  • How to bridge git to ClearCase?

    I've recently used git svn and enjoyed it very much. Now I'm starting a new project at a different customer. At that site the SCM of choice is ClearCase. I haven't found a baked equivalent of git svn for ClearCase. Is there anybody who has tried to use git locally as a front-end to ClearCase using some tricks, configuration or scripting with any measure of success? If so can you please explain the method used?

  • Why do we need mocking frameworks like Easymock , JMock or Mockito?

    Hi, We use hand written stubs in our unit tests and I'm exploring the need for a Mock framework like EasyMock or Mockito in our project. I do not find a compelling reason for switching to Mocking frameworks from hand written stubs. Can anyone please answer why one would opt for mocking frameworks when they are already doing unit tests using hand written mocks/stubs. Thanks

  • flex builder 3 compiler won't show errors or compile specific pages

    In flexbuilder 3 for some mxml files I can purposely put in syntax errors and the compiler will seem to compile the specific page(but actually not compile it) or report any errors for that page. Is there any way that you know of to get the compiler to report the errors to me so I can get it to compile the page. I've tried rebuilding all and cleaning the project already.

    General error: 1030 Got error -1 from storage engine the used storage engine is innodb the query was runned when i got it today morning was: SELECT feeds.* FROM feeds ORDER BY RAND() LIMIT 1 i know rand() is bad but it's very small table (<500 records) and not loaded project this error i receive approximately once a day. cannot google anything relevant :-(

    I got visual studio 2005 express edition installed on my machine.But it did not contain any C# or web developer with it. So i later installed visual C# too. Now , I can create a C# project through visual C#. But I cant use visual studio for the same purpose. I guess there would be some mechanism to integrate visual C# with visual studio.   • Images do not load at first time in my swf but the second time they are shown when the bowser refres

    i have written classes in as3... my swf works fine locally but at live link, images do not load or shown first time but when you refresh the browser again they are loaded and shown.. i know they comes in cache but what is happening first time.. you can clear your browser cache and check the problem happens each time when it is not in cache... all images are less than 1 mb.. here is the link http://web.s4spk.com/irfan/loadtest1/project.html

So I've been using Remote Desktop to log onto the server and then trigger an update (we use Tortoise SVN). Is there an existing tool (or SVN feature) that would allow me to trigger this update without logging on to the server and doing it manually?

    Hello, Using rails3 new routing system, is it possible to change the default :id parameter resources :users, :key => :username come out with the following routes /users/new /users/:username /users/:username/edit ...etc I'm asking because although the above example is simple, it would be really helpful to do in a current project I'm working on.     I've made a new class in my Xcode project which is derived from UITableView I then drag a UITableView from in the interface builder onto my view and change the class of the object to my derived class. Then I drag the outlet from the table to the files owner and hook it up to an outlet variable in my main view, which is of the same type as my derived class. How do I also set up the datasource and delegate so that they belong to the derived class?

    I build some dlls to be used in a big application, and have a team working in the dlls heart of the application and another team working in the gui, but i am having a problems in the deployment of the dll's when a change is done, because the gui team needs or copy the new dll to the project folder, or delete the old reference and add the new one. Is there a best practice to deal with this problem? I am using Visual Studio 2008 and devoloping int VB and C# Thanks !!!

    Hi, Due to the lack of Deployment functionality of Visual Studio Express edition, I'm here asking if anyone can recommend a very nice free Deployment template for the express edition. I'm mainly working with C# desktop project. I know that there is still ClickOnce deployment in the Express edition, but it seems to me that it is not so difficult to control, which means, you do "click once", then the tool will give you a bunch of files out of my control, not so easy to maintain.
