• How can I access the copy buffer on the web?

  Wild question here. Is it possible to access the copy buffer on the web. What I mean is. Can I go into Photoshop. Select a piece of a photo. Copy that piece and paste it into some element. That something would be like a Java applet or Flash or Silverlight or anything. I am just wondering if it is possible and if someone could point me in a direction. Since a few google searches have only found where you can copy files and paste via a Java applet.

  When someone posts a link to a web site in Facebook, it populates the link preview box with a photo and some text from the site. If someone posts a link to my site in Facebook, it is generally just get the site's domain name and one of the images that appears on the site. No text appears. I would like to be able to control what text and images appear in the link. Is there a specification that they use? Can I provide some metadata so Facebook will display what I want?

• Facebook Graph API - Get like count on page/group photos

  I've been testing graph API and ran into a problem. How can I get like count from photos of a page/group? I'm administrator/creator of a group. When entering in https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/ certain photo ID from that group it brings almost all data, even comments, but not the like count. For like part it needs (according to docs) access token despite the fact that anyone can access that info. How to get access token of my page/group with required permissions and how to use it to get info I need? If possible I would like to get JSON from a single address if it is possible.

The reason I am doing this is for a VBulletin forum signature since it marquees left to right. I have tried editing the animation in Photoshop and I flipped the canvas to horizontal...   This is my script - it simply looks for the image file associated to a person record. Now the error will display if there is NO .jpg evident when the query runs. Msg 4860, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Cannot bulk load. The file "C:\Dev\ClientServices\Defence\RAN\Shore\Config\Photos\002054.2009469432270600.001.jpg" does not exist. Is there a way to write this query to 'IF not exists then set id_number = '002054.2009469432270427.001' - so it wil always display this photo for any records without a picture. • QT4, paginated showing elements

  I am going to write an application that uses QT4 (with C++ or python it isnt important in that moment). One of functionality is "Showing all items in database". One item has a Title, author, description and photo (constant size) And there could be very many items. Let's say 400. There won't be enough space to show'em all at once time. One row will have 200px, so i need at most 4 for once time. How to paginate them? I have no idea. I can use limit and offset in SQL queries, but how to tell window: "that's 5th page"? Any solutions?

• Simple modal div in jQuery?

  I have tried almost all of the jQuery Modal plkugins I can find on the net but they are all much to bulky for what I need. I dont need all the fancy features, I want to be able to open a div and have the background of the page go transparent grey like the photo below and have my div be on top of it, that is all I need to do so I would like to write some jquery to do this instead of using a bulky plugin. Does anyone have any small code that can do this task? Is the transparent background an image or just css?

  I'm currently trying to write a script in RoR to go into my PGAdmin database and look at a list of users, THEN ignore users that have an image path but look at users who don't have one and then upload a link of a generic photo into their row. My database looks Something like this: id integer | name | email | image path | 12 Bob [email protected] www.faces.org 81 Sally [email protected] 114 Mark [email protected] www.faces.org How would I start grabbing those users, I only have 103 users right now, but I also need to think about scaling for the future.   I have a form in which there are total eight fields, name, address, age and 5 other file/photo upload fields such that at a time one upload field is visible.. Now here every time I upload a file i need to fill the "name, address and age" as well. at this point I dont want to submit the form, but I just want to save these values in any variable and get back to same form with information of previous file ready to be submitted, now again user can upload new file with new values in... and so on... as user is done with the 5 files he should not be allowed to upload more but he should be allowed to submit all the 5 files to DB along with there supporting fields.. How should I proceed further ...?

• CaptureCameraDialog returns OK but does not save (Motorola ES400)

  Ok it seems like everyone in the world has issues with CaptureCameraDialog. In my case the result is OK, but when taking the photo there is a MessageBox that says "Error" that appears and disappears in the blink of an eye, then returns to my app (so I don't have time to actually read the error). It has not saved the file. It does not throw an error to my application. There is also another issue which is exactly the same as the issue talked about here (yet none of the fixes work for me). http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-4025602.php Does anyone know how to get the "error message" that the dialogue box displays for an instant?

