I want to display all the rows from table1 and sum(values) from table2. How to do this in crystal report Expected Output id name value 001 raja 450 002 vijay 200 003 suresh 350 ....   • How to suppress a group header based on running-count results?

    Hi I'm trying to suppress a group header when there are no detailed results in another following group. I have added a manual running count total which is showing correct numbers (such as 0 when no records show on the report). I've taken this approach since I have various items suppressed within the detailed section and don't want them as part of the count. I'm trying to say in the header not to shown the header if there are no corresponding records showing in the detailed section. But, it's not working. When I say suppress if the display count is 0, it suppresses all of the headers instead of just the ones that need to be displayed. HOW CAN I FIX THIS? THANKS... Sarah

    I copied the packageTmp over to the inetpub/wwwroot, then added a website and included it as my path installed the crystal report runtime,CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_4 but still did not work i also have crystalreportviewers13 folder in wwwroot/aspnet _client/systemweb/4_0_30319 this is the error I encountered when I go to the page with crystal report may i know where the path is defined?     I have a matrix, whose rows are grouped into two groups. A class, and a time for that class.     How do you determine whether the content for the detail page being displayed is filled by a specific subreport? For example, consider two subreports on the same master report, using different detail bands: Detail 1 Detail 2 The header on the master report should show certain fields on pages where the subreport in the Detail 2 band is printed. A Return Value from the subreport in the Detail 2 band only seems to be set after the report has finished, even though the Reset type for the variable (in both the master and the subreport) is set to Page. (Setting it to Report also does not help.)

    I've two classes (A and B) that extend a base class BASE. I need to make a report that takes an array of such classes and the prints the fields of A or B. I tought of using conditional expressions, then casting to one or another (depending on a field value). But I can't cast, because I don't know how to refere to the current bean. To do this I am using a JRBeanCollectionDataSource filled with a List<BASE>. How do I cast every bean to A or B in a report (or subreport)? I tried: ((A)this) but it says basically that this contains the report instance, not the current bean and gives error.

E.g: if( next() )){ call getFieldValue for every field present in the page header while( next() ){ call getFieldValue for every field present in detail part } call getFieldValue for every field present the footer } The previous is just an example, experimentally in fact I found out that it is actually not like that. So my question arised. Thanks!

  • How to place text on top of image in ReportViewer

    I feel very silly asking this, since it seems like it just should work, but I cannot make it work and cannot find anything in the documentation about this. The problem: I'm developing an application in Visual Studio 2010 that is utilizing ReportViewer, rendering the report locally. In the report designer, I place a textbox on top of an image. This looks fine in the designer, but when rendering the report, the textbox is rendered below the image. Now, before you suggest it, I have tried placing a textbox on top of a rectangle (or other control) with the BackgroundImage property set. This works. But: I cannot find a way to rescale the background image to fit the control. Setting a different dpi for the background image does nothing. Simply rescaling the image to a different resolution is not an option, since I eventually want to print the report. Does anybody have a solution to this?

    I've been trying to print a pdf made from iReport in less than a page A4. it's like half A4 page height. I'm using a Line Matrix printer, doesn't matter which one. So, when I try to print 2 files at same file, it should print everything on the right place, but just first file is printed correctly. The second one is based on a A4 page format, and just starts printing after A4 page height is over, skipping a big blank. Where can I set the size of page in iReport? The only thing I could do was setting size of what is shown on screen while I edit the file. I tried my best to explain the situation, any doubts, ask me and I'll try even harder.

    I'm developing report in RS that show top N customers based on some criteria. It also allows to select number of customers and period of time. Is it possible to do it by using report model? Thing that it seems to be difficult is how to pass parameters determined by user. Another thing that in my oppinion is very disappointing is that i cannot use SQL query as dataset query, because it uses odd and elaborate XML. Although report model items seem to map its fields to query or table fields. I m concerning using report models because i need to provide uniform data model (the same tables and fields) for more or less different database schemas. It would be very nice if somebody would explain what can be done with report models and what can not.
