I have looked at it over and over again but cannot seem to figure out why it is not working.     I'm trying to create an add-on to Skype with C#. I don't want to use Skype4COM, as I'd like the experience with messages and such. Unfortunately, the messages are tripping me up. I've got the pumps and such set up. They all work, and my app successfully sends the "APIDiscover" message to Skype, gets a "PendingAuth" response and then the "AttachSuccess" message. However, when I try to send "ping" to Skype (to which it should reply "pong") nothing happens. The return code from SendMessage is 0 but Marshall.GetLastWin32Error is 1400 (Invalid handle).   • MSBUILD ClickOnce Error: Deployment and application do not have matching security zones

    We're trying to publish a ClickOnce application through msbuild. We've got it working fine for an installed version of the windows application. However, when we set install to false so that it just runs the app from the web we get the following error when we try to run the application from the URL: "Deployment and application do not have matching security zones" This works fine in IE. We only get the error message in Chrome and FireFox.   • Preventing multiple repeat selection of synchronized Controls ?

    The working code sample here synchronizes (single) selection in a TreeView, ListView, and ComboBox via the use of lambda expressions in a dictionary where the Key in the dictionary is a Control, and the Value of each Key is an Action<int. Where I am stuck is that I am getting multiple repetitions of execution of the code that sets the selection in the various controls in a way that's unexpected : it's not recursing : there's no StackOverFlow error happening; but, I would like to figure out why the current strategy for preventing multiple selection of the same controls is not working. Perhaps the real problem here is distinguishing between a selection update triggered by the end-user and a selection update triggered by the code that synchronizes the other controls ? Note: I've been experimenting with using Delegates, and forms of Delegates like Action<T>, to insert executable code in Dictionaries : I "learn best" by posing programming "challenges" to myself, and implementing them, as well as studying, at the same time, the "golden words" of luminaries like Skeet, McDonald, Liberty, Troelsen, Sells, Richter. Note: Appended to this question/code, for "deep background," is a statement of how I used to do things in pre C#3.0 days where it seemed like I did need to use explicit measures to prevent recursion when synchronizing selection.   • jQuery / jqGrids / Submitting form data troubles...

    Ive been messing with jqgrids alot of the last couple days, and I have nearly everything the way I want it from the display, tabs with different grids, etc. Im wanting to make use of Modal for adding and editing elements on my grid. My problem that Im running into is this. I have my editurl:"editsu.php" set, if that file is renamed, on edit, i get a 404 in the modal.. great! However, with that file in place, nothing at all seems to happen. I even put a die("testing"); line at the top, so it sees the file, it just doesnt do anything with it.     I have a dropdown to display status, which can be Enabled(true) or Disabled(false). So I have set it in binding as follows. <xforms:bind nodeset="./status" xxforms:default="true()" /> When user chooses Disabled in the dropdown, the status should get saved as false. The problem with the workaround is mentioned in the last link, both connection uses the same port, which in my case, causes a block, where both of the embedded devices can actually send data, that is not been processed on the Android, while both embedded devices can receive data sent from the Android. Did anyone handle this before?   • using ajax to post comments in cakephp results in 404 error, but no errors locally?

    Using an ajax helper created for use with Jquery I've created a form that posts comments to "/comments/add", and this works as expected on my local wamp server but not on my production server. On my production server I get a '404 error, cannot find /comments/add'. I've spent quite a bit of time searching for a resolution with no luck so far. I've focused on trying to identify a gap but nothing jumps out at me.   • QuickBox2D poly behaviour vs box or circle

    Hi I've played a little with Box2D before and have just started using QuickBox2D which makes things heaps easier. I am however getting different behaviour with a specific poly shape than I am with a box. All other properties are the same. I've included 3 simple examples and their source below. What I really want to work is Example 1 with both objects as poly. As you can see, it seems like the 'paddle' poly is the one that's failing - the 'ball' (whether it's a poly or circle) just falls straight through it instead of bouncing off as it does with a box 'paddle' object. Would appreciate some help or insight.   • Many-to-many mapping with LINQ

    I would like to perform LINQ to SQL mapping in C#, in a many-to-many relationship, but where data is not mandatory. To be clear: I have a news site/blog, and there's a table called Posts. A blog can relate to many categories at once, so there is a table called CategoriesPosts that links with foreign keys with the Posts table and with Categories table. I've made each table with an identity primary key, an id field in each one, if it matters in this case. In C# I defined a class for each table, defined each field as explicitly as possible. The Post class, as well as Category class, have a EntitySet to link to CategoryPost objects, and CategoryPost class has 2 EntityRef members to link to 2 objects of each other type. The problem is that a Post may relate or not to any category, as well as a category may have posts in it or not. I didn't find a way to make an EntitySet<CategoryPost?> or something like that. So when I added the first post, all went well with not a single SQL statement. Also, this post was present in the output. When I tried to add the second post I got an exception, Object reference not set to an instance of an object, regarding to the CategoryPost member. But It's not giving me that, it's not really giving me anything back, just an empty simple xml object... So one website made me think I might need an XSLT to read this correctly. Or something else made me think it's because I don't have at the top. Help!

  • Dual AJAX Requests at different times

    Alright, I'm trying to make an AJAX Chat system that polls the chat database every 400ms. That part is working, the part of which isn't is the Active User List. When I try to combine the two requests, the first two requests are made, then the whole thing snowballs and the usually timed (12 second) Active User List request starts updating every 1ms and the first request NEVER happens again.
