  Hello Techies, In my windows application in .net, i need to have Print Preview option for an excel file. • How to create an Entity Framework model from an existing SQLite database in Visual Studio 2008?

  I've installed the System.Data.SQLite ADO.NET Provider from http://sqlite.phxsoftware.com/. I can connect to the database from within Visual Studio, I can open table schemas, views etc. I'd like to use an existing SQLite database to create an Entity Framework model in Visual Studio 2008. When I try to create a new ADO.NET Entity Data Model (.edmx) file using the wizard, the existing SQLite connection is not in the list though. Also, it's not possible to create a SQLite connection because there is no provider for SQLite. It only lists SQL Server, SQL Server file and SQL Server Compact 3.5. Any idea how to solve this problem?

• Upload images problem: IO error. (Error #2038)

  I'm using script which is uploading files to server via flash component. Sometimes, very rarely, when trying to upload images via Firefox I get following error: IO error #2038. Searching on the net I could find reason why is it really happening to me. But I found solution for my case: I open IE6, do the same thing there (photos are always uploaded without problem) and the when I try again in Firefox problem disappears. If someone had similar problems maybe this could help or maybe this hint could help to someone discovering cause of the problem :)

• Windows Explorer argument not being interpreted?

  I'm currently using: Process.Start("explorer.exe", "/Select, " + fullPath); //with file name.extension That basically tells windows explorer to open the folder where the file is in, with the given file selected. But, by the forces of evil, sometimes it works and sometimes it just opens the file ("/select" is... ignored) Has anyone ever experienced this? If it changes anything, it's a file in a local network and the path looks like this \\server\folder\subfolder\something\file.ext (of course in c# every '\' is doubled, and @ is not a choice, the path is generated by something else) I'll be constantly reading comments to supply any aditional information

(rsProcessingAborted) Cannot read the next data row for the data set DS_GRID_DATA. (rsErrorReadingNextDataRow) Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '1,2,3,4' to data type int. Basically I have defined Parameters!RP_cll_typ_l1 as multivalued into my subreport as per ssrs multivalued parameter passing method. The value is going on sub report as '1,2,3,4' (not understandable by data set) It should be like as '1’,’2’,’3’,’4' or 1,2,3,4 How can I resolve this please help if any have solution? • Using chilkat to extract RAR files with progress bar?

  Hello. Does anyone know how to show the progress of archives extracting, when using chilkat? I already have a progress bar called "progressBar1" on my form. At the moment the whole program freezes when extraction is started. Maybe have another thread?   I recently installed Python 2.7, Robot Framework and the Selenium Library (I still don't know if I succeded though...) on a Red Hat Server to run some test on a web application. So I tried a simple test case using the robot framework to see if Selenium Library is functional, just to Open a web page, nothing more... Selenium Server is up and running according to the result of ps, and firefox binaries are in the PATH... Running the test case from the Robot Framework (with the pybot testcasename.tsv) I get an exception: ERROR: Problem capturing a screenshot to string: java.awt.AWTException: headless environment So, what is the Headless Environment? Does anyone have an idea if there is something else that needs to be istalled or to be configured as well?

  On the page http://qxlapps.dk/test.htm I am trying to perform an Ajax load from another domain, qxlapp.dk. I am using James Padolsey's xdomainajax.js plugin from: http://james.padolsey.com/javascript/cross-domain-requests-with-jquery/ When I open my test page, I get no output, but FireBug shows the JSON result, including the error message: "forbidden":"robots.txt for the domain disallows crawling for url: http://qxlapp.dk/projects/dagens_kup/show.php". The robots.txt on the qxlapp.dk domain contains the following: User-agent: Yahoo Pipes 2.0 Allow: / User-agent: * Allow: / So I don't see what the problem is? Shouldn't it pull the page just fine with those settings?

I double click it and VS will open it with kind of design diagram. I can create/delete/modify table here? I can use add new item to add the Linq to SQL Classes to get a dbml file? what's next? generate tables in database? generate sql script? generate cs files? when? how?

  Hello there. I am going to develop a Tic-Tac-Toe game using Java(or maybe other OO Languages).Now I have a picture in my mind about the general design. Interface: Player ,then I will be able to implement a couple of Player classes,based on how I want the opponent to be,for example,random player,intelligent player. Classes: Board class,with a two-dimensional array of integers,0 indicates open,1 indicates me,-1 indicates opponent.The evaluation function will be in here as well,to return the next best move based on the current board arrangement and whose turn it is. Refree class,which will create instance of the Board and two player instances,then get the game begin. This is a rough idea of my OO design,could anybody give me any critiques please,I find this is really beneficial,thank you very much.

