  • Dynamic sizing of SSRS Report....

    Hello....I have a report with 12 Tablixes on it. The user can pcik and choose which one of these Tables and their associated data shows when the Report is generated. However, when chosing a subset of the 12 tables, the report shows blank space where I hide the non-selected tablse. Is there any way to make the report resize/fit the size of the selected tables...truncating the white space where the invisible tables are? Thanks

    Hi everyone I load from a txt file many info, and I would like, if possible, to dynamically create NSmutable dictionary with the elements of the txt. For example, each is like that: id of element | date | text What I'm asking is the equivalent of the NSString stringWithFormat:. Can we do the same for an Mutable Dictionary? To be more practical, let's say the NSString *date is equal to "23/12/2009" (for europe). I want to create a dictionary called 23/12/2009 without declaring *23/12/2009 but just something like dictionaryWithFormat: @"%@", date]; I'm stuck on this, and I don't even know if it is possible.     In an "edit article" page i have a select list which displays author first and last name, as well as authorId as the value. As well as the article context and headline and so on (fetched with a different method) - though this method also holds the authorId of the specific article.     Hello: I've been looking around for different methods of providing plug-in support for my application. Ideally, I will be creating a core functionality and based on different customers developing different plug-ins/addons such as importing, exporting data etc... What are the some methods available for making a C# application extensible via a plug-in architecture? Lets make up an example. If we have a program that consists of a main menu ( File, Edit, View, et al. ) along with a TreeView that displays different brands of cars grouped by manufacturer ( Ford, GM, for now). Right clicking on a car displays a context menu with the only option being 'delete car'. How could you develop the application so that plug-ins could be deployed so that you could allow one customer to see a new brand in the TreeView, let's say Honda, and also extent the car context menu so that they may now 'paint a car'? In Eclipse/RCP development this is easily handled by extension points and plug-ins. How does C# handle it? I've been looking into developing my own plug-in architecture and reading up on MEF.

    I have images being dynamically added to a page, I don't seem to be able to get the 'load' event working dynamically with live(). This is the code I currently have: $('#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID).hide(); $('#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID).live('load' , function() { $('#loader' + nextUniqueItemID).hide(); $('#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID).show(); }); with '#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID being an image that was added to the page earlier in the function and '#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID being a loading image. I feel as if I may be misusing "live" as it doesn't really need a listener but to trigger the event immediately.

For example, on my form...there is a radio button that ask "Do you want to enter your age?" with an option to check YES or NO. If the user check YES, a textfield dynamically appear after this so the the user can enter his or her age. If user check NO, then nothing happen. How do I begin to do something like this?   • Placeholder containing dynamic table is empty unless I create table twice

    I am dynamically creating a table that contains a textbox in each cell. The table is put in a placeholder control. Everything displays perfectly. The problem is when I go to retrieve the values entered in the cells. I have the code to generate the table in a separate method called CreateTable(). In order for my program to find a table in the placeholder when I go to save, I have to run CreateTable() in a postback event AND in the PageLoad event. If I call CreateTable() in only one of those places and I try to save, it says the placeholder is empty and, therefore, I cannot save the textbox contents. I've tried calling CreateTable() from InitLoad but that doesn't work because it needs to reference values from three static controls: 1 dropdown, 1 listbox, and 1 calendar control, which I don't believe have had their viewstate rendered yet. Anyone have any ideas? It would sure be nice not to have to double the number of database calls just to make this work.

  • How to build a dynamic resize-able Flash player

    Morning stackers! So my question today isn't dealing with any code, but how to go about this the correct way from the start. I have a video player built to a static size (max: 800x600) which I'll have to re-code every time I need it to be a different size. What I need it to do in the near future is dynamically resize itself and all the elements inside of it based on 1 width variable that it will received either from HTML or XML. Now to me there are 2 ways to go about this: Start with the smallest size possible and resize upwards, but I'm unsure of how the Flash movie will actually expand upwards as of right now. Or 2, start with the largest size possible (in this case 800x600) and size everything down. Step 1, I think seems to be the better way to go about this (ala YouTube style), but Step 2 also seems like it could be the easier way? A friend of mine mentioned that I should go with the larger size and have elements resize in each class, then fix to the upper left hand corner. However for the player to fit inside of certain div columns on sites, blogs whatever he said that there will have to be an HTML/CSS side of this... meaning that the div containing the resized flash player will have to cover up the areas of the Flash movie that are not to be shown? Is that possible to put a 800x600 flash movie into a div that smaller then 800 pixels wide? And cover it up with another div? Anyways, my mission is to be able to have a dynamically sized player like this: Thoughts? Recommendations? Best practices for this before I start?

    I am reading the LazyTableImages code that Apple have released and they do something to this effect (in an NSOperation subclass): - (void)dealloc { [myProperty release]; [myProperty2 release]; } - (void)main { // // Parse operation undertaken here // self.myProperty = nil; self.myProperty2 = nil; } My thinking is that they do this in case dealloc is called before setting properties to nil. Is my thinking correct here? Are the releases unnecessary, as self.myProperty = nil effectively releases myProperty? One thing I have noticed in this code is that they don't release all retained objects in dealloc, only some of them, which is really the cause for my confusion. Cheers

  • C - fork() and sharing memory

    I need my parent and child process to both be able to read and write the same variable (of type int) so it is "global" between the two processes. I'm assuming this would use some sort of cross-process communication and have one variable on one process being updated. I did a quick google and IPC and various techniques come up but I don't know which is the most suitable for my situation. So what technique is best and could you provide a link to a noobs tutorial for it. Thanks.

Release should be called since alloc was called, right? If #1 is right, then I would need to store a reference to each of these in an instance variable in order to release them in the dealloc? Perhaps I'm wrong all around...

Doesn't that the value of 'x' in a() should be 'gone' as soon as test = new a() is complete? The stack contains x should also be gone as well, right? Or, does javascript always keep all the stacks ever created in case they will be referenced in future? But that wouldn't be nice, would it...?
