

  We work on a lot of small website projects. There are three of us in different physical locations. I would like a system that is very simple where the main concern is checking out and checking in web files (php, css, images, js) so that we don't accidentally overwrite each other's code. We also need a way to synch our local file systems with the files on the webserver and with each other. Rolling back to older versions is nice but features like branching and merging are not important. It seems like GIT may be overkill for our purpose or maybe not. Can you recommend anything?

  I'm trying to find a good Church Management System (ChMS). Essentially, a CRM for churches. My budget is about $0...so open source or in-house development is preferred (and by in-house, I mean me). I'm wondering if anyone could make some recommendations as to possibilities? I'm open to SaaS solutions as well. For those interested in more details...: I've looked at Zoho CRM and while I like it, they only offer three licenses free, an insignificant discount for non-profits, etc. I've looked at Salesforce's NPSF which is nice but almost too much for a small church. Additionally, its taking a long time to jump through all the hoops necessary to get the licenses. I'm wondering if some combination of Wufoo and similar SaaS apps. might offer what I'm looking for? I've looked at Google spradsheets...if only they had a db application. :P Its really pretty simple what I need...something to maintain contact info., to remember important dates, to keep dates, to schedule followups, etc.

  I'm looking for a very basic slideshow which displays images of various sizes. For example, the first image could be a standard 800x600 but the next might be a taller portrait image and so on. The slideshow doesn't need to have any controls. The specification just states that the page will be black and in the centre there'll be the area where images will display. As far as I know, it will be very simple like this - www.jeffcutter.net. I'm limited on time here so I'm not able to look into writing a custom one or anything like that.   Hi, At first -I need to do it as my university project so I am not interested in using existing tools. I would like to know whether it is even possible to write a very simple tool that I could use for performance testing of web applications. It would only record actions (I do not know, maybe just packet sniffering?) and then replay. However I have basic idea (record packets on port 80 and sending them again), I do not know how to measure time for each transaction as they are not differentiated.   I am trying to do a simple read of an Avro file stored in HDFS. I found out how to read it when it is on the local file system.... I cannot give the openReader a Path or an FSDataInputStream. How can I simply read an Avro file in HDFS? EDIT: I got this to work by creating a custom class (SeekableHadoopInput) that implements SeekableInput. I "stole" this from "Ganglion" on github. Still, seems like there would be a Hadoop/Avro integration path for this. Thanks

  So, I am adapting some code I found online to suit my needs. However, my set_pixel function has two more parameters. Since there are lots of calls to this function even doing a quick paste over would be very tedious. So, I thought this would be a good time for me to learn some simple regular expressions. So, I have calls of this type: set_pixel(arg1, arg2); which I want to change to something like: set_pixel(arg1, arg2, arg3, arg4); Note: arg1 and and 2 should be preserved, whereas arg3 and arg4 are most of the time the same.
