    Hi there! For some reason i cant test my apps on a real iphone anymore. My license is valid the device has a profile, but something just doesn't seem to work... I think i'm doing something wrong but i don't know what exactly... the App Id, the Profile?? Can you please list me all the steps of testing an app? before i could do it myself but now i just don't get it anymore... Any ideas or suggestions?

  • user buffer after doing 'write' to file opened with O_DIRECT

    I'm using the O_DIRECT flag to write to the disk directly from the user buffer. But as far as I understand, Linux doesn't guarantee that after this call, the data is written. It just writes directly from the user buffer to the physical device using DMA or anything else... Therefore, I don't understand if I can write to the user buffer after the call to 'write' function. I'm sure that example code will help to understand my question: char *user_buff = malloc(...); /* assume it is aligned as needed */ fd = open(..., O_DIRECT); write(fd, ...) memset(user_buff, 0, ...) Is the last line (memset) legal? Is writing to the user buffer valid that is maybe used by DMA to transfer data to the device?

  • Normalized Device Coordinates to window coordinates

    I just read some stuff about the theory behind 3d graphics. As I understand it, normalized device coordinates (NDC) are coordinates that describe a point in the interval from -1 to 1 on both the horizontal and vertical axis. On the other hand window coordinates describe a point somewhere between (0,0) and (width,height) of the window. So my formula to convert a point from the NDC coordinate system to the window system would be xwin = width + xndc * 0.5 * width ywin = height + ynfv * 0.5 * height The problem now is that in the OpenGL documentation for glViewport there is an other formula: xwin = ( xndc + 1 ) * width * 0.5 + x ywin = ( yndc + 1 ) * height * 0.5 + y Now I'm wondering what I am getting wrong. Especially I'm wondering what the additional "x" and "y" mean. Hope the question isn't too "not programming related", but I thought somehow it is related to graphics programming.

    I need to install a certificate on a Windows Mobile device. I have tried creating a cab file to do it, but the cab file fails to run. I have a lot of devices that are not all physically near me that I am going to need to put this on, so any manual process is just not feasible (ie, if it needs active sync then it is not going to work). Any ideas on how to do this? Visual Studio does not seem to support what I am trying to do.

    The internal side of my ISP router has three devices: ISP router 128.128.43.1 Firewall router 128.128.43.2 Server 128.128.43.3 Behind the Firewall router is a NAT network using 192.168.100.n/24 This question is regarding iptables running on the Server. I wanted to allow access to port 8080 only from the NAT clients behind the Firewall router, so I used this rule -A Firewall-1-INPUT -s 192.168.100.0/24 -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 8080 -j ACCEPT This worked, but UNEXPECTEDLY ALLOWED GLOBAL ACCESS, which resulted in our JBOSS server getting compromised. I now know that the correct rule is to use the Firewall router's address instead of the internal network, but can anyone explain why the first rule allowed global access? I would have expected it to just fail.   • Have an Input/output error when connecting to a server via ssh

    Hello I seem to be having a problem while connecting to a Ubuntu Server while connecting via ssh. When I login, I get this error. Could not chdir to home directory /home/username: Input/output error It seems like my home folder is corrupt or something. I cannot ls in the home folder directory, and in my usename directory, I can't cd into this. As root I cannot ls in the home directory as well or in any directory in Home. I notice as well when I save in vim or quit, it get this error at the bottom of the page E138: Cannot write viminfo file /home/root/.viminfo! Any ideas?   • Excel Help: Data Input Help

    Everyday I download data from a site that will have rows each filled with individual data for clients. I'm able to input the data into excel as a whole but after that I'm having trouble figuring out how to put it into a chart. For example Web visits time. So say Client 1 stayed for 5 min increasing his total time on the site to 20 min and Client 2 stayed for 0 min keeping his time of 10 min and they were both registered on new years eve, and R1's last login was today and R2's was yesterday. (R for some reason repersents Client, no idea why...). Client 3 hasn't been on since he registered keeping his total at 4 min So my data would look something like this for Today (20110104) R1,20101231,20110104,20 R2,20101231,20110103,10 R3,20101231,20101231,4 And this for the day before (201101030), R1,20101231,20110102,15 R2,20101231,20110103,10 R3,20101231,20101231,4 I get about 200+ client rows each day where even the names of the Client list are changing. Is it possible to import the data each day and fill it in a excel sheet where the Client number is off on the left hand side in a table, and the amount of time (Whole Number ex. 4) each day it spends on the site extend to the right under it's specific date see Picture? I've manage to create a manual sheet but have been unsucessful at getting excel to do any of it for me. Here are two pictures:

    I am running out of ideas. After a long period of testing this morning, I cannot seem to get this to work, and I have no idea why. I want to mount a Windows SMB/CIFS share with a Debian 5.0.4 VM, and it is not cooperating. I receive no authentication errors. I have tried mount -t smbfs and mount -t cifs, along with smbmount and such. I get the same error before. I doubt it is a problem with DNS resolution, because logging shows the correct IP address. dmesg | tail -f no longer shows authentication errors when I format the domain and username accordingly. I have played a little with iocharset=utf8, file_mode, and dir_mode as described here. That did not help either. I have also tried ntlm and ntlmv2 assuming it might be a minimum auth method problem, but not forcing sec=ntlmv2 it can still authenticate without errors anymore. smbclient -L hostname.domain.tld -W SUBADDOMAIN.ADDOMAIN.DOMAIN.TLD -U username correctly lists all the shares and shows it as the following.   • Bonnie does not provide speed for Sequential Input / Block

    I'm using ProxmoxVE and I would like to run some benchmarks regarding performances of this product. One of these benchmarks is bonnie++ ; it runs very well in a VM (qemu-kvm) but when I run it in a conainer (openVZ), it does not provide me reading speed (only writing). I don't understand why...     Im trying to add a forward to the mysql server at 200.58.126.52 to allow the access from 200.58.125.39, and Im using the following rules (its my whole iptables of the VPS of my hosting). I can connect locally at the server that holds the mysql service as localhost, but not from outside. Can someone check if the following rules are fine?     I have a running Debian Wheezy setup I copied exactly to an Ubuntu 12.04 ( elementary OS, used as desktop as well ) While the Debian setup runs flawlessly, the Ubuntu version dies on the prerouting to containers ( or so it seems ) In short: lxc works containers work and run connecting to container from host OK ( including mixed ports & services ) connecting to outside world from container is fine What does not work is connecting from another box to the host on a port that should be NATed to a container. I don't know how to read these hidden param values from response and pass in to CAS server. Without passing these hidden params I am not able to login.     I'm attempting to use tslib with DirectFB on the gumstix Overo. Everything seems to be compiled correctly, as when DirectFB starts up, I get messages saying "Started 'tslib Input' ... DirectFB/Input: tslib touchscreen 0 0.1 (tslib)" etc. However, I haven't been able to find any example code showing how one reads the X-Y coordinates of a touchscreen press. Is there any example code out there to initialize the touchscreen and return the coordinates of a touchscreen press? Thanks in advance, Ben
