• Windows7 explorer context strip hook?

  Hy everybody, I'm wondering if it's possible to add a new button via C++ or C# to windows 7 explorer "context strip"(don't know if this is correct name) - like on picture below. My reason for this is because a lot of times I'm switching on&off "Show hidden files, folders and drives" functionality under Tools-Folder option-View. Therefore i want to simplify this process with a click of a button. I was looking into ShellExecteEx function, but I am not sure I can do that. Can Anybody direct me in right direction? thanks, regards

  Hi, i am trying to bind data to a datagridview control on an ASPX webpage and am using something like this.. <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="MyField"> <ItemTemplate> <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "MyField") %> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> the problem i am having is that the data for the 'MyField' field is actually an integer that is a reference to a string value in another sql table. Does anyone know how i can reformat my code line above to show the string value instead of the int value?

The ${label} part isn't being replaced by the build label like I expect. I'm expecting something like build.1 to show up in place of ${label}. How do I make this happen? I do have the default labelincrementer configured with a <labelincrementer /> tag in my project. Also, the CruiseControl documentation is absolutely awful. Is there better documentation anywhere?

• NotificationCenter Widget Failed To Use CoreLocation

  I'm writing a notification center widget, and it had to use location information. In normal apps I use CoreLocation and it works fine. But in my widget, I tried to locationServicesEnabled but it didn't go to the callback functions, and the authorizationStatus is always kCLAuthorizationStatusNotDetermined, and the authorize setting didn't show up in Setting - location service. I already set the delegate to the class. The system's Yahoo weather widget can auto locating and it uses CoreLocation too, so the widget do have ability to use location service. Why CoreLocation doesn't work on my widget?

• How do you open a second WPF window without creating a new one.

  In the program I am trying to build, I have a menu button that opens a second window. The user puts information into the second window, presses the "Done" button, and the information is transfered into the main window. The problem I am having is opening the second window. I have both windows build in xaml files in Visual Studio but I can't find a way to show the second window. Using "Window window = new Window" does not fit my needs because 1) I already have the second window built and 2) I have tried this and I cannot figure out how to add children to the window; there is no window.children nor any grid to put the children into. I am working on the google maps integration in iphone (objective C). i am calculating zoom level dynamically so that two map points fits the iphone screen. it is good for locations very far, but i have issue that if two locations are very near to each other the zoom level then the images go blank and does not show anything other than blurred image, which i dont want. i want that if location are very near then there should be some default level zoom that should be called or fitted in, so that images wont blur.

• Alter Git prompt on Windows

  I'm using Git on Windows, installed through GitExtensions with MSysGit (latest) having selected "do not modify my Windows prompt" during installation. Now, I would like to be able to modify the default prompt (which by default shows just the branch name to also show me how much time, and how many local commits since I last pushed to origin (or specifically origin/master, whichever is easier). So say instead of: me@myPC /c/myRepo (master) I would see something along the lines of: me@myPC /c/myRepo (master) 5 | 10:20 meaning I have last pushed 10h 20min ago and I have made 5 local commits since. Before you mention it, I am aware there are ways of doing it with PowerShell, but I don't want to use it. I want my standard git bash we all know and love. I found a few solutions to that, with modifying PS1 variable in .bashrc file, but (excuse my poor Unix konwledge) they seem to be not working, (for example accepted answer to this question). So there you have it. Is this possible?

  Can someone explain to me why these comparisons work they way the do. I had a bug in one of my scripts that took me a little bit to work through. I was using read-host and typing a number. It was storing it as a string. Write-Host "(`'2`' -gt 9 ) = " ('2' -gt 9 ) Write-Host "(2 -gt 9 ) = " (2 -gt 9 ) Write-Host "(`'2`' -gt 10 ) = " ('2' -gt 10 ) If you are comparing a string to an Int does it use the Ascii value? If so why does the first one show $false, it should be $true. Then how is it when you chage it to an int of 10 it because $true.

