• NHibernate and hbm2dll update attribute

  Hi, i'm using NHibernate with Sdf database. In my hibernate.cfg.xml file i've set: <property name="hbm2ddl.auto" value="update"/> But this does not seem to work at all. "Update" attribute should make NHibernate generate missing tables and columns during application launch, but it does not happen. If i want missing tables geenrated I have to set hbm2dll.auto property to "create" which is not an option for me since it drops existing db content beforehand. I experienced the same problem with PostgreSql problem. Am I missing something?

• Android: Is there a universal way to send the MMS on any android devices?

• SQL Server T-SQL statement to replace/delete sub-strings

  Hi, I have a table with 6 columns containing HTML content with some markups in it and now when moving to a new designed site most of this HTML code has to be deleted. More or less all tags except <B> and </B>. Is there a nice way of doing this, identify all tags end delete them within the data? I'm sure there are no < symbols in the test so a regular expression would maybe work? My alternative is to fetch every row, process it and update the database but I'm guessing this is possible to do in T-SQL directly. My server is an MSSQL 2008 and is located in a hosted environment but I can fetch a local copy if needed. Thanks, Stefan

• jQuery slideable divs with floated images how to make the right size.

  I am relatively new to using jQuery and I have a problem with creating some sliding tabs to work with images that are floated inside. http://www.dur.ac.uk/malachi.soord/jin/ The above page demonstrates the problem I am facing - click on the about tab and you will notice that the image that is inside is floated to the right - which I know is not taken into consideration when jQuery is calculates the height of each div tab with: $("#content > div").each (function() { $(this).css("height", $(this).height()); }); Is there a work around which could be used to allow me to take this into consideration? or is there a better way to achieve what I am trying to achieving.

  Hello, I need to use reflection to get the binding value in a control that is a DataGridTemplateColumn (e.g HyperLinkButton). Does anyone know how I might do this? It seems simple enough to do this with a TextBlock because it has a “TextProperty” dependency property, but I can’t seem to get a binding expression from a control that does not have an immediate “TextProperty”. • Dot Net Nuke app_offline randomly being generated

  We have had multiple DNN sites running for quite a few months now without any issues. Twice in the last 3 days our sites have gone offline by the addition of the app_offline.htm file in the root dir. There is only one developer with access to the sites at a coding / directory viewing level and the file is generated at weird times times when he is NOT accessing our network. We are not publishing anything to the server ( and have not published any .net code in days ), upgrading, changing code, or even modifying content. Has anyone run into this issue?

Here's my test string: <div id="div0" class="myclass">here's some text that may include whitespace</div><div id="div1" class="myclass"> and some more here </div> And here's my regex based on the aforementioned entry: <div[^>]*class="myclass">[^~]*?<\/div> Note that I need to match the first instance of <div /> with class of "myclass." • UIImageView in UITableCell gets a weird size

  Hi, I'm trying to place a UIImageView in a UITableViewCell. I create a special view called ProductView. In that view, I have several components, one of them being a UIImageView. I set this ProductView as content view of the UITableViewCell. Everything is drawn properly except the UIImageView. UIImageView gets scaled meaninglessly. It's height gets twice the height of the table cell size. I've spent hours trying to solve this problem. I've set the frame of UIImageView manually, I've called drawRect method of UIImage in UIImageView, neither of them worked. I'm thinking of replacing UITableView with a UIScrollView if I can't find a solution. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

There are 30 coders working for this project. Everone adds, deletes, and changes procedures, table columns etc. We need a program to store our database scripts like visual studio's team foundation server. See the change history of script file. Everyone must access that program and be able to put their scripts. Recover previous versions of script file. Execute these scripts over a selected database. Compare databases by procedures (not only by name, by content of procedure), functions, table columns, packages etc. I am searching a program like that. Which one do you suggest me?

  I have a master page which is nested 2 levels. It has a master page, and that master page has a master page. When I stick controls in a ContentPlaceHolder with the name "bcr" - I have to find the controls like so: Label lblName =(Label)Master.Master.FindControl("bcr").FindControl("bcr").FindControl("Conditional1").FindControl("ctl03").FindControl("lblName"); Am I totally lost? Or is this how it needs to be done? I am about to work with a MultiView, which is inside of a conditional content control. So if I want to change the view I have to get a reference to that control right? Getting that reference is going to be even nastier! Is there a better way? Thanks

  I am dealing with an old application which uses struts 1.2. And for some reason, we are using pure html form to submit to struts action. For example: for the content output of testAction.do, I try to submit to itself. item 1 item 2 Then I associate an form bean TestForm with testAction. I am not sure how to specify the properties in the form so that it take the value from myitem1 after user click "submit" I tried to add getMyitem1(), setMyitem1(String[] items), getSelectedMyitem1(), setSelectedMyitem1(String[] items) Those set methods are only called when page are loaded. I guess my understanding of ActionForm in struts 1.x must be wrong. Please advise, thanks.

• Hosting Javascript/CSS file on CDN similar to Google hosting jQuery

  Hello, I am wondering if there are any hosts or if I can host my file (JS & CSS) on Google so that they are cached and load real quick (due to CDN and gzip). A number of my customers use these files and I would prefer if they could somehow include this to file to receive the JS file. Ideally with filename.js?publickey=sdfgsdfg (which will be tied to a particular domain name). The problem is that my hosting needs are very small- only about 100kb. Any suggestions. My problem is that the customers using the JS & CSS file, have no clue about gzipping content or caching (as their shared hosts do not support it), as a result causes the JS/CSS to take forever to load. Am wondering if I can leverage an existing free service, or I do not mind paying either. Thank you for your time.

• Flex Debugger wont launch - Only on particular project.

  When trying to launch Flex debaugger on my project, it does not launch and I get an error instead. Every other project in different workspaces launches just fine.   On our production server, we find that the ASP.NET Temporary folders grow uncontrollably. It reaches as much as 14Gb. When we check the folder content, we find couple of assemblies being created again and again in the folder. What could be possible reasons for this duplication? As per our understanding, compiled ASP assemblies goes into temporary folders - so what could be reasons for some of these assemblies getting duplicated in these temporary folders? What possible fixes (other than IIS Reset or changing web.config etc. - causing delete of all these files) can we look forward to implementing?

• mod-rewrite to ignore the subdomain

  I'm using a mod-rewrite for pretty URLs, meant to run on the domain root. Working fine but now I'm trying to make it run on a subdomain and it keeps giving "500 Internal Server Error". The subdomain automatically redirects to the folder with that name on my hosting account (sub.domain.com shows the content of domain.com/sub/). Does it fail because this request is already being mod-rewritten automatically or can I simply change something in the htaccess to address the subdomain instead?
