  • dynamic text in <h1> tag

    - by Ami
    what would be the impact on SEO of changing the text of the <h1> dynamically on the server side each time the web page loads? I'm not talking about changing the whole text, just part of it, for example if the header contains some fixed text (with keywords of course), and also contains the current date or time/the current number of logged on users/the count of items current in stock/whatever. how would that affect my ranking? is it bad? doesn't make a difference? thanks.

  • jQuery javascript dynamic menus with mbMenu plugin

    - by lafoaug
    Im using the MbMenu jQuery plugin. http://plugins.jquery.com/project/mbMenu http://pupunzi.open-lab.com/2009/01/18/mbmenu/ I am probably being ridiculously stupid but I wish to have multiple menus on the same page, but not load them from external files (the html structure of the menu already exists on the page). To me the only place you define what menu is linked to the element you call buildMenu on is the 'template' construction which is a external file. Thanks.

  • dynamic inheritance without touching classes

    - by Jasper
    I feel like the answer to this question is really simple, but I really am having trouble finding it. So here goes: Suppose you have the following classes: class Base; class Child : public Base; class Displayer { public: Displayer(Base* element); Displayer(Child* element); } Additionally, I have a Base* object which might point to either an instance of the class Base or an instance of the class Child. Now I want to create a Displayer based on the element pointed to by object, however, I want to pick the right version of the constructor. As I currently have it, this would accomplish just that (I am being a bit fuzzy with my C++ here, but I think this the clearest way) object->createDisplayer(); virtual void Base::createDisplayer() { new Displayer(this); } virtual void Child::createDisplayer() { new Displayer(this); } This works, however, there is a problem with this: Base and Child are part of the application system, while Displayer is part of the GUI system. I want to build the GUI system independently of the Application system, so that it is easy to replace the GUI. This means that Base and Child should not know about Displayer. However, I do not know how I can achieve this without letting the Application classes know about the GUI. Am I missing something very obvious or am I trying something that is not possible?

  • Get the Dynamic table data from gui in selenium webDriver

    - by Rabindra
    I am working on a web based Application that I am testing with Selenium. On one page the content is dynamically loaded in table. I want to get the Table data, i am geting a "org.openqa.selenium.NullPointerElementException" in this line. WebElement table = log.driver.findElement(By.xpath(tableXpath)); I tried the following complete code. public int selectfromtable(String tableXpath, String CompareValue, int columnnumber) throws Exception { WebElement table = log.driver.findElement(By.xpath(tableXpath)); List<WebElement> rows = table.findElements(By.tagName("tr")); int flag = 0; for (WebElement row : rows) { List<WebElement> cells = row.findElements(By.tagName("td")); if (!cells.isEmpty() && cells.get(columnnumber).getText().equals(CompareValue)) { flag = 1; Thread.sleep(1000); break; } else { Thread.sleep(2000); flag = 0; } } return flag; } I am calling the above method like String tableXpath = ".//*[@id='event_list']/form/div[1]/table/tbody/tr/td/div/table"; selectfromtable(tableXpath, eventType, 3); my html page is like <table width="100%"> <tbody style="overflow: auto; background-color: #FFFFFF"> <tr class="trOdd"> <td width="2%" align="center"> <td width="20%" align="center"> Account </td> <td width="20%" align="center"> Enter Collection </td> <td width="20%" align="center"> <td width="20%" align="center"> 10 </td> <td width="20%" align="center"> 1 </td> </tr> </tbody> <tbody style="overflow: auto; background-color: #FFFFFF"> <tr class="trEven"> <td width="2%" align="center"> <td width="20%" align="center"> Account </td> <td width="20%" align="center"> Resolved From Collection </td> <td width="20%" align="center"> <td width="20%" align="center"> 10 </td> <td width="20%" align="center"> 1 </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

  • paypal_adaptive gem in Rails: Dynamic Receiver "Population" (Chained Payments)

