Hello there!
If I have a code like this:
$file = basename($filename);
How do i get the file extension of $file? The variabel file could contain any kind of file, like index.php or test.jpeg.
Howdy!
I have a certificate signing request with an extension stack added. When building a certificate based on this request, I would like to be able to access that stack to use in creating the final certificate.
However, while M2Crypto.X509.X509 has a number of helpers for accessing extensions (get_ext, get_ext_at and the like), M2Crypto.X509.Request appears to provide only a member for adding extensions, but no way to inspect the extensions already associated with a given object.
Am I missing something here?
Hello, I have come up with a rewriterule to to go to any page on my website without typing in the .php extension because it is automatically added to the url.
The rule is: RewriteRule ^(\w+)/?$ /$1.php
It takes anything you type in my index and adds .php to it, so you can put in http://sampardee.com/index and it pulls up index.php
Now my question is how to detect when a user enters http://sampardee.com/index.php and change it to http://sampardee.com/index
How could I do so with a rewriterule?
I'm trying to figure out a way to add a binding extension to an endpoint via code, instead of through configuration files. Ideally I want it to simply be an attribute I place on the service method.
So far it seems like the only thing that isn't exposed publicly is the binding extensions.
can anybody help me. the sample code is
function capturecurrent() {
var win = chrome.extension.getExtensionTabs();
return win;
}
its not returning any domwindowarray. if i calculate win.length, it always gives me 0;

I know I've seen this done before but I can't find the information anywhere. I need to be able to route with .html extensions in the Zend Framework.
I.E. /controller/action.html should route to the appropriate controller / action.
We have an idea to throw away the .html extension with our .htaccess file but I think changing the route config would be the better solution.
Any advice is welcome.
I'm deploying a small conversion tool on some systems, and want the users to be able to run it from the right click Open with menu. But I don't want to change the default program users have associated to this file type.
It is easy to associate a file extension/type to a program, but how to do it without changing the default program?
I'm coding a networking application on Android.
I'm thinking of having a single UDP port and Datagram socket that receives all the datagrams that are sent to it and then have different processing queues for these messages.
I'm doubting if I should have a second or third UDP socket on standby. Some messages will be very short (100bytes or so), but others will have to transfer files.
My concern is, will the Android kernel drop the small messages if it's too busy handling the bigger ones?
Here is what I have so far:
Get-ChildItem "C:\Folder" | Foreach-Object {$_.Name} > C:\Folder\File.txt
When you open the output from above, File.txt, you see this:
file1.txt
file2.mpg
file3.avi
file4.txt
How do I get the output so it drops the extension and only shows this:
file1
file2
file3
file4
Thanks in advance!
EDIT
Figured it out with the help of the fellows below me. I ended up using:
Get-ChildItem "C:\Folder" | Foreach-Object {$_.BaseName} > C:\Folder\File.txt
I visited Avis.com, and I notice the web pages have *.ac extension. Not familiar with this type--what language or framework is this? This something Python-related?
Thanks.
I have a legacy application that I inherited that passes a lot of XML around as Strings.
I often need the ability to check if a String will be valid XML. What is the fastest and least expensive way to check if a string is valid XML in .NET?
I'm working in .NET 3.5 and would most likely use this as an extension method (off of string) in this one project within the solution.
Visual Studio has *.SLN files for 2008, and 2010.
In explorer, the icon associated with the file is based on the version somehow. I was always under the impression that the associated icon just looked at the extension, but obviously there is more going on.
I'm asking on stack overflow as a developer - for my application, but if you feel this belongs on another forum, I'm happy to move the discussion elsewhere.
Thank you!
I am making a qt application which allows the user to select a file and then upon clicking ok, start the associated program with the file already loaded. The program I want to start is java based, and I know how to use QProcess to get it to open, I don't know however how to add the file extension which the user is selecting. Any suggestions?

Please help me, thanks a lot!
I have a client server situation in which I receive data using
read(socket, char_buf, BUF_SIZE)
and then try to write it into a log file using
write(filefd, char_buf, strlen(char_buf))
Strangely enough this fails (write returns -1), and yet the errno is set to 0, and I can print the message, AND the log file descriptor works (I write to it before and after this command).
What's going on??
(Working on Linux kernel 2.4 (homework))
I'm messing around with Linux kernel 2.4 and function schedule() in sched.c uses the macro prepare_arch_schedule, which appears to be an infinite loop. What is that? And how does it finish?

Hi,
The standard extension for template files in Zend Framework is .phtml... I need to change them to .js in one specific module... can anyone help... I'd ideally like to change this a Controller level...
Many thanks...
CodeBlocks is not linking extension SDL Libraries like SDL_mixer and SDL_image? I followed Lazy Foo's tutorial for SDL 1.2 but I am compiling my program in SDL 2.0. The compiler is showing an error with the linking of the libraries though without the mixer library it is working.
My linker setting look like this.
//This is working
-lmingw32 -lSDL2main -lSDL2
//But with the additional mixer library it is not working
-lmingw32 -lSDL2main -lSDL2 -lSDL_mixer
Please help!
I delete my java program from java project in eclipse. The extension was .java and I don't know how to get back? I try (getdataback for NTFS) but I didn't get back my *.java file. Some solution?
Hi All
Is there some way I can make an Extension Method asynchronous?
I have looked around for a while now, but haven't yet found anything related. Will keep looking though...
Thank you