  Several users have reported that if they launch Excel by double-clicking an Excel file, the add-in will not load. But, if they open Excel via the Start menu (or Quick launch toolbar) the add-in loads fine. Some details, in case they help: It is a COM add-in, written in VB6. The problem has been reported on Windows XP/Excel 2003 and Vista/Excel 2007 systems. The add-in implements IDTExtensibility2. The start mode is set to "Load on Startup". Any thoughts on the cause or how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated.

• Problem with importing an mdf created with SQL Server Express 2008 into SQL Server 2005

  The question is probably extremely easy to resolve, but I need to resolve it because I need to carry on with my project. I am using SQL Server Express 2008 at home, and I've been working on an ASP.NET MVC app that stores my DB in an mdf file in the project's folder. The problem is that the SQL Server in the Uni labs is SQL Server 2005, and when I try to open the mdf file with the VS Server Explorer,It says that the version of the mdf file is more than the server can accept. The only option that comes to my mind is exporting the DB as an sql file, just like I've done it thousand times with phpmyadmin. the thing is that the SQL Management Studio Express is not the most usable tool in the world, and for some strange reason all the articles I could find in Google were irrelevant. Please, help.

  This .NET API works OK if I'm trying to open the Registry in a machine that's in the same domain as I am (and my logged-on user has admin rights on the target machine). It gets tricky if it's an out-of-domain machine with a different, local administrative user (of whom I do have the password). I tried to use WNetUseConnection() (which has served me well in the past in situations where what I wanted was to read a remote disk file) prior to calling OpenRemoteBaseKey(), but no dice -- I get an access denied exception. Clearly, I must pass credentials some other way, but how?

  Hi, I am trying to open a dialog on widget click. I have solved the problem skinning the activity started on click with android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog". Unfortunately I cannot reach the same look of a dialog. This is the outcome: http://i50.tinypic.com/n15lcy.png while I would like to reach this result (except for the button, of course): h ttp://i48.tinypic.com/2ithqpc.png (the widget dialog you can see keeping the screen pushed) As you can see there are some differences: the color of the list items, the color of the text and the list item separator. Is there a predefined theme/style to obtain the same look of a standard dialog? If not, what are the steps to follow to reach that result?   In my team I have some developers that always have two or three IM windows open. The majority of these windows are not related with the project where they are nor with asking or offering programming help. I also use IM and, off course, some of my "talks" are not related with the job. But I feel that when I am using IM my productivity drops. I mean, there is more "mental" work to change the scope between the task I am doing and the conversation every time a new message arrive. Do you face the same situation? Is there some good practices to avoid this (excluding, off course, stopping using IM)?

• Could the HTML 5 Video tag pick up an IP Multicast Stream?

  I've been researching methods of getting an IP Multicast over UDP to the browser, and have found little that suggests I would be able to do it without using a plug-in like Java, Flash, or Silverlight in order to open a UDP port and (somehow) render the video. Checking out the HTML 5 <video> spec, there is (obviously) little in the way of specific implementation details, so as far as I can tell, there is nothing stopping a browser from parsing a address of the form "udp://224.1.1.1:8000" and joining a multicast group on that IP/port. Is this a correct understanding? Or must the resource pointed to by the <source> be a file?

  I have a PHP class that helps me generate URLs for custom charts using Google Chart service. These URLs work fine when I load them in my browser, but I'm trying to pull them using CURL so I can access the charts on secure https websites. Whenever I try and pull a chart via CURL, I get an Error 400 Bad Request. Any idea on how to get around this?   Does anyone have any experience with the RadWindow wpf control from Telerik? My problem is that when I open a RadWindow and minimize my application then when I maximize the application the RadWindow is not visible. I can use alt+tab to get the RadWindow in front again, but I would really like to avoid having to do this. I'm doing the following to display the RadWindow: this.theWindow.ShowDialog(); Where theWindow is an instance of a class that inherits from RadWindow. Any ideas?

I already know out how to detect window motion and how to create a borderless translucent window on a given position and with a given size. So here are some problems I am facing: WeifenLuo supports multiple left/right/top/bottom panes, allowing them to be resized and contain more than one panel. It also supports splittable tabs.