    - by Jmlevick
    Note: I didn't find a better title for this O.o Hello, Humm... Look, what I want to do is to have a Rails app where a visitor can click a button/link to make a "special" chained payment using Paypal; Currently I have a Users registration form that has one field for the user to enter his/her paypal account email, and as I saw here: http://marker.to/XGg9MR it is possible to specify the primary reciever and the secondary ones by adding such info in a controller action when using the paypal_adaptive gem in a rails app. The thing is, I don't want to hard code the secondary reciever as I need to specify a different secondary reciever from time to time, (being specific my primary reciever will always be the same, but depending on what button/link the visitor clicks, the secondary one is going to change) and I want that secondary reciever email to be the paypal e-mail account from one of the registered users when the visitor clicks on their specific button/link... My question is: Is it possible to create such enviroment functionality in my app using the current implementation of the paypal_adaptive gem? Could someone point me in the right direction on how to accomplish such thing? I'm still learning rails and also I'm really new in the paypal handling universe with this framework! XD P.S. Thanks! :)

  • jquery accessing dynamic class selectors

    - by dinotom
    Given the following html rendering; <fieldset id="fld_Rye"> <legend>7 Main St.</legend> <div> <table> <tr> <th class="wideCol"><b><i>Service Description</i></b></th> <th class="wideCol"><b><i>Service Name</i></b></th> <th class="normalPlusWidth"><b><i>Contact Name</i></b></th> </tr> <ItemTemplate> <tr class=""> <td class="servDesc">&nbsp;<b>Plumbing Services</b></td> <td class="servName">&nbsp;<b>Flynnsters's Plumbing</b></td> <td class="servContact">&nbsp;<b>Jim Flynnster</b></td> </tr> </ItemTemplate> I am trying to access all the td's with a class of servDesc, get their width into an array and get the max width from that array to reset the css width of that class using jquery on page load. I cant seem to get the right selector for those tags, and I've tried at least 50 variations. My latest try; var maxTdWidth; var servDescCols = []; $("#fld_Rye td#servDesc").each(function () { alert("found one"); servDescCols.push(this.width()); }); maxTdWidth = Math.max.apply(Math, servDescCols);

