  • Asterisk terminating outbound call when picked up, sends 'BYE' message

    I'm running Asterisk 1.6.1.10 / FreePBX 2.5.2.2 and I've got an outbound trunk setup. Everything use to work fine until recently (perhaps due to upgrade to FC12 or other things I'm not sure). Anyway the setup does not appear to have issues registering and setting up the call, RTP packets go both ways and you can hear the ringing from the other side. However it appears that when the call is picked up or thereabouts, the incoming RTP packets cease. Upon closer inspection with Wireshark, there are these particular packets that seem to be the cause: trunk->asterisk SIP/SD Status: 200 OK, with session description asterisk->trunk SIP Request: ACK sip:<phone>@trunk:6889 asterisk->trunk SIP Request: BYE sip:<phone>@trunk:6889 [..about a dozzen RTP packets in/outbound..] trunk->asterisk SIP Status: 200 OK, CSeq: 104 Bye [..outbound RTP continues, phone is silent..] Then the inbound RTP packets cease, however the asterisk logs dont show any activity at this point. The last entry reads 'SIP/ is answered SIP/'. Then when you hangup the extension, you get asterisk->trunk SIP Request: BYE sip:<phone>@trunk:6889 trunk->asterisk SIP Status: 481 Call Leg/Transaction does not exist My trunk peer settings in FreePBX are: username=<user> fromuser=<user> canreinvite=no type=friend secret=<pass> qualify=no [qualify yes produces 401/forbidden messages] nat=yes insecure=very host=<sip trunk gateway> fromdomain=<sip trunk gateway> disallow=all context=from-pstn allow=ulaw dtmfmode=inband Under sip_general_custom.conf i have stunaddr=stun.xten.com externrefresh=120 localnet=192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 nat=yes Whats causing Asterisk to prematurely end the call and still think the call is in progress? I have no idea where to look next.

    Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have a 3 yr old MacBook Pro and lately I've been getting an error msg when I try to download something to my machine, This is what it says: Download error /Users/scarletriley/Downloads/the name of document goes here- no spaces of course! could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to a disk first and then opening the file. What does this mean, and what should I do to fix it? Thanks! Scarlet

  • Logging Apache2 payload to evaluate SOAP message

    I am trying to log webservice specific information with Apache (Apache acts as a load-balancer by use of mod_jk). For instance I want to know how long the responsetime of each webservice-call takes. To do this I definitely would need to know the name of the webservice-method in the log-file. As a matter of fact, the name of the webservice-method is wrapped in the SOAP-body, to which I have no access to with the default-configuration. Does anybody know an Apache module to extend the log-information? Or are there any other ideas to solve this challenge? Thx!

  • Create a mailbox in qmail, then forward all incoming message to Gmail

    I needed to let PHP send mails from my webserver to my web app users. So I installed qmail on my Debian server: sudo apt-get install qmail I also updated files in /etc/qmail specifing my domain name, and then I run sudo qmailctl reload and sudo qmailctl restart: /etc/qmail/defaultdomain # Contains 'mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/defaulthost # Contains 'mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/me # Contains 'mail.mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/rcpthosts # Contains 'mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/locals # Contains 'mydomain.com' Emails are sent without any problem from my PHP script to any email address, using the standard mail PHP library. Now the problem is that if I send mail from my PHP using [email protected] as sender address, I want that customer can reply to that address! And possibly, I want all mails sent to this address should be forwarded to my personal Gmail address. At the moment qmail seems to not accept any incoming mail because of "invalid mailbox name". Here is a complete SMTP session I established with my server: me@MYPC:~$ nc mydomain.com 25 220 ip-XX-XX-XXX-XXX.xxx.xxx.xxx ESMTP HELO [email protected] 250 ip-XX-XX-XXX-XXX.xxx.xxx.xxx MAIL FROM:<[email protected]> 250 ok RCPT TO:<[email protected]> 250 ok DATA 554 sorry, invalid mailbox name(s).   • Excel 2002 disappears with no error message

    Excel 2002 closes about 30 seconds after I open it. No further action has to be taken; I open the program, wait a little while, and the window and process just disappears. I'm running Windows XP SP2 with Office 2002 Pro installed. Recently, Outlook 2007 was added to the computer (previously not installed at all.) Word 2002 works fine. Excel 2002 also works fine on another computer with a similar configuration. Things I've already checked for or tried: Verified that no add-ins are enabled. Repairing the installation. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Rename %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Excel I'm guessing that it is trying to load a component that doesn't exist and failing, but I don't know how to proceed. Suggestions welcome. Thank you!

