• Where is my python script spending time? Is there "missing time" in my cprofile / pstats trace?

  I am attempting to profile a long running python script. The script does some spatial analysis on raster GIS data set using the gdal module. The script currently uses three files, the main script which loops over the raster pixels called find_pixel_pairs.py, a simple cache in lrucache.py and some misc classes in utils.py. • How to generate a compiler error based on an attribute being missing in C#?

  I create a number of add-ins for the Revit Structure API. Each tool has to habe a class which implements the interface IExternalCommand. In the latest version of Revit, for your tool to work you need to have two attributes on the class that implements that interface: [Regeneration(RegenerationOption.Manual)] [Transaction(TransactionMode.Automatic)] The values in brackets can change, but there must be something there. Often I am finding myself forgetting to put the attributes on, then when it comes to runtime it crashes. Is there any way in Visual Studio 2010 to add a compiler warning or error saying that if your class implements that interface it must have those 2 attributes? I have resharper if that helps. Can anyone point me into the right direction?

  please refer to my quick diagram attached below. what i'm trying to do is get the coordinates of the yellow dots by using the angle from the red dots' known coordinates. assuming each yellow dot is about 20 pixels away from the x:50/y:250 red dot at a right angle (i think that's what it's called) how do i get their coordinates? i believe this is very basic trigonometry and i should use Math.tan(), but they didn't teach us much math in art school.

  I am trying to increment and decrement the middle textview via buttons on the sides. • Setting dijit.Tree cookie for all pages

  I'm using the same dijit.Tree view over several pages in our application, and I'd like to have the cookie saved for the server name, instead of the folder name. Right now I've got 3 pages and 3 cookies, which each hold their own information on the state of the Tree, which is kinda annoying. Any ways to accomplish this? The only thing I've found on cookies in the API, is that I can set the cookieName and turn cookies on/off.

• Gacutil.exe successfully adds assembly, but assembly missing from GAC. Why?

  I'm running GacUtil.exe from within Visual Studio Command Prompt 2010 to register a dll (CatalogPromotion.dll) to the GAC. After running the utility, it says Assembly Successfully added to the cache, and running gacutil /l CatalogPromotionDll shows that the GAC contains the assembly, but I can't see the assembly when I navigate to C:\WINDOWS\assembly from Windows Explorer. Why can't I see the assembly in WINDOWS\assembly from Windows Explorer but I can see it using gacutil.exe? • Missing 'DomContentLoaded' and 'load' time information in Firebug's Net Panel.

  Hello, Firebug is awesome in reporting the relative time when an HTTP request was made with respect to the 'DomContentLoaded' and 'load' time. However, once the 'load' event occurs (seen by the red line on the timeline), the requests thereafter do not have any information about how later they occurred with respect to the two events. To confuse things, these requests (usually at the bottom of the timeline) appear to have started right at the beginning of the page load. Could somebody shed some light on what should i infer when i see such entries in the timeline which do not have information about the 'DomContentLoaded' and 'load' event times and appear to have occurred after the page load event, still net panel shows that they started at the beginning?   Hello, I am creating some cookies in my ASP.NET application. These cookies expire 10 minutes after they have been created.   I installed Cocoa Browser Air at home from the same installation file (for 2.4.1) that works fine at work. Its info for Mac OS X 10.6 looks OK, but there's nothing under either iPhone 3.1 or 3.2. I've installed the appropriate Documentation Sets in Xcode Preferences-Documentation, and I have an iPhone SDK, which is required to refer to iPhone DocSets. I'm using the Xcode version 3.2.2. • Dynamic domain methods missing from grails service when injected into java service in grails app.

  I had the idea that I would write my GroovyDao as a grails service. Next I would write a MyJavaService in java and locate it in the java sources dir in my grails app. MyJavaService contains a instance reference to groovyDao for spring injection. I would wire up in resources.groovy the MyJavaService with a groovyDao = ref("GroovyDao"). Everything starts up fine. However if I make call to MyJavaService any Domain method like Domain.list() returns a Method not found error. Any help is appreciated.

• Missing on-screen keyboard for Flash/Flex web application on Android?

  I have an enterprise Flex web application, served up over https, that runs fine on Flash player 10.0 and beyond from a desktop computer/browser. However, when I run it from my HTC Incredible with Android 2.2 the app loads fine, but there is no on-screen keyboard and so I cannot log in. I can see the blinking cursor inside the username and password text fields. I can switch between them. I can even hit the login button and see an authentication error! According to Adobe this should Just Work. Any ideas? I wanna show off our spanking new app to strangers at the bus stop!

