  • JSon/Jquery request with a setTimeout always returns a "null" result? (for Twitter Search API)

    I make a call to the twitter API. 100 posts are retreived + a properties that tells me what the next page to call is. So I wait 5 sec. and call that next page, but the JSon results in the callback function is always null the second time... I think it's probably a JQuery problem...     I added some new functionality in C and when I try to build it, it gives me the following error: libnativehelper/include/nativehelper/JNIHelp.h:116: error: undefined reference to 'jniRegisterNativeMethods' error. I have included jnihelp.h in my C files. Is this a makefile related issue or am I missing something?   • C++ DLL-Linking UnResolved Externals

    I have a rather big Core project that I'm working with, I'm attempting to adapt it to use a DLL Engine I've built, I'm getting a bunch of errors like: unresolved external symbol "private: static class When including some of the headers from the Core in the DLL, the class is exported via __declspec(dllexport) but any header with static members throws out a crapload of errors regarding the static members. This is a rather big project, I can't exactly run around removing every static class member I see, is there anyway around this kind of thing?

  • Why does Javascript's OR return a value other than true/false?

    I saw this construction in order to get the browser viewport width: function () { return window.innerWidth || document.documentElement.clientWidth || document.body.clientWidth; } I understand the browser quirks involved. What I don't understand is why || returns the value. So I tried this alert(undefined || 0 || 3); and sure enough, it alerts 3. I find this bizarre, because I expect true or false. Could anyone explain what's going on?

  • Greasemonkey is getting an empty document.body on select Google pages.

    Hi, I have a Greasemonkey script that processes Google search results. But it's failing in a few instances, when xpath searches (and document body) appear to be empty. Running the code in Firebug's console works every time. It only fails in a Greasemonkey script. Greasemonkey sees an empty document.body. I've boiled the problem down to a test, greasemonkey script, below. I'm using Firefox 3.5.9 and Greasemonkey 0.8.20100408.6 (but earlier versions had the same problem). Problem: Greasemonkey sees an empty document.body. Recipe to Duplicate: Install the Greasemonkey script. Open a new tab or window. Navigate to Google.com (http://www.google.com/). Search on a simple term like "cats". Check Firefox's Error console (Ctrl-shift-J) or Firebug's console. The script will report that document body is empty. Hit refresh. The script will show a good result (document body found). Note that the failure only reliably appears on Google results obtained this way, and on a new tab/window. Turn javascript off globally (javascript.enabled set to false in about:config). Repeat steps 2 thru 5. Only now the Greasemonkey script will work. It seems that Google javascript is killing the DOM tree for greasemonkey, somehow. I've tried a time-delayed retest and even a programmatic refresh; the script still fails to see the document body.     After following the instructions in INSTALL.W64 I have two problems: The code is still written to the "out32" folder. I need to be able to link to both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the library on my workstation, so I don't want the 64-bit versions to clobber the 32-bit libs. The output is still 32-bit! This means that I get "unresolved external symbol" errors when trying to link to the libraries from an x64 app.
