  • flashvars object was not working in mozilla browser

    Hi,I am retrieving an flashvars object from JSP file. Like userid = mx.core.Application.application.parameters.userJspid;like this it is retrieving in IE browser. But not in FF (Mozilla), why it’s not retrieving is there any code i need to add it for Mozilla specially.   • How to set classpath in manifest file , while creating JAR from eclipse?

    I am trying to creat JAR file through eclipse. I read some of the threads from stackoverflow as well as other forums. But nothing is helping. I have created a separate manifest file like this one. `Manifest-Version: 1.0 Main-Class: Main Class-Path: gnujaxp.jar iText-2.1.5.jar jcalendar.jar jcommon-1.0.16.jar jfreechart-1.0.13.jar jfreechart-1.0.13-experimental.jar jfreechart-1.0.13-swt.jar junit.jar servlet.jar swtgraphics2d.jar tinyos.jar ` I have put all this jars in same project folder. While exporting i am exporting all resources (meants this jar files also.) But still i am getting noclassdeffound error when my application tries to load any one of the jar included.   • Detect car acceleration in Android app?

    I want to incorporate some Accelerometer code into a Android application im working and want to see if this is possible. Basically what I need is for the code to detect car acceleration motion. I am not wanting to determine speed with the code but just distinguish if the phone is in a car and has accelerated motion (Hence the car is moving for the first time). I have gone through many different accelerometer applications to see if this motion produces a viable profile to go off of and it appears it does. Just looking for something that popups a "Hello World" dialog when it detects your in the car and its moving for the first time down the street. Any help would be appreciated and a simple yes or no its possible would work. I would also be interested in compensating anyone that is capable of doing this as well. I need this done like yesterday so please let me know. Thank You, JTW

  • comparator with null values.

    Hi, We have some code wich sorts a list of addresses based on the distance between their coordinates. this is done through collections.sort with a custom comparator. However from time to time an adress without coordinates is in the list causing a NullPointerException. My initial idea to fix this was to have the comparator return 0 as dististance for addresses where at least one of the coordinates is null. I fear this might lead to corruption of the order the 'valid' elements in the list. so is returning a '0' values for null data in a comparator ok, or is there a cleaner way to resolve this.

    Recently I asked which was the best Swing component to bind to a BigDecimal variable (with some particular editing properties). It turns out that none of the standard Swing components suit me completely, nor did the third-party Swing component libraries I've found out there. So I’ve decided to create my own Swing component. Component description: I want to extend JTextField or JFormattedTextField, so my new component can be easily bound to a BigDecimal variable. The component will have customizable scale and length properties. Behavior: When the component is drawn, it shows only the decimal point and space for scale digits to its right. When the component receives focus the caret should be positioned left to the decimal point. As the user types numbers (any other character is ignored) they appear to the left of the caret, only length – scale numbers are accepted, any other number typed is ignored as the integer portion is full. Any time the user types the decimal point the caret moves to the right side of the decimal point. The following numbers typed are shown in the decimal part, only scale numbers are considered any other number typed is ignored as the decimal portion is full. Additionally, thousand separators should appear as the user types numbers left to the decimal point. Invoking a getValue() method on the component should yield the BigDecimal representing the number just entered. I’ve never created my own Swing component; I’ve barely used the standard ones. So I would appreciate any good tutorial/info/tip on creating the component described. This is the only thing I've got so far. Thanks in advance.

  • How to avoid SQLiteException locking errors

    I'm developing an android app. It has multiple threads reading from and writing to the android SQLite db. I am receiving the following error: SQLiteException: error code 5: database is locked I understand the SQLite locks the entire db on inserting/updating, but these errors only seems to happen when inserting/updating while I'm running a select query. The select query returns a cursor which is being left open quite a wile (a few seconds some times) while I iterate over it. If the select query is not running, I never get the locks. I'm surprised that the select could be locking the db.... is this possible, or is something else going on? What's the best way to avoid such locks? Thanks TAO

  • Counter that will remember it's value

    I have a task to operate on complex number. Each number consists of double r = real part, double i = imaginary part and String name. Name must be set within constructor, so I've created int counter, then I'm sending it's value to setNextName function and get name letter back. Unfortunately incrementing this 'counter' value works only within costructor and then it is once again set to 0. How to deal with that?Some constant value? And second problem is that I also need to provide setNextNames(char c) function that will change the counter current value. I am posting an xml query from Fiddler and i receive the result without any problem. BUT i have done an integration test for the same interface, i send the same objects and i put the response like: final MultipartOutput multiPartOutput = getClient().query(getUserRestAuth(), 0, 25, null, null, null, instanceQuery); But here, so from integration tests, i receive a strange error: Unable to find a MessageBodyReader of content-type multipart/mixed;boundary="74c5b6b4-e820-452d-abea-4c56ffb514bb" and type class org.jboss.resteasy.plugins.providers.multipart.MultipartOutput Anyone has any ideea why only in integration tests i receive this error? PS: Some of you will say that i do not send application/xml as ContentType but multipart, which of course is false because the objects are annotated with the required @XmlRootElement etc, otherways neither the POST from Fiddler would work.

  • Android OutOfMemoryError - Loading JSON File

    The app I am working on needs to read a JSON file that may be anywhere from 1.5 to 3 MB in size. It seems to have no problem opening the file and converting the data to a string, but when it attempts to convert the string to a JSONArray, OutOfMemoryErrors are thrown. The exceptions look something like this: E/dalvikvm-heap( 5307): Out of memory on a 280-byte allocation. W/dalvikvm( 5307): Exception thrown (Ljava/lang/OutOfMemoryError;) while throwing internal exception (Ljava/lang/OutOfMemoryError;) One strange thing about this is that the crash only occurs every 2nd or 3rd time the app is run, leaving me to believe that the memory consumed by the app is not being garbage collected each time the app closes. Any insight into how I might get around this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am open to the idea of loading the file in chunks, but I'm not quite sure what the best approach is for such a task. Thank you

I can easily instantiate an XmlSlurper object with the relevant string using the parseString(string) method or the parse(reader) method, but I cannot seem to get the Neko processing step correct.   • Issue with org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient listFiles()

    The listFiles() method of org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient works fine with Filezilla server on 127.0.0.1 but returns null on the root directory of public FTP servers such as belnet.be. There is an identical question on the link below but enterRemotePassiveMode() doesn't seem to help. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2339855/apache-commons-ftpclient-listfiles Could it be an issue with list parsing? If so, how can go about solving this?

I have seen these approaches, none of them good for me (the above example is a toy example): Load the class (or a separate interface) by a class loader that is a parent of both the calling code and created classloader Serialize and deserialize the object.
