  • More problems in one

    - by Susie
    Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 12.04 because of some previous problems. I had to recover files through Photorec. But it filled my whole disk overnight and didn't even finish. When I turn on my notebook, there's an error The system is runnning in low-graphics mode (don't know if it's somehow connected with it). I need to delete those recup_dir folders, but also I need to finish recovering and get through the error. So I'm absolutely desperate. I hope that I writed it ok. Thanks in advance.

  • After startup, display reverts to one desktop duplicated on both screens

    - by Skilldrick
    I have a Samsung R530 laptop. I'm actually running Linux Mint, which is based on Ubuntu (which is why I thought it would be OK to post this here). I'm now getting exactly the same problem on Ubuntu 10.10. I've got it setup with a secondary LCD monitor, and I've changed the display settings so the laptop screen and monitor are at optimal resolution, with the desktop shared between them. After startup though (typically around 10-30 seconds) the display reverts to 1024 x 768 on both screens, and the display is duplicated (i.e. both screens show the same thing). I think this is something to do with my video card, as I had the same problem when I was running Arch Linux. Any ideas? • Cron doesn't execute one of the scheduled jobs

    - by user288633
    I'm using a lubuntu desktop, distribution Ubuntu 13.10, i686. This is my problem: in the job list scheduled by cron a job hasn't effect, but in /var/log/syslog its execution is traced. This is the relative log line: Jun 4 09:06:01 kiosk CRON[14189]: (root) CMD (/usr/bin/xinput set-prop 12 --type=float "Coordinate Transformation Matrix" 0 -1 1 1 0 0 0 0 1 /tmp/mybackup.log) This job should rotate touchscreen mapping. I try different solutions: I substitute in crontab the with bash -c "", I set "export DISPLAY=:0.0" ("for Graphics related job in Unix Environment we need to set first the DISPLAY...") before the command,...and many other! I know there are a lots of details affect cron execution (path, environment variables, special character and other) and I have no more idea by now :( Could some gentleman suggest me an idea? where can I find the problem? Thanks in advance!

  • System requirement specification vs functional one - separate docs?

    - by user970696
    A lot of sources (e.g. Wikipedia) mentiones System requirement specification and Functional specification as two separate entities. However, Wiegers in his book writes: The software requirements specification is sometimes called a functional specification, a product specification... This is very confusing for me as I thought FS describes just functions while SRS whole system. From this point of view, FS would contain both non functional and functional requirements and everything else.

  • Send Click Message to another application process

    - by Nazar Hussain
    I have a scenario, i need to send click events to an independent application. I started that application with the following code. private Process app; app = new Process(); app.StartInfo.FileName = app_path; app.StartInfo.WorkingDirectory = dir_path; app.Start(); Now i want to send Mouse click message to that applicaiton, I have specific coordinates in relative to application window. How can i do it using Windows Messaging or any other technique. I used [DllImport("user32.dll")] private static extern void mouse_event(UInt32 dwFlags, UInt32 dx, UInt32 dy, UInt32 dwData, IntPtr dwExtraInfo); It works well but cause the pointer to move as well. So not fit for my need. Then i use. [DllImport("user32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, SetLastError = false)] static extern IntPtr SendMessage(IntPtr hWnd, int Msg, int wParam, int lParam); It works well for minimize maximize, but do not work for mouse events. The codes for mousevents i am using are, WM_LBUTTONDOWN = 0x201, //Left mousebutton down WM_LBUTTONUP = 0x202, //Left mousebutton up WM_LBUTTONDBLCLK = 0x203, //Left mousebutton doubleclick WM_RBUTTONDOWN = 0x204, //Right mousebutton down WM_RBUTTONUP = 0x205, //Right mousebutton up WM_RBUTTONDBLCLK = 0x206, //Right mousebutton do Thanks for the help in advance, and waiting for feedback.

    - by RichMill
    I will update this blog post as we get closer to the retirement of the Flash portal. As you might have read the support.oracle.com  flash site will be replaced with what you see in supporthtml.oracle.com,  once we get the rest of the features and functions ported over to the html site. The HTML site is written using Oracle's ADF stack. So we are now pretty much 100% eating our own dog food.  More details to follow.

