    I have a UIScrollView which contains many UIImageView's UILabel's etc... the labels are well longer that the UIScrollView, but when I run the app, I cannot click and scroll down... Why might this be? Thanks

    Hello. I'm using Core Data and I'm trying to figure out the simplest way to store an array of integers in one of my Core Data entities. Currently, my entities contain various arrays of objects that are more complex than a single number, so it makes sense to represent those arrays as tables in my DB and attach them using relationships. If I want to store a simple array of integers, do I need to create a new table with a single column and attach it using a one-to-many relationship? Or is there a more simple way?     Hello. I'm building a multiplayer game on the iPhone and I need to send string data to the other players in the game. To do that, I need to encapsulate my NSString* string data in an NSData object somehow. Here's an example of how my code is structured... typedef struct { PACKETTYPE packetType; ??? stringToSend; //<---not sure how to store this } StringPacket; StringPacket msg; msg.packetType = STRING_PACKET; msg.stringToSend = ... // <---not sure what to do here NSData *packet = [NSData dataWithBytes:&msg length:sizeof(StringPacket)]; So my question is, if StringPacket is a struct defined in my header, what type should the stringToSend property be so that I can easily call the dataWithBytes method of NSData to encapsulate the packet data in an NSData object?     Hello all, First of all, I'd like to thank the good people who helped me around on this site. Thanks. I'm trying to detect a failed authentication attempt in my app... I'm using the didReceiveAuthenticationChallenge method, and the checking if [challenge previousFailureCount] is equal to 0. The problem is that it's always stays on zero, even if the username and password that I send with the credentials are incorrect. I couldn't find any info about this kind of issue, any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

    is it possible to have a common view for both master and detail view controllers. What if I need to add a header image(at top, the very first view) common for both the master and detail view controllers. When the device is in the portrait mode the width of the header image view has to shrink to fit to the detail view controller's view and when the orientation changes to landscape the width of the same header image view has to be expanded that is the width of it has to be 1024. Please tell me whether doing this is possible. or any workaround for this?

    Hello All, I have scoured the internet looking for a good tutorial or posting about having a UITableView populated with a UITextField in each cell for data entry. I want to keep track of each UITextField and the text written within it while scrolling. The tableView will be sectioned. I have been using a custom UITableViewCell but I'm open to any method. Also, is it possible to use the textFields as ivars? If any of you could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

  • How to fast rendering UITableView

    In my program has two view controller. first one has one button.and second one has tableview with custom cell. in this cell has 5 textviews. when i click button of first tableview.it shows second view controller. Its is very slow rendering table view with 5 , 6 rows.it is working well with simulator.but it is very slow with actual i pad. when i click the button i have to wait 2,3 second with button pressed status.and after it view the second view controller it also very slow rendering.i can see it render rows. [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; this one also i used.when i comment this table from my second view.it navigate first view controller to second view controller very fast. how can i solve this issue?

  • Moving a UIIMageView outside of a UIScrollView

    Hello, At the bottom part of my main UIView, I've an UIScrollView with an UIImageView inside. I'd like to move the UIIMageView from the UIScrollView to the top part of my UIView. I'm able to move my UIImageView inside the UIScrollView, but outside, I can't. The UIImageView remains in the UIScrollView, it's parent. Any idea? Thanks in advance for any help. Best regards, Alx

    Hey guys, I'm trying to add a textfield.text entry to an array. I want to pull the textfield.text from a text field in another view. What am I doing wrong?

  • Xcode save image to camera roll

    I am new to Xcode (using 4.3) and am not sure how to save an image to the device's camera roll. All that I have done so far is an IBAction for the button to save the image (the button resides in the top right of the navigation bar. This tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSdwjQUXA2Y) is EXACTLY what I would like to be able to do but the code is too blurry to read properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I reset my UI when the user presses a button?

    I have 1 scrollview that contain 18 buttons. 1) when a user taps on any button, a button is added to a second UIScrollView. 2) Then, when a user taps on that button on second scrollview the button is removed from second scrollview. both uiscrollviews contain a list of their buttons. Afree both of these steps, I have to reload my scrollview. Can I do the same task by adding observer, so that it will automatically reload when any action done on button, and if yes then how?

