How does annotations works specifically with Spring framework ? Can annotations be used outside Spring Framework or are they Framework specific ? Set No. 2: What module of Spring Framework is widely used in Industry ? I think it is Spring MVC but why it is the most used module, if am correct or correct me on this ? • Strange client's address returned throug accept(..) function.

Here's a snippet: struct sockaddr_storage client_addr; ... client_addr_size = sizeof(client_addr); client_socket = accept( server_socket, (struct sockaddr *)&client_addr, &client_addr_size ); ... result = inet_ntop( AF_INET, &((struct sockaddr_in *)&client_addr)->sin_addr, client_addr_str, sizeof(client_addr_str) ); Whenever the client connects the address I get is 0.0.0.0 regardless from the host. Can anybody explain, what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

  Hi, I'm new to android but I've been working my way through the tutoials. Still trying to get my head round layouts in a non-html world and was wondering how to achieve the following.... 1) I'd like to set a tiled background to fill the screen behind the whole activity 2) I'd like to place a graphic and a button underneath it centred in the middle of the screen. 3) When the user clicks the button I'd like to start a new activity and presumably I have to do something to the current activity so the user can use the back button to get back to it.   I'm no newbie to programming, but I'm making the move to a career in web development, and I've noticed that so many job postings have different combinations of skill requirements: (PHP, C#, XML, XHTML/CSS, ASP, .NET, jQuery, YUI, Joomla, Ruby, Perl, Python, Java, Javascript... the list goes on.) As of now, I've started learning XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and mySQL, but with so many combinations, I want to plan ahead to have a marketable combination of skills as early on as possible.   I see the savepath has no value but does it default to something? Are the other values OK? I have access to the server and PHP files but how and what do I change? The specific issue - On page 1: session_start(); $_SESSION['uType']=$row['usertype']; //save user type to session print_r($_SESSION); //Prints the user type successfully On page 2: session_start(); print_r($_SESSION); //BLANK?? Observed: Page 1 displays the session data. However, there are NO cookies created anywhere on the browser? Page 1 does a require to display page 2. Page 2 does not contain the session data. Using FireFox as the target browser (looking at cookies with web developer add-in) How do I get the session to work across all pages? Thank You and yes I am a newbie at this.

• Which rdfa parser for java that supports currently used rdfa attributes?

  I am building an app in Java using Jena for semantic information scraping. I am looking for a RDFa parser that would allow me to correctly extract all the rdfa statements. Specifically, one that extracts info about namespaces used and presuming that rdfa tags are correct in the page produces correct triples, ones that distinguish between object and data properties. I went through all rdfa parsers from the site http://rdfa.info/wiki/Consume for Java. They all struggle to extract any rdfa statements and if they do not crash, Jena RDFa parser shows plenty of errors and then dies a terrible death, the data is of little use as it is incorrectly processed and generally mixed up. I am newbie in this area so please be gentle:) I was also thinking of using a library written in different language but then again I don't really know how to plug it into Java code. Any suggestions?

Please help if you can. Given 2 tuples with values [2,4,1] and [2,2,5] and fields 'a','b' and 'c' and doing an average on field 'b' should return '3'.   Supose we have a very simple model: Station has at least one Train Train has at least two Stations The model has to allow to check what stations any given train visits and to check what trains visit a particular station. How to model it in Haskell? I am a Haskell newbie, so please correct me: once an object is created, you cannot modify it - you can only make a new object based on that one (~immutability). Am I right? If so, I'll have to create a lot of temporary variables with semi-initialized objects (during deserialization or even in unit tests). Basically what I need is an example of modeling domain classes in Haskell - after reading "Learn you a haskell.." I still have no idea how to use this language.

  I'm a newbie to the SVG world, just started experimenting today. I'm trying to create a mobile site where the primary graphics are all scalable, thus supporting all display resolutions. I created an svg file for my input (currently type="image"), and suprisingly the results are as expected in my code editor (Coda). In testing (mobile Safari, DT Safari and DT FF), the input displays broken image path placeholder (the oath is correct because I can right-click to download the file). • How do I make PyScripter work? Says it cant find python26.dll

  I installed PyScript to try it out but it just wont start. It only gives me the error: "Error126: Could not open Dll "python26.dll" followed by: "Python could not be properly initialized. We must quit." I think this may have something to do with the PYTHONPATH but since I'm a newbie and dont know what it is or exactly what to put in the PYTHONPATH, after some googling, I ask here. Also, when I tried to install wxPython it was impossible becouse the PYTHONPATH could not be found.(Just a side note) I have installed ActivePython 2.6 and the PATH is set so I can access python in cmd.

