• Problems with mysql syntax

  Hello everyone !! I´m trying to create a trigger on MySQL but I´m having a sintaxe problem, which I was not able to find. If someone more experient could help me it would be great (it´s the first time I use MySQL!)... The reason why I´m creating this trigger is for deleting all the orphan "labels", which has a many-to-many relation with "service_descriptor" (this two entities are linked by service_labels). • is there any way to get country names from iPhone APIs?

  Hi, I want to provide a picker to the user to select a country. I've had a look in the NSLocale docs and I can get a list of all of the country codes supported on the device, which feels like a start: Code: NSArray *codes = [[NSArray alloc] initWithArray:[NSLocale ISOCountryCodes]]; But I can't work out if there is a programatic way to convert this array into country names... Ideally this list would be localized as well, i.e. show the country name in the user's preferred language. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  I need to create a field called “rank”, that ranks each part ID based on total sales, by assigning a sequential number based on total sales, where the higher the total sales, then the lower the rank value. For example, the part ID with the most sales would have a rank value of “1” and the part ID with the next highest sales would have a rank value of “2” and the part ID with the lowest sales would rank with the highest number. If 2 different parts ID’s have the same total sales, then it is OK if they share the same rank. • PHP: reusing database class

  Hi, I built a class that allows me to do: $db->query($query); and it works perfectly, although if I want to do: $db->query($query); while($row = $db->fetch_assoc()){ $db->query($anotherquery); echo $db->result(); } it "breaks" the class. I don't want to constantly have to redeclare my class (eg: $seconddb = new database()), is there a way to get around this? I want to be able to reuse $db within $db, without overwriting the "outside" db. currently I'm create an array of data (from db-fetch_assoc() then doing a foreach and then doing the db call inside that: $db->query('SELECT * FROM table'); while($row = $db->fetch_assoc()){ $arr[] = $row; } foreach($arr as $a){ $db->query(); // query and processing here } Is this the best method or am I missing the obvious? Should I consider passing a connection link ID with the database connection?

• Retrieving GET variable via PHP, send to SWF on same script?

  Is it possible to retrieve a GET variable within a PHP script and subsequently send the variable data to an SWF on the same script/document? I want the user to select an item on a PHP document and then use a Flash application I am developing to manipulate that data. I know how to load data from a PHP script into an SWF via URLLoader, but only by initiating the loading process from within the SWF. So, I am asking if it's possible to send the PHP data to the SWF from external source. Would the SWF need to listen in some manner? Is Javascript necessary here? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

• Is it possible to make a TListView search by the caption of a different column in Delphi?

  Hi, When you set the Caption of a TListItem it seems to always set the Text for the first column in the row. When you start typing in the ListView it will search & select the closest match based on the caption of the first column. I have a situation where I need the caption of the first row to be empty, but still need the search functionality to work as normal (in this case the data I would be searching for may be in the 2nd/3rd column). Is this possible without using any 3rd party controls?

  I want to run a particular block of PHP if the user submits a form. It works if I use a submit button with name="submit" and: <?php if(isset($_POST['submit'])) { code to run } ?> I don't know anything about javascript, and I want the code to run if the user changes a dropdown menu. If I make the first line of the dropdown <select name="dropdownname" onchange="this.form.submit()"> the form appears (I haven't tested it) to submit if the user changes the dropdown choice. However, if I do this, the if(isset($_POST['submit'])) PHP code doesn't run. Is there a PHP if statement I can write that will respond to the form being submitted even though it's being submitted by a change in the dropdown and not a submit button?

  I'm creating a report comparing total time and volume across units. Here a simplification of the query I'm using at the moment: SELECT m.Unit, COUNT(*) AS Count, SUM(m.TimeInMinutes) AS TotalTime FROM main_table m WHERE m.unit <> '' AND m.TimeInMinutes > 0 GROUP BY m.Unit HAVING COUNT(*) > 15 However, I have been told that I need to exclude cases where the row's time is in the highest or lowest 5% to try and get rid of a few wacky outliers. (As in, remove the rows before the aggregates are applied.) How do I do that?

  It seems to work ok but I don't know if this can be impoved on or not. I want to select any HTML tag that has a class of edit-text-NUM or edit-html-NUM and change the color of it. Here is what I am using... jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('*') .filter(function() { return this.className.match(/edit-(text|html)-\d/); }) .css({ 'color': '#ff0000' }); }); Does that look ok and is the regex ok? *edit: Also is this efficient? I am aware that using jQuery('*') might be a bit of a hog if it's a large page. It only has to work from <body> down so maybe it could be changed?

  In order to fix a bug, I have to iterate over all the rows in a table, updating a cached count of children to what its real value should be. The structure of the things in the table form a tree. Alternatively, is there any way of doing this in multiple queries, but in pure MySQL?   Is it possible to get the information why/how given row returned by FTS query was matched (or which substring caused row to match)? For example, consider simpliest table with id and text columns, with FTS index on the later one. SELECT * FROM Example WHERE CONTAINS(text, 'FORMSOF(INFLECTIONAL, jump)'); This examplary query could return, say row {1, 'Jumping Jack'}. Now, is it possible to somehow get information that this very row was matched because of 'Jumping' word? It doesn't even have to be exact information, more of a which substring caused row to match. Why I'm asking - I got C# app that builds up those queries basing on user input (keywords to search for), and I need the very basic information why/how row was matched back, to use further in C# code. If it's not possible, any alternatives?

  Hello all, I am using Linq 2 Sql in VS 2010, and I have the following stored procedure to check a username and password ALTER PROCEDURE dbo.CheckUser ( @username varchar(50), @password varchar(50) ) AS SELECT * FROM Users Where UserName=@username AND Password=@password The problem I'm having is that it throws an exception if the username and password are incorrect. I'd like to perform a check to see if there is a return value, rather than using try/catch to determine whether the procedure returned a value. Should I do this check in code (C#)? Or is there a way to do it in SQL? Thanks.

So, for example _DE is selected, then the options of "Option 1_DE", "Option 2_DE", "Option 3_DE" would be displayed. If they chose Option 3_DE then I need to be able to convert this to Option 3_EN.   I am not able to run on my android tablet. I have been following the Android training link It says To run the app from Eclipse: Open one of your project's files and click Run from the toolbar. In the Run as window that appears, select Android Application and click OK. But when I do the same , I do not see anything on my Mototola xoom Tablet. I have checke dthe following link for Setting up USB drivers.As per the link , I have confirmed that device is connected When plugged in over USB, you can verify that your device is connected by executing adb devices from your SDK platform-tools/ directory. If connected, you'll see the device name listed as a "device." C:\Android\sdk\platform-tools>adb devices List of devices attached 0380610842bf5157 device Can anyone please advise where I am going wrong. What should I do to make my eclipse code run on android tablet.