    After the launch of iOS 5, OS X Lion and iCloud Steve Jobs proposed Apple’s plans for construction of a new campus in Cupertino. In a presentation to Cupertino City Council, Steve proposed to construct a spaceship style beautiful building that can house 12000 employees. Apple recently purchased 150 acres of land from HP and others in Cupertino and this land will be used for their new campus. The architectural design of the new campus looks awesome just like their products: iPad / iPhone.It’s a four storied circular building with all curved glasses that can accommodate 12000 employees.,  “We do have a shot at building the best office building in the world,” Jobs told the Council members, “Architecture students will come here to see this.”. The facility is going to be eco-friendly with 80% of landscaping with most of the parking going to underground. The current campus has 3700 trees and Apple is planning to increase them to 6000 trees. The campus will be powered with its own renewable energy source and electric grid as backup. Steve described It’s a pretty amazing building. It’s a little like a spaceship landed. It’s got this gorgeous courtyard in the middle… It’s a circle. It’s curved all the way around.     Here is a bit of disappointing news for Apple fan boys. Steve Jobs is again going on medical leave as he wants to concentrate on his health for sometime. In an email to the employees of Apple Steve said, At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health..I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011   In the mail, Steve also said that plans for the product releases scheduled in 2011 will not be affected. This means as rumoured iPad 2 In April, iPhone 5 In June With New Hardware. There is not much information on the medical complications Steve is facing now, but many are thinking  its linked to the liver transplant he had in 2009. What ever may be reason, we wish for this speedy recovery.   • Killer content for my Kindle - The Economist with no need for an iPad - yipeee!

    I admin it, I was jealous of someone's iPad. They were reading The Economist, for free, as they were a print subscriber. I'm a print subscriber too. However, I don't have an iPad or an iPhone, just an Android phone and a Kindle. As soon as I got the Kindle, I looked up how to get The Economist on it. £9.99 per month. Hmmm, twice as much again as a my print subscription and I wanted to maintain the print subscription. No way Amazon. Fortunately some nice person wrote similar comments on The Economist subscription for Kindle, but added a very important additional nugget of information; and there is no need, as a print subscriber you can just use the free Calibre e-book creation tool anyway. So I downloaded it, searched for The Economist online 'recipe', entered my login name and password (part of my print subscription) and off went Calibre to screen scrape every single article from the Christmas 2010 issue into a .mobi file, complete with front cover image and full indexing. It's wonderful. Truely wonderful. Every section individually indexed, with each article separated and all inline images preserved. It even feels wonderfully retro, back to the days when The Economist only used black and white images. So many thanks the guys behind Calibre and The Economist recipe creators. Finally, I have my essential Kindle content that I've been waiting for.

    Everyone loves their new iPad! The rich features, portability, plethora of apps and ease of use make this the new clipboard on the factory floor or electronic notebook for meetings. But how many business people walk into an hours meeting and really start typing notes on their PC?..yes some do, but for the general business public there are new technologies coming down the road. The iPad is the latest holla-hoop; and the next gen device I feel is the Augmented Reality Glasses. Your glasses will be your screen, have an earpiece, be wireless enabled, your smart watch be your electronics and maybe your belt can be an extended battery pack.  I'm anxious to test one of these.   • How can I clear the appcache on the Google Chrome iPad app?

    I've written a little HTML5 based web app that I am trying to debug on the iPad using the Chrome for iPad app. I have added a cache.manifest file to my app which has some heavy caching in it of most static resources however since I am now wanting to debug the app I need a way to clear this cache. I know that on Chrome for Mac you can use: chrome://appcache-internals/ however this page does not exist in the iPad app of Chrome. The regular "Clear Browsing Data" does not empty the appcache —at least not in my case. Does anyone know how I can clear the appcache for the Chrome iPad app?

User clicks on the field and called datepicker and perfectly. When the datepicker is appearing and click directly on the close button of the form. The form closes and the datepicker was open.   • Google Analytics: How can I traffic and referrals from iPad applications?

    In Google Analytics, there is extensive information on the mobile device, version and browser version. However, this doesn't seem to go beyond the mobile browser. I would like to determine which application is responsible for visits to my site. Specifically, I want to know how many visits are coming from zite. http://www.handsetdetection.com/properties/vendormodel/Apple/iPad/page:4 seems to indicate this information is probably available, where/does Google Analytics expose this?