    OS:WinXP Say I got some files in Chinese and some files in Korean. And in windows 'Region and Language Options', I set language for non-unicode program = Chinese. Is there any way that I can read some Korean text file in text editor easily without using Microsoft Word? I need an environment that can support multiple unicode easily, I need to read Chinese, Japanese, Korean in text editor (Ultraeditor, notepad++) and terminal clients like SecureCRT.   • SMTP message rate control on Ubuntu 8.04, preferably with postfix

    Maybe I am chasing a bug but I am trying to set up a smtp proxy of sorts. I have a postfix server which receives all the email for a collection of servers/clients. It them uses a smarthost (relayhost=...) to forward it's mail to our corporate MTA. I would like to limit the number of messages an individual server can relay to prevent swamping the corporate MTA. Postfix has a program called "anvil" that is capable of tracking stats about mail to be used for such things but it doesn't seem to be executed. I ran "inotifywait -m /usr/lib/postfix/anvil" while I started postfix and sent a number of messages through it from a remote server. inotifywait indicated anvil was never run.     We use several Word documents as templates and currently include 'guidance' text for the reader - in the form of grey, italic text - to provide guidance to the person completing the document. Note how the grey+italic text is used to provide both guidance and example content Problems with this approach include: People forgetting to delete all of this template/boilerplate text People using the italic+grey formatting when inputting real information because they don't change the style We've considered including Reviewing comments as an alternative but this can be a pain and suffers from the first problem above. I'm not sure a simple, elegant solution exists here but if there's something obvious I'm missing I'd love to hear about it.

  • RabbitMQ message broker unable to open unused port 61613

    On a Windows Vista system, RabbitMQ fails to open port 61613 which is not used (as netstat and TCPView show). The server log indicates that it is possible to bind port 5672, but the next lines show the problem with port 61613. I have cleared all firewall settings and rebooted. Several times in the past this helped to solve the problem.   • Outlook 2010: When sending message on behalf of someone else, store that message in the other person's Sent Items folder

    We have an e-mail account for support purposes which is tended to by multiple members of the team. When answering a support e-mail we obviously choose the support account as sender. Still, the answer is not stored in the support account's Sent Items folder, but in the Sent Items of the person actually answering. This behavior, which seems to be by design, prevents others from gaining access to the entire conversation and potentially causes multiple answers. I am looking for an automated way of moving e-mails sent on behalf of someone else to that person's Sent Items folder. I tried to create a rule for this but could not find the right setting.

    I have a network drive mapped to a share on a Window Server 2003. I have a shortcut to this drive stored in my Windows 7 favorites. When I double click the shortcut and then rename a file on the drive, if the file is longer than 8 chars or contains spaces then I get this error The drive that this file or folder is stored on does not allow long file names, or names containing blanks or any of the following characters:... If I get to the network drive by click on it in the tree under computer then it works fine. Is there a way to get round this?

  • Reply to mailman archived message

    (not exactly sure if this is the right place for this question, but I trust you will migrate it if it isn't) I was having a problem with gdb, and while there issue appears to be recurring, I found only one instance of someone recently experiencing the same problem. I found this other instance on a mailman archived mailing list. Then I tried some more things and finally solved the issue with gdb. So, now I want to report back the solution I found to the mailing list. However, this is really only of use if mailman recognizes my mail as being the same thread as the original problem, but I do not have that mail (just the online archived version of it) so I cannot reply to it. My question: How can I make sure mailman considers my mail as a reply to that thread? Is simply copying the topic enough?

I'm on a mac osx 10.7.2 Processor 2.26 GHz intel core 2 due I downloaded: mysql-5.5.18-osx10.6-x86_64.dmg I'm now at the point of setting the root password and when I type in: sudo: mysql_secure_installation it asks me to enter my password, then it says: sudo: mysql_secure_installation: command not found Any help would be appreciated.     I am now new to scripts but i find it really difficult understanding "for" command (especially with that tokens and delimiters etc) . Saying so, i think that for command can be used to do what i am doing. If its not and there is an easier way, ignore my ignorance :( Say i have multiple lines in a text file abc.txt with each line starting and ending with " (quotes) E.g. a file of 3 lines "hey what is going on @mike220. Its engine is in very bad condition" "Because if you knew, you'd get shredded and do it with certainty" "@honey220 Do you know someone who has busted their ass on a diet only for results to come to a screeching halt after a few weeks" How can i trim each line, within the quotes, to a Fixed length say 30 or 50 or 100 characters (including spaces) I want to enter the number of character in batch and it can trim accordingly and produce a file def.txt with trimmed lines within quotes. Say i enter 50, results of above example should be "hey what is going on @mike220.   • marking text in Windows 7's command prompt

    I use Windows 7's command prompt (cmd.exe) for various tasks. In order to copy text from it, I right click and choose Mark, and then mark the text I want to copy. Sometimes while doing this, the marking doesn't stick. The minute I release the left mouse button after marking the text, the marking disappears. This has happened on every Windows 7 installation I've ever installed. How do I solve this?