  • JQuery Dynamic Element - In DOM but unable to bind

    - by Grant80
    Hi All, I'm new to using JQuery so bear with me. I had implmented some code based on a js file that I found online which enables a series of div tags within a nested structure on my page to step through and show each one individually on the page. This all works great when I define the div tags as static entries in the masterpage. I should add that this is being implemented in a SharePoint master page. Ultimately though, with a static collection of div tags ideally containing an image with some descriptive text, and a hyperlink its not very flexible. Roll on my changes to make this a little more configurable. I have implemented some additional code that will read from a SharePoint list via an ajax call to the lists web service. For each entry in the list I am building a div tag that contains the information required dynamically. For testing, I am only pulling the title through at present. I have used the following code: $('#beltDiv').append(divHTML) to append the divs in the loop that are created to my nested structure on the page. I figured that this would cause the fade code to work as expected but I was wrong. It doesn't do anything at all. When check the source on the page, the div tags are not shown. They are however available in the DOM model when viewed through the IE developer toolbar. The issue (I think) looks to be that the initiation of the featureFade code is not working due to the div tags being unavailable. Is there a way to address this? The code used is shown below: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { var soapEnv = "<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'> \ <soapenv:Body> \ <GetListItems xmlns='http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/'> \ <listName>Carousel Items</listName> \ <viewFields> \ <ViewFields> \ <FieldRef Name='Title' /> \ </ViewFields> \ </viewFields> \ </GetListItems> \ </soapenv:Body> \ </soapenv:Envelope>"; $.ajax({ url: "_vti_bin/lists.asmx", type: "POST", dataType: "xml", data: soapEnv, complete: processResult, contentType: "text/xml; charset=\"utf-8\"" }); }); function processResult(xData, status) { $(xData.responseXML).find("z\\:row").each(function() { var divHTML = "<div id=\"divPanel_" + $(this).attr("ows_Title") + "\" class=\"panel\" style=\"background:url('http://devSP2010/sites/SPSOPS/Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/01.jpg') no-repeat; width:650px; height:55px;\"><div><div class=\"content\"><div><P><A style=\"COLOR: #cc0000\" href=\"www.google.com\">" + $(this).attr("ows_Title") + "</A></P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P></div></div></div></div>"; $("#beltDiv").append(divHTML); }); } featureFade.setup({ galleryid: 'headlines', beltclass: 'belt', panelclass: 'panel', autostep: { enable: true, moveby: 1, pause: 10000 }, panelbehavior: { speed: 1000, wraparound: true }, stepImgIDs: ["ftOne", "ftTwo", "ftThree", "ftFour","ftFive"], defaultButtons: { itemOn: "Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/dotOn.png", itemOff: "Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/dotOff.png" } }); The section where the div tags are dynamically appended is shown below. I've commented out the static div tags that work as expected. The only change is that these are implmented by the JQuery logic: <div class="homeFeature" style="display:inline-block"> <div id="headlines" class="headlines"> <div id="beltDiv" class="belt"> <!-- <div id="divPanel_ct01" class="panel" style="position:absolute;background-image:url('http://devsp2010/sites/spsops/Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/01.jpg'); background-repeat:no-repeat">Static Test 1</div> <div id="divPanel_ct02" class="panel" style="position:absolute;background-image:url('http://devsp2010/sites/spsops/Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/02.jpg'); background-repeat:no-repeat">Static Test 2</div> --> </div> </div> I'm stumped as to why it's not recognising the dynamically added elements in the DOM. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this. I'm happy to provide any further information on this. Thanks in advance, Grant Further to the answer recieved: I have modified the function call: function processResult(xData, status) { $(xData.responseXML).find("z\\:row").each( function() { /*alert($(this).attr("ows_ImagePath"));*/ var divHTML = "<div id=\"divPanel_" + $(this).attr("ows_Title") + "\" class=\"panel\" style=\"background:url('http://devSP2010/sites/SPSOPS/Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/ClydePort01big.jpg') no-repeat; width:650px; height:55px;\"><div><div class=\"content\"><div><P><A style=\"COLOR: #cc0000\" href=\"www.google.com\">" + $(this).attr("ows_Title") + "</A></P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P></div></div></div></div>"; $("#beltDiv").append(divHTML); } ); featureFade.setup( { galleryid: 'headlines', beltclass: 'belt', panelclass: 'panel', autostep: { enable: true, moveby: 1, pause: 10000 }, panelbehavior: { speed: 1000, wraparound: true }, stepImgIDs: ["ftOne", "ftTwo", "ftThree", "ftFour","ftFive"], defaultButtons: { itemOn: "Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/dotOn.png", itemOff: "Style Library/SharePointOps/Images/dotOff.png" } } ); }

    - by Ritz
    got this variable var zvmlist = { 'Huishoudelijke hulp': 'Huishoudelijke hulp', 'Verpleging thuis': 'Verpleging thuis', 'Verzorging thuis': 'Verzorging thuis', '24 uurs zorg': '24 uurs zorg', 'Ondersteunende begeleiding': 'Ondersteunende begeleiding', }; this var is used in a function to create a dropdownlist. $.each(zvmlist, function(key, value) { var selected=''; if(key==eventdata.title){var selected='selected' } $('<option value="'+key+'" '+selected+'>'+value+'</option>').appendTo($('#calendar_edit_entry_form_title')); }); which works lika a charm. Now i created a function to fetch the list from a mysql table. $.get('get_zorgvormen.php', function(data) { var zvmlist = '{'+data+'}'; //alert(zvmlist); }); when i enable the alert function it shows me the var(array). But i it wont act as a variable. How can i pass this data to my .each function? see it in action here: http://www.zorgzuster-zeeland.nl/site/static/calendar_test.php

  • How to get a dynamic attribute name in cfloop over query in ColdFusion

    - by Kip
    I'm inside a cfloop over a query. I want to get an attribute, but I won't know what that attribute will be until runtime. Using #qryResult[MyAttr]# fails with the error "Complex object types cannot be converted to simple values." What is the syntax for doing this? Here is a simplified example: <cfquery datasource="TestSource" name="qryResult"> SELECT * FROM MyTable </cfquery> <cfloop query="qryResult"> <cfset MyAttr="autoid" /> <cfoutput> Test 1: #qryResult.autoid# <br/> <!--- succeeds ---> Test 2: #qryResult[MyAttr]# <br/> <!--- fails ---> </cfoutput> </cfloop>