As you see, I got two similar duplicate functions to handle events. Users go to the page, the widget read the cookies variable to display contact info (locale2contact)and preselect the drop-down menu (function build_dropdown) If users select the drop down menu, the displya contact info change (function changeContactInfo), and then I need to rebuild the drop down menu with user previously selection (function build_dropdown2). I am looking for best practices for adding this functionality to RightNow widget. Thank you. I really do not like the way i am doing now. It works; but the code looks bad.

• Landscape-only orientation + view controllers: What am I still missing?

  Hi. I can't believe I am still having problems with screen orientation, now on the iPad. This is an app that only supports one of the two landscape orientation. In my info.plist, I include: <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight</string> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft</string> In Interface Builder, all my views are created in landscape orientation. Only the main Window is not, but I don't see a way to change that. When launched, I get the following coordinates for my main window and the main viewcontroller view: Window frame {{0, 0}, {768, 1024}} mainView frame {{0, 0}, {748, 1024}} (Changing the frame at runtime to be what I expect, does not change the odd behavior.) All other views after that show these coordinates when summoned (when loaded but before being presented): frame of keysig {{0, 0}, {1024, 768}} frame of instrumentSelect {{20, 0}, {1024, 768}} frame of settings {{0, 0}, {467, 300}} In all my viewControllers, i respond to shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation with: return ((interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft) || (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight)); In my app, everything (almost) functions as expected. The app launches into one of the two landscape modes. The views (and viewcontrollers) display everything where it belongs, taps work all across the screen, as expected. However, there are two clues that something is still wrong. Clue #1: I have two viewcontrollers that are UITabeViewControllers. When summoned, they are supposed to open up their views and scroll to the selected row of the table. However it is evident that they scroll, but they don't scroll down far enough. It seems that they think that the screen extends further down and they scroll just enough to move the row to a place near the bottom of the screen, but that location is not visible. When the views are loaded, the coordinates are: frame of keysig {{0, 0}, {1024, 768}} frame of instrumentSelect {{20, 0}, {1024, 768}} When I present them using a popover, the frames get resized to: frame of keysig {{0, 0}, {320, 655}} frame of instrumentSelect {{0, 0}, {320, 655}} The frame of the viewController that does the presentation, same mainView frame mentioned above is: frame of self {{20, 0}, {748, 1024}} I have also tried to accomplish the same thing with presentModalViewController instead of presentPopover, and have the same results. This is what the popovers look like: In both cases, the selected row is below the horizon, even though the tableView did visibly scroll in order to make the row visible. I am not sure what to try next. I checked each UITable's scrollView content coordinates and they seemed reasonable. It almost seems like a UITable internal rect gets created with the wrong number and stays that way. Clue #2: All my actionsheets come up with a width of 320. I can only assume that the iPad allows actionSheets in only 320 or 480 widths and since it somehow thinks that the screen is oriented in portrait mode, and then uses the narrower width. There you have it. I can't believe I am still getting hung up on orientation issues. I swear Apple doesn't make it easy to have a landscape app. Any ideas?

  Hi All, I am using silverlight unit tests to test an important part of our site. Is it possible to clear cookies before each unit test runs? The problem is that if I do this, HtmlPage.Document.Cookies = ""; It doesn't work. If the cookie already was this, key = value I can do this, HtmlPage.Document.Cookies = "key="; It kind of clears it out, but the string "key" is still part of the cookie. Any ideas? Are there any other classes in .NET that deal with cookies? The functionality seems quite limited when I am dealing with more complicated scenarios.

• Is there a work-around that allows missing data to equal NULL for LOAD DATA INFILE in MySQL?

  I have a lot of large csv files with NULL values stored as ,, (i.e., no entry). After a lot of searching I found that this is a known "bug", although it may be a feature for some users. Is there a way that I can fix this on the fly without pre-processing? These data are all numeric, so a zero value is very different from NULL. Or if I have to do pre-processing, is there one that is most promising for dealing with tens of csv files of 100mb to 1gb? Thanks!

  I am using php curl to login to wordpress behind-the-scenes as described here: Wordpress autologin using CURL or fsockopen in PHP However my script is not setting the cookies necessary to retain the wordpress session. Instead they are being sent back to my script and stored in cookies.txt. Both the curl script and the wordpress login are on the same server in different directories. Do I need to write another curl script to manually set the wordpress cookies? Is that possible?
