  • jQuery Draggable and overflow issue

    I am having an undesired effect when I drag a div from a container div which is set as overflow: scroll. I have found an example of someone else where they have had the issue but I have been unable to find a resolution Example on Paste bin What happens is that the scroll is just increased, I can see why this would be the desired behaviour if you wanted to drag to a destination within the scrollable div but I want to be able to take it outside of its scrolling grasp.     I have a table like so: mysql> show create table foo; CREATE TABLE foo ( network bigint NOT NULL, activeDate datetime NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', ... ) In the domain object, FooVO the activeDate member is annotated as Temporal. If I don't set activeDate to a valid Date instance, a new record is inserted with NULLs. I want the default value to take effect if I don't set the activeDate member. Thanks.

  • Unselecting RadioButtons in Java Swing

    When displaying a group of JRadioButtons, initially none of them is selected (unless you programmatically enforce that). I would like to be able to put buttons back into that state even after the user already selected one, i.e., none of the buttons should be selected. However, using the usual suspects doesn't deliver the required effect: calling 'setSelected(false)' on each button doesn't work. Interestingly, it does work when the buttons are not put into a ButtonGroup - unfortunately, the latter is required for JRadioButtons to be mutually exclusive. Also, using the setSelected(ButtonModel, boolean) - method of javax.swing.ButtonGroup doesn't do what I want. I've put together a small program to demonstrate the effect: two radio buttons and a JButton. Clicking the JButton should unselect the radio buttons so that the window looks exactly as it does when it first pops up. import java.awt.Container; import java.awt.GridLayout; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; /** * This class creates two radio buttons and a JButton.   • How could I get an .ear's filesize at runtime?

    I started out attempting to do this with the Length ant task, but realized that that would be done before the ear is packaged. Packaging the ear, then checking the file size, and then placing it in the ear would effect the size of the ear. Is there a way to get the ear's size programmatically at run-time? Or perhaps an MBean that would have that information?

You can call it with any common compiler (for example, :compiler gcc, :compiler php, etc.), but it doesn't seem to have any immediate effect. I searched on the manpages but didn't find anything useful about what it actually does, nor does the Vim Wiki. Does anyone know what that command actually does?

Now I want to add subtasks to the functionality: I want to enable users to drag one task over to another task and drop it there to turn it into a subtask. Applying .draggable() and .droppable() to items that are already sortable has no effect. What could I do?

    By using left hand rule, I rotate one object left and right using x axis, and rotate up/down using y axis. After first object is rotated to the right, the up/down rotation should be using z axis. However, when I try to rotate using z axis, after the first rotation, it has the same effect when I rotate using y axis. Anyone has any ideas? Thanks

    I just build a website that works good on any browser even ipad but in Oper ai noticed a weird thing: the website is built with a div layer on top zindez:999, body is overflow:hidden, and you cant scroll, but underneath the div there is a long text that goes way underneath the viewport... the strage thing is that even if any browser i wasable to keep this effect in Oepra if I use the mousewheel you can kepp scrolling...! ...argh.. do you any hack/solution for this?

  • JavaScript + Maths: Image zoom with CSS3 Transforms, How to set Origin? (with example)

    My Math skills really suck! I'm trying to implement an image zoom effect, a bit like how the Zoom works with Google Maps, but with a grid of fix position images. I've uploaded an example of what I have so far here: http://www.dominicpettifer.co.uk/Files/MosaicZoom.html (uses CSS3 transforms so only works with Firefox, Opera, Chrome or Safari) Use your mouse wheel to zoom in/out. The HTML source is basically an outer div with an inner-div, and that inner-div contains 16 images arranged using absolute position. It's going to be a Photo Mosaic basically. I've got the zoom bit working using CSS3 transforms: $(this).find('div').css('-moz-transform', 'scale(' + scale + ')'); ...however, I'm relying on the mouse X/Y position on the outer div to zoom in on where the mouse cursor is, similar to how Google Maps functions. The problem is that if you zoom right in on an image, move the cursor to the bottom/left corner and zoom again, instead of zooming to the bottom/left corner of the image, it zooms to the bottom/left of the entire mosaic. This has the effect of appearing to jump about the mosaic as you zoom in closer while moving the mouse around, even slightly. That's basically the problem, I want the zoom to work exactly like Google Maps where it zooms exactly to where your mouse cursor position is, but I can't get my head around the Maths to calculate the transform-origin: X/Y values correctly. Please help, been stuck on this for 3 days now.     I am trying to make a popup button that always displays a + as its image and when you click on it, a context menu pops up that will allow you to decide what type of object you want to add. Is there anyway to do this using an NSPopupButton? I saw in the specs for NSPopupButotn that the method SetImage has no effect so it seems that this is likely not going to work using this class.   • How can I make a child window topmost?

    Hi, I have a parent form, with some child windows (not forms - just windows, for example label controls) inside it. Under certain circumstances, I want one of those child windows to be drawn "above" the others, to display a message over the entire main form. I've tried setting HWND_TOPMOST and HWND_TOP on the child windows, but it doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Am I doing something wrong, or do HWND_TOPMOST and HWND_TOP only work on forms, as opposed to controls within forms? Thanks.