  • Android: Adding header to dynamic listView

    - by cg5572
    I'm still pretty new to android coding, and trying to figure things out. I'm creating a listview dynamically as shown below (and then disabling items dynamically also) - you'll notice that there's no xml file for the activity itself, just for the listitem. What I'd like to do is add a static header to the page. Could someone explain to me how I can modify the code below to EITHER add this programatically within the java file, before the listView, OR edit the code below so that it targets a listView within an xml file! Help would be much appreciated!!! public class Start extends ListActivity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); DataBaseHelper myDbHelper = new DataBaseHelper(null); myDbHelper = new DataBaseHelper(this); try { myDbHelper.openDataBase(); }catch(SQLException sqle){ throw sqle; } ArrayList<String> categoryList = new ArrayList<String>(); Cursor cur = myDbHelper.getAllCategories(); cur.moveToFirst(); while (cur.isAfterLast() == false) { if (!categoryList.contains(cur.getString(1))) { categoryList.add(cur.getString(1)); } cur.moveToNext(); } cur.close(); Collections.sort(categoryList); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.listitem, categoryList) { @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { View view = super.getView(position, convertView, parent); if(Arrays.asList(checkArray3).contains(String.valueOf(position))){ view.setEnabled(false); } else { view.setEnabled(true); } return view; } }); } @Override protected void onListItemClick(ListView l, View v, int position, long id) { if(v.isEnabled()) { String clickedCat = l.getItemAtPosition(position).toString(); Toast.makeText(this, clickedCat, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); finish(); Intent myIntent = new Intent(getApplicationContext(), Questions.class); myIntent.putExtra("passedCategory", clickedCat); myIntent.putExtra("startTrigger", "go"); startActivity(myIntent); } } }

  • Dynamic change of class of <TR> with Jquery

    - by Coronier
    Hi all, This is my first post, and first please forgive me for my poor english. I have a problem I really can't fix: I have a <table> of questions, the first question is visible (class:visible), the others are hidden (class:hidden) $(document).ready(function(){ $('.hidden').hide(); When people click on the first question, I want the second question to appear (and the first question to turn to grey, using a 'done' class). $('.visible:not(.done)').click(function(){ $(this).addClass('done'); $('.hidden:first').toggle(500).removeClass('hidden').addClass('visible'); }) The first question is now done (class:done) and the 2nd question should be the only one to react to a click(), and so on... But it doesn't work: the other <tr> appear only when I click on the 1st <tr>. Can someone give me a hand on this problem ? Thank you.

  • Jquery Quicksearch plugin issue with dynamic pages

    - by TheDarkMist
    Quicksearch is really cool... but it has a usability issue that makes it behave weird. A lot of users presses enter after inserting a string so the page is reloaded with no parameters and the queries are destroyed. look at that: http://www.parksmania.it/parco_list.php?rid=1 Adding $('form#filtroRapido').submit(function () { return false; }); doesn't work! Has someone already solved this?

  • Asp.Net MVC3 - How create Dynamic DropDownList

    - by Bibo
    I found many articles on this but still I don´t know how exactly to do this. I am trying to create my own blog engine, I have View for create article (I am using EF and Code first) and now I must fill number of category in which article should be add but I want to change it to dropdownlist with names of categories. My model looks this: public class Article { public int ArticleID { get; set; } [Required] public string Title { get; set; } [Required] public int CategoryID { get; set; } public DateTime Date { get; set; } [Required()] [DataType(DataType.MultilineText)] [AllowHtml] public string Text { get; set; } public virtual Category Category { get; set; } public IEnumerable<SelectListItem> Categories { get; set; } public virtual ICollection<Comment> Comments { get; set; } } public class Category { public int CategoryID { get; set; } [Required] public string Name { get; set; } public virtual ICollection<Article> Articles { get; set; } } I know I must use Enum (or I think) but I am not exactly sure how. I don´t know which tutorial from that I found is best for me.

