• iOS Application Background Downloading

  Hey! I need to know how I can have my iOS Application start a download in the background of the application (like, have the download run in the AppDelegate file) so changing ViewControllers will not interrupt or cancel the download. I also need to be able to get the progress of the download (0.00000 - 1.00000), to set a UIProgressView object to, which also means I need a - (void)progressDidChangeTo:(int)progress function.

I've come up with a few methods but am wondering if there is a general standard approach people use. • Python: Converting legacy string dates to dates

  We have some legacy string dates that I need to convert to actual dates that can be used to perform some date logic. Converting to a date object isn't a problem if I knew what the format were! That is, some people wrote 'dd month yy', othes 'mon d, yyyy', etc. So, I was wondering if anybody knew of a py module that attempts to guess date formats and rewrites them in a uniform way? It sends its Graphics object to LC which use it to draw shapes but whenever it draws something the PaintComponent event of StateChartPanel happens again and it causes my application to hang.

And not necessarily for ProgressEvents, but when going through steps. That is, the listener functions are called and I get trace output like: updateDatabase called. Setting step:Updating project Setting Perc 25 Setting Perc 50 Setting Perc 75 Setting Perc 100 The issue is, only the very last percent and step is shown. that is, when it's all done, the progress bar jumps to 100% and shows the last step label. • Hashtable/Dictionary but with key composed of multiple values?

  Lets say I have an object that has stringProp1, stringProp2. I wish to store each combination of stringProp1, stringProp2 in a Dictionary. Initially I was storing the key as key = stringProp1+stringProp2 but this can actually cause a bug depending on the 2 values. Is the best solution for this problem to create a custom dictionary class or is there a better way using built-in .NET classes?

  I would like to obtain the list of controls under a given point. There is a method on System.Windows.Form to obtain a control under a point(GetChildAtPoint) but not point(GetChildsAtPoint). Is there something similar for the list of controls (if borders intersect one other): I need this because I select the objects when user clicks on the panel(I use Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.RectangleShape as label bellow).