• Calculating terrain height in 3d-space

  Hi I'm diving into 3d programming a bit and am currently learning by writing a procedural terrain generator that generates terrain based on a heightmap. I would also want to implement some physics and my first attempt at terrain collision was by simply checking the current position vs the heightmap. This however wont work well against small objects as you'd have to calculate the height by taking the heightdifference of the nearest vertices of the object and doing this every colision check is pretty slow. Beleive me I tried googling for it but there's simply so much crap and millions of blogs posting ripped-of newbie tutorials everywhere with basically no real information on the subject, I can't find anything that explains it or even names any generally used techniques. I'm not asking for code or a complete solution, but if anyone knows a particular technique good for calculating a high-res heightmap out of the already generated and smoothed terrain I would be very happy as I could look into it further when I know what I'm looking for. • Can I find out which thread is running using Eclipse?

  I close my application by pressing a "Close" button. But in the Eclipse I see a red square indicating that something is still running. When I press this red square, I kill my application completely. Is it possible to find out what is still running (which method, which loop) using Eclipse? P.S. I am a newbie. So, it would be nice to have a simple solution. I also might not understand your answer if you use "technical" words which I do not know.

  Hi, I am a newbie at Blackberry development. I have Eclipse 3.5.1 and Blackberry JRE 4.7.0. In my application, I added 2 external jars to my project and a properties file. I do not know for sure whether the jars I am trying to add and the webservices I am calling are compatible with Blackberry. I have to test that too. When I tried running my project, I get - "Project has verification Error". Is it because I did not add the external jars correctly? Or is it because the jars may not be compatible with Blackberry?

  Hi, I'm trying to build a Spring server for GWT (you can think of it as of Javascript AJAX client). But I can't decide on one point of architecture. How should session be created and used? The obvious easiest way - is to use HTTP sessions (cookies and stuff). Looks fine, but I think that sending session ID separate from the headers would be better (SOAP style). So, what is better: getMyPetsName(String sessionID, int petID) or getMyPetsName(int petID) + session ID through HTTP header (cookies or something). Another question is, if I use the first way (which I like more) - how do I handle session in Spring? I'm really newbie in Spring, and googling did not help. What I mean is: String getMyPetsName(String sessionID, int petID) { Session s = someWayToGetItById(sessionID); } Thanks in advance.

  Hi, First thing I would say is that I am a Drupal newbie. So, I would appreciate your answer in a detailed step by step process. I am using Drupal 6 and location module. There are two main content types - user profile (using content profile module) and event content type. Both have one field for location. Now, lets suppose in his profile, user is selecting city as Toronto and province as Ontario. And some events have been added for Toronto city. I need one Views, which will display events from user city. So, if user is from Vancouver, and they click on "my city events", they will see list of events from their city. Someone told me that I can achieve this using arguments/ relationships, but I don't know how to do that. Can someone please help me out? I am not good at PHP either :(

• How do I modify the -encoding argument to javac in the Android Ant build system

  Apologies if this is a stupid question - I'm an Android and Ant newbie. I have utf8 encoded source files that I need to compile with the Android Ant build system. By default, the encoding is set to ascii. I'd be very grateful for a pointer to whatever I need to do to let the build system know that my files are utf8.   I'm going to say upfront, please forgive me. I'm a newbie to android development and fairly new to programming. Also on a Mac. You're going to have to talk...real...slow. I can't get an AVD to load. I've tried it from Eclipse and from the Android SDK Manager. Failed multiple times. Received the same error each time, "Failed to parse properties from Users/myname/.android/avd/nameIGaveEmulator/config.ini." I've the forum here and saw that others have had similar problems, but of the answers given, no one came back to say if they worked, and I don't see anyone with a similar problem on a Mac. If the path needs to be "changed" what exactly does that mean and how do I go about doing so?

  I have just installed a network simulator program called ns-2 and I am trying to familiarize myself with it by going through the tutorial by Marc Greis.   Hey All Let me explain you the scenario upto now.. Been a newbie to Joomla I managed to build my own website using Joomla CMS in my computers localhost. Then after the completion of the site, I wanted to upload my Local Joomla Site to a GoDaddy Server / Hosting Account.. Thanks to Google I found the below mentioned tutorial, http://zensamarketing.com/2009/07/how-to-use-joomlapack-and-kickstart-to-upload-your-local-joomla-site-to-a-godaddy-server-hosting-account/ So far I completed up to the 7th step, But I'm stuck at the step 08. I'm using Filezilla as my FTP client, Using that I uploaded the files as per the guided on step 07 and when I try to access www.mysitename.com/kickstart.php, it is giving me the below error, Forbidden You don't have permission to access /kickstart.php on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. How can I set permission... Please explain in a non technical way..