  • Dynamic allocating of const member structures

    - by Willy
    I've got class which is using plain-only-data struct with const variables and I'm not sure, if I'm allocating these structures in a proper way. It looks more or less like: #include <cstdlib> #include <iostream> using std::cout; using std::endl; struct some_const_struct { const int arg1; const int arg2; }; class which_is_using_above_struct { public: some_const_struct* m_member; const some_const_struct* const m_const_member; public: const some_const_struct& get_member() const { return *m_member; } const some_const_struct& get_const_member() const { return *m_const_member; } void set_member(const int a, const int b) { if(m_member != NULL) { delete m_member; m_member = NULL; } m_member = new some_const_struct((some_const_struct){a, b}); } explicit which_is_using_above_struct(const int a, const int b) : m_const_member(new some_const_struct((const some_const_struct){a, b})) { m_member = NULL; } ~which_is_using_above_struct() { if(m_member != NULL) { delete m_member; } if(m_const_member != NULL) { delete m_const_member; } } }; int main() { which_is_using_above_struct c(1, 2); c.set_member(3, 4); cout << "m_member.arg1 = " << c.get_member().arg1 << endl; cout << "m_member.arg2 = " << c.get_member().arg2 << endl; cout << "m_const_member.arg1 = " << c.get_const_member().arg1 << endl; cout << "m_const_member.arg2 = " << c.get_const_member().arg2 << endl; return 0; } I'm just not quite sure if the statement: m_member = new some_const_struct((some_const_struct){a, b}); doesn't produce unnessesary use of some_const_struct's copy constructor, ergo allocating that struct twice. What do you think? And is it reasonable to make that struct's members const? (they're not supposed to change in their lifetime at all)

  • Flash Media Server dynamic file naming

    - by flying_tiger
    I'm trying to figure out most efficient/safe way to name recorded streams on FMS. The case is to get listing of recorded streams from the server (eg. rec_001, rec_002...) and dynamically add rec_003 filename to the new stream that is being recorded. I'm thinking about either using FMS File Object and put everything in array of files every time I start recording procedure or to create XML file that would serve as a database of file names. I'm searching for a solution efficient for MULTIPLE connections at a time and large amount of files. Which one of presented would be the best for this purpose? Or do you have any better suggestions of solving this problem?

  • Parsing XML elements with dynamic namespace prefix in PHP

    - by BugKiller
    I have the following XML ( you can say SOAP request ) : <SOAPENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAPENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:NS="http://xyz.gov/headerschema" > <SOAPENV:Header> <NS:myHeader> <NS:SourceID>223423</NS:SourceID> </NS:myHeader> </SOAPENV:Header> </SOAPENV:Envelope> I use the following code and it works fine : <?php $myRequest ='<SOAPENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAPENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:NS="http://xyz.gov/headerschema" > <SOAPENV:Header> <NS:myHeader> <NS:SourceID>223423</NS:SourceID> </NS:myHeader> </SOAPENV:Header> </SOAPENV:Envelope>'; $xml = simplexml_load_string($myRequest, NULL, NULL, "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"); $namespaces = $xml->getNameSpaces(true); $soapHeader = $xml->children($namespaces['SOAPENV'])->Header; $myHeader = $soapHeader->children($namespaces['NS'])->myHeader; echo (string)$myHeader->SourceID; ?> The Problem I know the prefix ( SOAPENV + NS ) , but the clients could change the prefix to whatever they want, so they may send me xml document that has ( MY-SOAPENV + MY-NS) prefixes. My Question How can I handle this since the namespace prefixes are not static , how can I parse it ? Thanks

  • Dynamic creation of a pointer function in c++

    - by Liberalkid
    I was working on my advanced calculus homework today and we're doing some iteration methods along the lines of newton's method to find solutions to things like x^2=2. It got me thinking that I could write a function that would take two function pointers, one to the function itself and one to the derivative and automate the process. This wouldn't be too challenging, then I started thinking could I have the user input a function and parse that input (yes I can do that). But can I then dynamically create a pointer to a one-variable function in c++. For instance if x^2+x, can I make a function double function(double x){ return x*x+x;} during run-time. Is this remotely feasible, or is it along the lines of self-modifying code?