  • Image swaping with click on <tr>

    - by Jonny Sooter
    I've edited this piece of code from the Data Tables Plugin witch makes a tr click able and pops open another tr with details from the clicked tr. This piece of code is the event listener for opening and closing. When "details" are open the img should be images/details_close.png and they are closed the img should be images/details_open.png and have a swap occurring when it opens and closes when clicked. What is happening is there is no swap going on when its open or closed I still only get the "details_open.png". I don't knoe if I'm just not selecting the img tag properly or whats going on. Link to project: http://www2.kent.k12.wa.us/ksd/it/www/mobile/elementary.html $('#example tbody').on('click', 'td', function (e) { var myImage = $(this).find("img"); var nTr = $(this).parents('tr')[0]; if ( oTable.fnIsOpen(nTr) ) { /* This row is already open - close it */ myImage.src = "images/details_open.png"; oTable.fnClose( nTr ); } else { /* Open this row */ myImage.src = "images/details_close.png"; oTable.fnOpen( nTr, fnFormatDetails(oTable, nTr), 'details' ); } } );

  • Jquery Mouseenter Click to Remove Class Not Working

    - by Sundance.101
    I'm really hoping someone can help. I have an unordered list of anchors that fades in opacity (the css defaults it to 0.7) on on mouseenter, and out again on mouseleave. On click, I want to add a class that makes the opacity stay at full. Got that far, but removing the class from the matched elements doesn't work at the moment - the other items that have had the class stay at full opacity, too. Here is the Jquery: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#nav a").mouseenter(function(){ $(this).fadeTo("slow",1); $("#nav a").click(function(){ $(".activeList").removeClass("activeList"); //THIS PART ISN'T WORKING $(this).addClass("activeList"); }); }); $("#nav a").mouseleave(function(){ if (!$(this).hasClass("activeList")) { $(this).fadeTo("fast",0.7); } }); }); I think it's because I'm stuck in the element because of mouseenter and can only affect (this). Have tried .bind/.unbind, have tried the add/remove class on it's own (it worked) and a few other things, but no luck so far! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem with scrolling background in one OpenGL loop

    - by GvS
    I have 960x3000 map image in png and I'm scrolling it in a loop like this (it's called in 60 FPS loop): glPushMatrix(); glBindTexture( GL_TEXTURE_2D, mapTex[iBgImg]); glBegin(GL_QUADS); double mtstart = 0.0f - fBgVPos/(double)BgSize; double mtend = mtstart + mtsize; glTexCoord2d(0.0, mtstart); glVertex2f(fBgX, TOP_MARGIN); glTexCoord2d(1.0, mtstart); glVertex2f(fBgX + MAP_WIDTH, TOP_MARGIN); glTexCoord2d(1.0, mtend); glVertex2f(fBgX + MAP_WIDTH, BOTTOM_MARGIN); glTexCoord2d(0.0, mtend); glVertex2f(fBgX, BOTTOM_MARGIN); glEnd(); glPopMatrix(); unfortunately it isn't smooth when the game is in windowed mode. However, it is smooth in full screen mode. I'm using GLFW for windows. Maybe there is something wrong with my method? Is there anything better? Or could this be hardware problem? Edit: Window is created using glfwOpenWindowHint(GLFW_WINDOW_NO_RESIZE, GL_TRUE); glfwOpenWindowHint(GLFW_REFRESH_RATE, 60); and main loop is using glfwSwapInterval(1) to ensure 60 FPS;

    Back in November I started complicated research into measuring the widths and heights of variousinteresting elements in mobile browsers. This research kept me occupied for months and months; and frankly I becamea bit afraid of it because the subject is so complicated.Besides, when I re-did some tests in MarchI pretty quickly figured out I’d made some nasty mistakes in my original tests. Back to thedrawing board.However, after a review round by some browser vendors and some rewriting it’s done now.Today...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors?
