  • PlaySystemSound with mute switch on

    - by Sam V
    I know, I have to set the AudioSession to the 'playback' category, which allows audio even when the mute switch is on. This is what I do, but sound still gets muted when switch is on. UInt32 sessionCategory = kAudioSessionCategory_MediaPlayback; AudioSessionSetProperty(kAudioSessionProperty_AudioCategory,sizeof(sessionCategory), &sessionCategory); SystemSoundID soundID; NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:soundString ofType:@"wav"]; AudioServicesCreateSystemSoundID((CFURLRef)[NSURL fileURLWithPath:path],&soundID); AudioServicesPlaySystemSound (soundID);

  • Play .WAV under Mono on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard)?

    - by Bob Denny
    The Mono 2.6 distribution contains System.Media.SoundPlayer, but attempts to play result in no sound (and no errors) on Mac OS X. All I can find with Google search is obscure references to ALSA. I posted to the Mono-OSX list, but there have been on replies there. I hope someone here has an answer. I think I need to tap into CoreAudio, but don't know how from Mono/C#.

Ok, my hurdle is this: how do I identify which credit card type is being used as text is entered in the uitextfield? I assume I've to use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString:? However, I've got ideas floating around, but I simple cannot put them together to form code :/ Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advanced :D

  • How to securely pass credit card information between pages in PHP

    - by Alex
    How do you securely pass credit card information between pages in PHP? I am building an ecommerce application and I would like to have the users to go through the checkout like this: Enter Information - Review - Finalize Order Problem is that I am not sure on how to safely pass credit information from when the user inputs them to when I process it (at the Finalize Order step). I heard using sessions is insecure, even with encryption. Any help would be appreciated!

  • Providing raw MP3/AAC data to Flex/Flash from a custom container

    - by Joonas Trussmann
    Having had a quick look at the Flex docs I can't seem to find any reference to providing audio content to be played from a custom (possibly encrypted - don't worry, it's not that evil) container format. Is this possible and if so, could someone point me in the right direction. Or if that's not possible, some way to hook into the disk/network (disk is much more important in this case) I/O of the sound playing mechanism to provide a supported container in memory from a custom wrapper.

  • Windows Mobile: "My network card connects to" registry settings

    - by Martin Robins
    Can anybody please tell me the registry setting(s) that are affected in Windows Mobile 6.1 when a user selects Start - Settings - Connections - Wi-Fi and then changes the value of the "My network card connects to" drop down list on the "Network Adapters" tab? I have a device that seems to default this to "The Internet" when in fact the Wi-Fi connects to the corporate network and I would like to be able to change this programatically rather than expecting 250+ users to have to do it manually every time they reboot their devices. Thanks.

  • Android: getting thumbnails from specific location on sd card

    - by dykzei
    AFAIK accessing thumbnails for images via MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails would generate thumbnails at first attempt, and that's what i need to perform against specific location on sd card. The question is how to make valid URI to content under specific folder? All answers i can find use just MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI as uri to make managedQuery. And result of it is Cursor that points to all sdcard images, while none examples can be found on how to access only specific folder.
