  I'm trying to run a webapp/site on my machine, it's running on OSX 10.6.2 and I'm having some problems: Caught an exeption while rending: The _imagingft C module is not installed Doing import _imagingft in python gives me this: >>> import _imagingft Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so, 2): Symbol not found: _FT_Done_Face Referenced from: /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so Expected in: flat namespace in /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so It's seems that the Freetype library is the one having problems. No errors so far when installing PIL or when I compiled(?) the jpeg and freetype libraries so far. I'm on django 1.1.1, python 2.6.2.

• curl FTPS with client certificate to a vsftpd

  I'd like to authenticate FTP clients either via username+password or a client certificate. Only FTPS is allowed. User/password works, but while testing with curl (I don't have another option) and a client certificate, I need to pass a user. • Can't run MonoTouch App

  Hi guys, This is not a really Programming Question, but please bear with me as it's related to the IDE that we use to develop and I'm really Stuck! :( Every time I create a project (can be an empty project) I get the message above when pressing Run or Debug. I have no Web Servers running the Web Share is off, the Zend Server as well MAMP is Off, the app itself does nothing as it's a blank project and if I run it on the iPhone/iPad Simulator, the app just opens and closes automatically :-/ I'm all new to monoTouch, but I wonder, does anyone has this problem and know what should I do? Running OSX 10.6.3 iPhone SDK 3.2 MonoDevelop 2.2.2 MonoTouch Eval 2.0.1 Thank you for all the help.

• Sending and receiving a TMemoryStream using IdTCPClient and IdTCPServer

  I found Remy Lebeau's chat demo of IdTCP components in XE2 and I wanted to play with it a little bit. (It can be found here) I would like to send a picture using these components and the best approach seems to be using TMemoryStream. If I send strings, the connection works fine, the strings are transmitted successfully, however when I change it to Stream instead, it doesn't work. However, when closing the programs(after sending the MemoryStream), two things happen: If the Client is closed first, only then does the except part get processed (the log displays the 'Failed to receive' error. However, even if I place a breakpoint on the first line of the try-except block, it somehow gets skipped and only the error is displayed). If the Server is closed first, the IDE doesn't change back from debug, Client doesn't change its state to disconnected (as it normally does when server disconnects) and after the Client is closed as well, an Access Violation error from the Server app appears. I guess this means that there is a thread of the Server still running and maintaining the connection. But no matter how much time i give it, it never completes the task of receiving the MemoryStream. Note: The server uses IdSchedulerOfThreadDefault and IdAntiFreeze, if that matters. As I can't find any reliable source of help for the revamped Indy 10 (it all appears to apply for the older Indy 10, or even Indy 9), I hope you can tell me what is wrong. • Xcode duplicate symbol _main .

  I'm getting the following error in Xcode 3.2.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.2 whenever I try to compile any iPhone application generated by Appcelerator's Titanium . However , the build error only appears when I select iPhone simulator on the architecture menu , and if I select iPhone device , I am able to run the app on my device . Further , the iPhone simulator launches successfully and executes the program directly from the Titanium environment , which uses Xcode to build . • QLogic QLE8152 won't link up with a fiber loop

  I have a Dell R710 running Debian Linux 6.0 (Squeeze). I installed a QLogic QLE8152 CNA in the PCI-E riser today and I have been trying to get the CNA's ethernet layer to come up after I put a fiber loop on it; I also scoped it with a light meter, and the SFP+ transceiver is getting the correct amount of light. The whole time I have been working on this problem, the lights on the CNA are blinking green at a rate of about 1 flash every 3 seconds. When I plug the fiber into a Juniper EX4500 10GE in a rack next to it, the Juniper's link stays down as well. I have to confess that this is my first wrangling with a CNA, so perhaps I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, but here is what I have found so far... First the basics... • Plastic SCM vs. SVN

  I'm currently researching new source control options for a team of 10 developers. We do .net development in Visual Studio 2008. We currently use VSS for source control. We are looking for a centralized source control solution(non-distributed), with a nice Visual Studio plugin. My manager has recommended Plastic SCM and I've always heard good things about Subversion. I'm trying to decide if we should adopt Subversion or Plastic SCM. There isn't much information out there about Plastic SCM (except what they've written) and I was wondering if it would be a good solution. They make it sound as if branching is much simpler. Subversion on the other hand has a robust, mature community, and it has been thoroughly field tested. What are the pros and cons to these tools? Also are there any other tools that you could suggest?   I am looking to do the following using an NHibernate Criteria Query I have "Product"s which has 0 to Many "Media"s A product can be associated with 1 to Many ProductCategories These use a table in the middled to create the join ProductCategories Id Title ProductsProductCategories ProductCategoryId ProductId Products Id Title ProductMedias ProductId MediaId Medias Id MediaType I need to implement a criteria query to return All Products in a ProductCategory and the top 1 associated Media or no media if none exists. So although for example a "T Shirt" may have 10 Medias associated, my result should be something similar to this Product.Id Product.Title MediaId 1 T Shirt 21 2 Shoes Null 3 Hat 43 I have tried the following solutions using JoinType.LeftOuterJoin 1) productCriteria.SetResultTransformer(Transformers.DistinctRootEntity); This hasnt worked as the transform is done code side and as I have .SetFirstResult() and .SetMaxResults() for paging purposes it wont work. 2) .SetProjection( Projections.Distinct( Projections.ProjectionList() .Add(Projections.Alias(Projections.Property("Id"), "Id")) ... .SetResultTransformer(Transformers.AliasToBean()); This hasn't worked as I cannot seem to populate a value for Medias.Id in the projections. (Similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1036116/nhibernate-criteria-api-projections) Any help would be greatly appreciated

