    How do I print the ms access data(.mdb) in vb.net? Here is the code that I'm using to view the data in the form. What I want to do is to be able to print what is currently being viewed.     I am trying to set up error handling for a MS-Access application. The standard method to do this seems to be with an On Error statement in each subroutine/function. It seems simpler to me to use the Form_Error function to catch all the runtime errors in that form as opposed to an On Error statement for each sub/function called by an event on that form. (Obviously, for code in modules, there is no Form_Error function and therefore the only method is the On Error statement) What are the pros and cons of using On Error vs Form_Error?

  • Export and Import MS Access table defenitions as text files

    How can I export/import MS Access table definitions as text files (in a human readable format like I can with Forms or Reports)? I know how I can export the whole table out into CSV file; however: I don't need the data to go (actually really rather that it didn't) When I import a CSV file (especially without data) there's no guarantee that the data types will be the same as my original database. I'm hoping to store my table definitions in a SVN repository. I don't want to have to house any import specifications in the destination database.

I'm trying to create a query that returns records between a specific date range (all records from March 2010) however I encounter a 'data type mismatch in critera expression' message.     I need to transform data from one schema into another in an MS Access database. This involves writing queries to select data from the old schema and then inserting the results of the queries into tables in the new schema. The below is an example of what I am trying to do. The SELECT component of the below works fine, but the INSERT component does not work. Can someone show me how to fix the below so that it effectively inserts the results of the SELECT statement into the destination table?   • Give Access to a Subdirectory Without Giving Access to Parent Directories

    I have a scenario involving a Windows file server where the "owner" wants to dole out permissions to a group of users of the following sort: \\server\dir1\dir2\dir3: Read & Execute and Write \\server\dir1\dir2: No permissions. \\server\dir1: No permissions. \\server: Read & Execute To my understanding, it is not possible to do this because Read & Execute permission must be granted to all the parent directories in a directory chain in order for the operating system to be able to "see" the child directories and get to them. Without this permission, you can't even obtain the security context token when trying to access the nested directory, even if you have full access to the subdirectory. We are looking for ways to get around this, without moving the data from \\server\dir1\dir2\dir3 to \\server\dir4. One workaround I thought of, but which I am not sure if it will work, is creating some sort of link or junction \\server\dir4 which is a reference to \\server\dir1\dir2\dir3. I am not sure which of the available options (if any) would work for this purpose if the user does not have Read & Execute permission on \\server\dir1\dir2 or \\server\dir1, but as far as I know, the options are these: NTFS Symbolic Link, Junction, Hard Link. So the questions: Are any of these methods suitable to accomplish my goal? Are there any other methods of linking or indirectly referencing a directory, which I haven't listed above, which might be suitable? Are there any direct solutions that don't involve granting Read & Execute to \\server\dir1 or \\server\dir2 but still allowing access to \\server\dir1\dir2\dir3?

In order to do that, they need an ODBC connection to the SQL server installed on their machines. I am looking for a way to do this remotely. Issue: AD-Team changes the user email-id. changes are getting updated in SSP. changes are not getting populated from SSP to Mysite/Site-collections. any thoughts?

    Does anyone have any good answer what kind of difference there is between using some arbitrary pre-formatted Excel 2007 *.xlsx file as a template, loading it in my C# app, and filling up some of its cells with data using the Microsoft OpenXML SDK versus creating specific Excel templates (*.xltx) files and using those as basis for my "data filling" exercise Do I loose something when I don't use the Excel templates (*.xltx)? Now I have own sourcefiles and source of own components. What about source files for Ravereport, Devexpress, Indy, Gnostice etc ? I want as fast codeinsight as possible, but of course I do not want to add bloat to the DPR-file. I use Delphi 2007 Regards

    I have the following VBA code inside an Excel macro: With ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Add( _ Connection:=ConnStr, _ Destination:=ActiveSheet.Range("A1"), _ Sql:=SqlStr) .Refresh End With And yet I am getting the error: "Run-time error '1004': Application-defined or object-defined error." The debugger points to this code as the source of error. Assuming that my ConnStr and SqlStr are correct, why am I getting this error? I am using Excel 2007 and I am querying an Oracle database.
