  • Office 2010 can't open folder at my Skydrive

    I followed the steps to upload documents to a folder at Microsofts Skydrive. Backstage,Share,Save to skydrive,(at this point it always shows Sorry, we are unable to connect to Skydrive.) Than I click the Try Again button and It connects. Then I click the folder I wish to put the document into. And click Save As. And I get (Could not open http://etc..........). Why?

    I need to use the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word namespace to extract if a Word document contains macros, and which ones. The MSDN documentation for this namespace doesn't give much information compared to the documentation on other .Net classes. Where can I get more informations about this namespaces (examples, complete documentation, etc.). I already searched on Google and SO but didn't much information.

  • Adding reference to Office library failing: type or namespace name Word not found

    I'm trying to use the sample code here: I went to "Add Reference" dialog and added "Microsoft Word 12 library", but it doesn't appear in the Solution Explorer. I also added: using Microsoft.Office; I get the following error message when trying to declare a "Word" object. Error 1: The type or namespace name 'Word' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) Any suggestions on how to properly reference the Word library?

  • Visual Basic 2010 Language Enhancements

    Earlier this month Microsoft released Visual Studio 2010, the .NET Framework 4.0 (which includes ASP.NET 4.0), and new versions of their core programming languages: C# 4.0 and Visual Basic 10 (also referred to as Visual Basic 2010).     In continuation of my previous post about using Calendar Overlay with new SharePoint 2010 when you have other Calendar view in any other lists in SharePoint. Now the other option for Overlay we have is with Exchange. You can overlay current users (logged in user) personal Calendar (from Exchange) onto a existing SharePoint calendar, in any list, by using new Overlay feature. Here is an example: Yes, you have to point to your OWA and Exchange WS url. It can also go and find your web service url, when you click find. In my case, it converted machine name into FQDN. That was smart… I had initial configuration issue, that my test users (Administrator!) didn’t have corresponding Exchange e-mail in SharePoint profile. So you have to ensure that your profiles are in sync with AD/Exchange for e-mail. It picks up current user’s e-mail from profile to pull data from Exchange calendar. My calendar in OWA… Same calendar in Outlook 2010… I think, new Calendar Overlay feature fills a great void. Users can now view SharePoint information within context of their personal calendar.     Der Endspurt bei den Vorbereitungen fr die dotnet Cologne 2010 am Freitag 28.5.2010 luft. Stefan Lange, Albert Weinert, Melanie Eibl (vor einigen Wochen zum Orga-Team gestoen und seitdem nicht mehr wegzudenken) und ich haken nach und nach die letzten Punkte auf der TODO-List ab. Die Konferenz ist seit langem ausgebucht, da hat dann auch die Verdopplung der Teilnehmerzahl gegenber letztem Jahr nichts geholfen.