• Network Logon Issues with Group Policy and Network

  I am gravely in need of your help and assistance. We have a problem with our logon and startup to our Windows 7 Enterprise system. We have more than 3000 Windows Desktops situated in roughly 20+ buildings around campus. Almost every computer on campus has the problem that I will be describing. I have spent over one month peering over etl files from Windows Performance Analyzer (A great product) and hundreds of thousands of event logs. I come to you today humbled that I could not figure this out. The problem as simply put our logon times are extremely long. An average first time logon is roughly 2-10 minutes depending on the software installed. All computers are Windows 7, the oldest computers being 5 years old. Startup times on various computers range from good (1-2 minutes) to very bad (5-60). Our second time logons range from 30 seconds to 4 minutes. We have a gigabit connection between each computer on the network. We have 5 domain controllers which also double as our DNS servers. Initial testing led us to believe that this was a software problem. So I spent a few days testing machines only to find inconsistent results from the etl files from xperfview. Each subset of computers on campus had a different subset of software issues, none seeming to interfere with logon just startup. So I started looking at our group policy and located some very interesting event ID’s. Group Policy 1129: The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. Group Policy 1055: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the computer name. This could be caused by one of more of the following: a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller. b) Active Directory Replication Latency (an account created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller). NETLOGON 5719 : This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain OURDOMAIN due to the following: There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator. E1kexpress 27: Intel®82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection – Network link is disconnected. NetBT 4300 – The driver could not be created. WMI 10 - Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected. More or less with timestamps it becomes apparent that the network maybe the issue. 1:25:57 - Group Policy is trying to discover the domain controller information 1:25:57 - The network link has been disconnected 1:25:58 - The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. This may be a transient condition. A success message would be generated once the machine gets connected to the domain controller and Group Policy has successfully processed. If you do not see a success message for several hours, then contact your administrator. 1:25:58 - Making LDAP calls to connect and bind to active directory.   Hi, I have a gridview with some imagebuttons, each of which kicks off a report page for that item. The report take 10-15 seconds to run, so I'd like a popup 'Generating report, please wait' type thing. I can think of a few ways but would like the opinion of those more experienced than I. The options I was considering: a) link my imagebutton to an intermediate page that says 'please wait', and then refer it onto the report page from there. Seems a bit clunky b) Investigate using jquery or similar. I have telerik controls, they have a few things but it isn't clear if any are suitable. c) Define some kind of CSS layer with a please wait warning on it, and make it visible as part of the button's onclick event d) Look into jquery or similar Any thoughts? I've tried putting takePicture in a timer and running it a few seconds after camera initialization to check for race conditions, but no change. Just calling Camera.open() doesn't cause the crash. • Validating ModelChoiceField in Django forms

  I'm trying to validate a form containing a ModelChoiceField: state = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=State.objects.all(), empty_label=None) When it is used in normal circumstances, everything goes just fine. But I'd like to protect the form from the invalid input. It's pretty obvious that I must get forms.ValidationError when I put invalid value in this field, isn't it? But if I try to submit a form with a value 'invalid' in 'state' field, I get ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'invalid' and not the expected forms.ValidationError. What should I do? I tried to place a def clean_state(self) to check this field but that didn't work plus I don't think this is a good solution, there must be something more simple but I just missed that.

  I have a project I'm working on and this seems like the simplest thing in the world, but the +[NSURL fileURLWithPath:] factory method is returning a strange URL. I created an empty sample project to isolate the problem and in my app delegate's applicationDidFinishLaunching: method I have this simple code: NSString *path = [@"~/Documents" stringByExpandingTildeInPath]; NSURL *url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path]; NSLog(@"%@ | %@", path, url); and the NSLog result looks like this: /Users/myusername/Documents | file://localhost/Users/myusername/Documents/ when I would expect the URL to be file:///Users/myusername/Documents. I have 10 AS3 classes that are object related between them and some inherit or implement interfaces. The only problem here is how to interact 100% OOP with my model.   Hi, I have a list of duplicate numbers: Enumerable.Range(1,3).Select(o => Enumerable.Repeat(o, 3)).SelectMany(o => o) // {1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,3} I group them and get quantity of occurance: Enumerable.Range(1,3).Select(o => Enumerable.Repeat(o, 3)).SelectMany(o => o) .GroupBy(o => o).Select(o => new { Qty = o.Count(), Num = o.Key }) Qty Num 3 1 3 2 3 3 What I really need is to limit the quantity per group to some number. If the limit is 2 the result for the above grouping would be: Qty Num 2 1 1 1 2 2 1 2 2 3 1 3 So, if Qty = 10 and limit is 4, the result is 3 rows (4, 4, 2). The Qty of each number is not equal like in example. The specified Qty limit is the same for whole list (doesn't differ based on number). Thanks