• Wrong Editing Controls Displayed in UITableView

  Hi all, I'm having a strange problem with UITableView. When the user taps the Edit button, the tableview (which is a grouped view with multiple sections) is supposed to show delete buttons for each row--except for the final row in each section, which has a green add button. When a user taps the green button, a new row is inserted, but now the final row gets a delete button. Even stranger, that delete button ACTS like an add button. So it seems there's a drawing glitch, rather than a problem in assigning the correct style. (Extensive NSLogging shows that the last cell is getting the Insert editing style correctly.) I've tried setting setNeedsDisplay on the cell and the tableView, I've tried reloading that section/row/the entire table, but the issue persists. Any ideas on how to get UITableView to explicitly redraw the editing controls?

• How to enable an AdventureWorks database in a web application?

  I am developing a C#/SQL ASP.NET web application in VS 2008. I want the users to be able to select an Adventureworks table and then an input file. The user is then able to map columns from the file with the selected table. This app works fine now in VS. But when I Browse in IIS, it doesn't show any of the tables. I think this is because currently Adventureworks connection string is integrated security (Windows authentication). If I want users to be able to select a table, do I have to change connection to SQL Server authentication? And if so, is the only way to do this to reinstall SQL Server? Or can I just reinstall Adventureworks? And if I reinstall SQL Server, do I need to reinstall VS also for this to work? This could be painful...

  I am working on my first Python app using PythonXY (2.6 and Qt4). I have a window with some buttons and a QtabWidget. When I press a button I want to plot a 3D image on a specific tab. I managed to get a 2D plot but I can't get the axes to 3D. Via Qt desiger I use the mplwidget. In many examples I see the use of figure(), but I can't get that to work with the mplwidget. (I am not sure if that is even possible) Can you please show me an example of code defining the 3D axes (in a QtabWidget) with a simple plot ? Thanks very much

  The following validation code in the model: validates :formatted_address, :zip, :city, :state, :country, :presence => true, :message => "is incomplete. Please enter full address." is displayed when either of the fields are empty. Let's say now :address and country are empty, 2 errors are displayed: Formatted Address is incomplete.   Is there a way in eclipse to filter/hide empty directory trees in the package explorer view? This is different than filtering directories like '.svn' or maven's target, or filtering empty packages. It's more trying to clean up empty directories trees that show up as a result of filter rules. Context- We have a generic project in our workspace that uses filters to ignore non text based files(mp3s, jpgs, etc). It allows us to quickly edit our files in eclipse. The problem is because of the filters there are a lot of empty folders present. If eclipse can ignore any empty folders due to filters it would make the project cleaner.

  I've had a look through quite a few tutorials, but cant seem to find how to open multipe windows? I'm not expecting to have them layer etc, I just want to define multiple window classes and say, from a menu, launch the appropriate window class from the menu window. Then when that window is finished, call the close method on it and menu will show again. I have managed to do the same kind of functionality using panels, but think window is really what I should be using? (.NET MF 4.0) I assume you can do this? I think im missing something obvious?

  I have a SL3 + Ria service application that I want to trace what is are the calls made between the client and the server. Since I am debugging the application in localhost, I am unable to see any trace in fiddler. I tried http://localhost.:port/websitename/page.aspx and I got "The requested URL could not be retrieved" message. If i remove '.' between localhost and port my page show up but there is no fiddler capture. How would one go about to see/capture all the calls made between the client and service in localhost? • MySQL: Records inserted by hour, for the last 24 hours

  I'm trying to list the number of records per hour inserted into a database for the last 24 hours. Each row displays the records inserted that hour, as well as how many hours ago it was. Here's my query now: SELECT COUNT(*), FLOOR( TIME_TO_SEC( TIMEDIFF( NOW(), time)) / 3600 ) FROM `records` WHERE time > DATE_SUB(NOW(), INTERVAL 24 HOUR) GROUP BY HOUR(time) ORDER BY time ASC right now it returns: 28 23 62 23 14 20 1 4 28 3 19 1 That shows two rows from 23 hours ago, when it should only show one per hour. I think it has something to do with using NOW() instead of getting the time at the start of the hour, which I'm unsure on how to get. There must be a simpler way of doing this.