  I have a page that shows a bunch of thumbnails (around 30), and the client is wanting them to appear one by one, in order, going from left to right on the page. • Rails - Paperclip, getting width and height of image in model

  Trying to get the width and height of the uploaded image while still in the model on the initial save. Any way to do this? Here's the snippet of code I've been testing with from my model. • TTPhotoViewController: How to show small images

  Hi, I posted this question on Three20 google group but did not get any response. So I thought I try this forum. I am using TTPhotoViewController to display photos. I am following sample code given in Three20 sample project: TTCatalog/PhotoTest1Controller.m. In my case some of the images are less than (320,480). The problem which I am facing is that when my image is 200*300 then TTPhotoViewController re-sizes it to full screen on load which distorts the image. I was wondering if there is a way to tell TTPhotoViewController to display image in its actual size and not to resize it. The only thing which I have changed is viewDidLoad function in PhotoTest1Controller.m. • jQuery fadeOut() function doesn't ALWAYS work in Chrome, Firefox, IE

  Sometimes, the slideshow on my website, which uses fadeOut and fadeIn to cycle through three main images, will fadeIn a new photo without fading in the old one. This doesn't happen every time the page loads though. • MySQL query optimization.

The query Idea is select all products, where stock_quanity 3, where is photo, and where is no product id in allegro table. Now query takes about 10 seconds... • Should all presentational images be defined in CSS?

  I've been learning (X)HTML & CSS recently, and one of the main principles is that HTML is for structure and CSS for presentation. With that in mind, it seems to me that a fair number of images on most sites are just for presentation and as such should be in the CSS (with a div or span to hold them in the HTML) - for example logos, header images, backgrounds. However, while the examples in my book put some images in CSS, they are still often in the HTML. (I'm just talking about 'presentational' images, not 'structural' ones which are a key part of the content, for example photos in a photo site). Should all such images be in CSS? Or are there technical or logical reasons to keep them in the HTML? Thanks, Grant

• Ideas for band site, which technology to use?

  I am attempting to design and build a website for my friends band. There is minimal content to be included such as bio,news,enbemdded Audio/Visual material. My web dev expertise is average. I'm basicaly looking for inspiration, I was edging towards embedding a silverlight deepzoom xap object to add some visual stimulation, perhaps by featuring a high res photo of the bandshardware/equipment which zooms when mouseover occurs. Does anyone have any cool ideas for a central feature for this site, and which way to approact it in terms of technique (js,css,silverlight etc) If anyone has any immediate ideas which they think would be cool then I am eager to hear them! Also if anyone can link me to any cool band sites they have come across recently I would be greatful,nothing too complicated though please I will be doing all the work myself. Im want the site to be simple but have a certain wow factor!

• Delayed Jobs is not finding Records and failing..

  In my app, delayed jobs isn't running automatically on my server anymore. It used to.. When I manually ssh in, and perform rake jobs:work I return this : * Starting job worker host:ip-(censored) pid:21458 * [Worker(host:ip-(censored) pid:21458)] acquired lock on PhotoJob * [JOB] host:ip-(censored) pid:21458 failed with ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound: Couldn't find Photo with ID=9237 - 4 failed attempts This returns roughly 20 times over for what I think is several jobs. Then I get a few of these: [Worker(host:ip-(censored) pid:21458)] failed to acquire exclusive lock for PhotoJob And then finally one of these : 12 jobs processed at 73.6807 j/s, 12 failed ... Any ideas what I should be mulling over? Thanks so much!

• Edit Mode Delete Spinner Icon for Specific TableView Rows

  I have a grouped tableview. Each section has three rows. I need to be able to delete one section at a time. Using the standard edit mode, I can make it work. However, the delete icon shows up to the left of each cell, not just the first row in each section. Is there a way to suppress the little spinner icon for all rows except the first? I am hoping there is an easy way to do this without subclassing. Thanks for your help. • can you use jquery lazyload on all images (not just ones out of view)

  i have a webpage with a lot of images (photo album). I am using lazyloading jquery plugin which is great to only load the images out of browser view when i scroll down. The one issue i have is that i want the loading icon to show up first on images loading IN the current view as well as some of them are big images and they show up with that bad browser "image not loaded yet" icon until they download. I don't see any property on this plugin to support this for both in view and for scrolling. does anyone know if this is possible?

• In your opinion what web technology would be best suited for building dropdown menus?

  What I need is a slide menu that is activated by one click. The menu then appears and doesn't disappear until user clicks any where else on the current page. I don't require any effects but need something reliable that I can style with ease, put a thumbnail of a photo inside change dimensions, add mouse over effects etc. I've done a several searches on google and quite a lot of options are coming up and I'm not too sure which would be best for me. I've seen some people suggestion html + css3 and others suggest jquery. Does any of these options have a benefit over the other? I would appreciate your opinions and maybe some links thanks.
