  Following exception is thrown every once in a while and it shows up in localhost log file in tomcat log directory. If anyone know how to get rid of it, all help would be appreciated. BTW the filter is working fine I just don't know why this exception is happening. The reason for integrating this filter comes from Spring security FAQs: I'm using Tomcat (or some other servlet container) and have enabled HTTPS for my login page, switching back to HTTP afterwards. It doesn't work - I just end up back at the login page after authenticating. This happens because sessions created under HTTPS, for which the session cookie is marked as “secure”, cannot subsequently be used under HTTP. The browser will not send the cookie back to the server and any session state will be lost (including the security context information). Starting a session in HTTP first should work as the session cookie won't be marked as secure.

• How do I make my custom Swing component visible?

  I have no idea why it won't show. First I create an instance of the component and then add it to a certain element in a two-dimensional JPanel array. Then I loop through that array and add each JPanel to another JPanel container which is to hold all the JPanels. • Why does every thread in my application use a different hibernate session?

  Hi, I have a web-application which uses hibernate and for some reason every thread (httprequest or other threads related to queueing) uses a different session. Now from my testing it seems that the threadLocal member is indeed initialized only once when the class is first loaded by the JVM but for some reason when different threads access the getSession() method they use different sessions. When a thread first accesses this class (Session) threadLocal.get(); will return null but as expected all other access requests will yeild the same session. I'm not sure how this can be happening as the threadLocal variable is final and the method threadLocal.set(session) is only used in the above context (which I'm 99.9% sure has to yeild a non null session as I would have encountered a NullPointerException at a different part of my app).   Hi All, I followed OJ's instructions here This allowed me to successfully breakdown, then rebuild and sign some 3rd party DLLs. Here's what I did: Dissassembled Old.dll Rebuild and signed as New.dll (using the same *.snk that my VS2005 proj is signed with) Removed all references in my proj to Old.dll and added references to New.dll Replaced 'Imports Old.dll' with 'Imports New.dll' this final step fails. VS2005 won't recognise my New.dll Any clues?

• What is the purpose of Finalization in java?

  Different websites are giving different opinions. My understanding is this: To clean up or reclaim the memory that an object occupies, the Garbage collector comes into action. (automatically is invoked???) The garbage collector then dereferences the object. Sometimes, there is no way for the garbage collector to access the object. Then finalize is invoked to do a final clean up processing after which the garbage collector can be invoked. is this right?

Then i generate another file and save it to the same location. This file can be downloaded by the user. But if an actual user would be using my application, where should the location point to?   Hello everybody, I have two nested lists of different sizes: A = [[1, 7, 3, 5], [5, 5, 14, 10]] B = [[1, 17, 3, 5], [1487, 34, 14, 74], [1487, 34, 3, 87], [141, 25, 14, 10]] I'd like to gather all nested lists from list B if A[2:4] == B[2:4] and put it into list L: L = [[1, 17, 3, 5], [141, 25, 14, 10]] Additionally if the match occurs then I want to change last element of sublist B into first element of sublist A so the final solution would look like this: L1 = [[1, 17, 3, 1], [141, 25, 14, 5]]
