  • jQuery.closest(); traversing down the DOM not up

    Afternoon peoples. I am having a bit of a nightmare traversing a DOM tree properly. And I am trying to traverse from input.save at the bottom right the way up to div.node... This all works well with one copy of the markup but if I duplicate it (obvisouly changing the ID of the uppermost div.node and use jQuery.closest('div.node') for the upper of the div.node's it will return the element below it not the element above it (which is the right one). I've tried using parents() but that also has it's caveats.     My question concerns markup that surrounds some of the default phone number labels in the Person entries of the Contact list on the iPhone. I have created an iPhone contact list address book entry for a person, "John Smith" with the following phone number entries: Mobile (604) 123-4567 iPhone (778) 123-4567 Home (604) 789-4561 Work (604) 456-7891 Main (604) 789-1234 megaphone (234) 567-8990 Note that the first five labels are default labels provided by the Contacts application and the last label, "megaphone", is a custom label.   • Porting GNOME keyboard shortcuts to URXVT

    I recently switched from gnome terminal to urxvt (and installed tabbed extensions). I am also a heavy emacs user which uses a lot of key combinations similar to urxvt (tab related stuff) like Shift-Left and Shift-Right. These key-combinations are set for selecting text in emacs. Is there a way to map ALT-1, ALT-2, ALT-3 for tabs 1, 2, 3 ..? Is there an extension to do that ? Can it be achieved through the ~/.Xdefaults file ?

  • Apache tiles and body onload event. Known issue?

    We're prototyping a new visual framework using Apache Tiles for markup templating. Often the document onload event (actually prototype's dom:loaded event) is getting fired before all DOM objects are actually loaded Is it possible that the tiles templates are loading in an asynchronous fashion and therefore doing an end run around the event handler? Has anyone else had this experience? Can anyone share a robust workaround? thanks in advance

  • Jquery Modal Dialog disables form elements

    Hi, When I set my jQuery dialog to model=true, it disables my form elements inside the dialog and I cannot use them, only the buttons. I have seen examples where the contents of the dialog is declared in the dialog initiation script and then injected. but that is just to bulky for me, I want to be able to create my markup inside the DIV which I turn into a dialog. Anyone got a solution for me?

  • How can I protect Chrome user interface?

    Google Chrome has a feature to change between Google accounts which allows several users to have their customized extensions, history and whatnot retrieved instantly. It doesn't, however, protect someone else from checking anything google related. That means anyone with access to your computer can check every google account that was setup as user in Chrome. How can I prevent that? I first thought of checking a box with the option to have Chrome request for password upon user change but that doesn't seem to exist.

  • How do you embed XHTML into APT file when using Maven to generate a site?

    I am using maven to generate a website for a Java project, which uses APT "Almost Plain Text" as a wiki like markup. Maven takes this and turns it into XHTML. I already have a custom template/skin that I am using for the site, but the index page will have a couple of extra custom design elements that are beyond the capabilities of APT. So how can you add xhtml to the apt file so that it gets correctly embedded in the final output? Thanks.

  • IE6 Bug - Div within Anchor tag: inline images not links

    I'm trying to get everything in the anchor tag to be a clickable link. Unfortunately, in IE6 (which is the only browser I'm concerned with currently), the only thing that isn't a clickable link are the inline images. I know that it's not valid html to put a div inside of an anchor but it's not my markup and I've been asked to avoid changing it. Any suggestions to altering the CSS to enable the images as clickable links? If changing the markup is the only solution... any suggestions there? My initial thought was to set the image as a background of it's parent (.ph-item-featured-img), although I'm unclear if that will solve the problem.   • Email server can send internal, but messages never arrive at external recipients

    I'm running MailEnable on my server, and have been for many years. Recently we had an attack on our server, and I was able to close the hole. Since then, our mail server doesn't seem to be sending mail out. If I send an email from myself to another account hosted on the server, the email arrives as expected. If I send an email from my gmail account to my business account, the email also arrives as expected The problem comes when I send from my business account to an external domain I tried the following Gmail.com Hotmail.com Shaw.ca When I send to any of the above The message leaves my client as expected, The logs appear to accept and forward on the message The SMTP outbound que is empty The message never arrives I have checked our domain with mxtoolbox.com senderbase.org And neither of them are reporting any problems with our domain.   • Firefox automatically switching to https

    I am using firefox 14 and lately, I have been observing this weird problem with my firefox. Everytime I put an address in address bar and hit return, https version of the site opens. This has no problem to me but some of my the sites which do not support https can not be opened without typing full http:// followed by the site . I am not using https enabling extension. No extensions were changed when this problem popped up.

  • How to install non Microsoft USB device driver on PC without admin rights?

    I am running Win 7x32 secured corporate laptop. My USB audio device has .exe installer file which is not possible to execute because of having no admin rights. Is it possible to embed driver files in the system without installation? All attempts of unpacking the .exe file got failed. 7zip is extracting files without extensions and Universal Extractor says that .exe file is 7zip self extracting archive. Thank you Ron

  • OpenSSL x509 Purpose flag "Any Purpose" What is this?

    Looking at the details of a certificate using the following: openssl x509 -noout -text -purpose -in mycert.pem I find a bunch of purpose flags (which I've discovered are set by the various extensions attached to a certificate). One of these purpose flags is "Any Purpose". I can't seem to find ANY documentation on this flag and why or why not it is set.
