  • Is there a way to allow a property of a user control to be modified only during design time?

    - by Dan
I've looked into the DesignOnly attribute, but that doesn't seem to accomplish what I want*. Basically, I'm looking for some way to indicate that some property of a user control (let's say Text) can be modified during design time -- i.e., from the Windows Forms designer in VS (or presumably from any GUI designer that can be used to modify a Windows Forms GUI) -- but not during run time. Once the application is running, the property should effectively be readonly. Is this possible? * When I add the DesignOnly attribute to a property, the value I select for that property from design mode doesn't seem to stick; the property just ends up being whatever I have it set to by default in code.

  • Is it possible to have a Shared/Static Dependency Property?

    - by Matt H.
[using VB.NET, but I can easily read C# code in responses] I have a class called QuestionClipboard with ALL shared methods/properties. I previously had a QuesitonClipboard.doesClipboardHaveContent function that returned true/false if there was a Object on my 'clipboard'. I'd prefer to implement a Dependency Property so I can allow this true/false value to participate in data binding. The "GetValue(dp as DependencyProperty)" method requires an object instance, which would mean that my Property CAN'T be shared! Here is what the code would look like in my perfect world... Of course, the word "Shared" before the property declaration renders this code useless. Private Shared clipboardHasContentPropertyKey As DependencyPropertyKey = DependencyProperty.RegisterReadOnly("clipboardHasContent", GetType(Boolean), GetType(QuestionClipboard), _ New PropertyMetadata(False, Nothing, New CoerceValueCallback(AddressOf coerceClipboardHasContent))) Private Shared clipboardHasContentProperty As DependencyProperty = clipboardHasContentPropertyKey.DependencyProperty Public SHARED Property clipboardHasContent As Boolean Get Return GetValue(clipboardHasContentProperty) End Get Set(ByVal value As Boolean) SetValue(value) End Set End Property

  • How do I get the WinForm Designer to totally ignore a property on a custom control?

    - by Ian Ringrose
This must be a FAQ, but I can’t find a duplicate question! There are lot of different attributes that control what the WinForm Designer does with properties on a custom control, I am never clear on the one I should use in this case. I am looking for: Designer does not show property in grid Designer does not read value of property Designer does not set property to default value E.g. Designer behaves as if the property was not there. Designer does not complain if it has already done one of the above before the attributes were added (hard!) Background. The code that is giving me the problem is: this.eventListControl.FilterSets = ((SystList<FilterSet>)(resources.GetObject("eventListControl.FilterSets"))); The FilterSets property should never have been touched by the winforms designer; it is now not Serializable and MsDev falls over every time a form that used the eventListControl is changed!

  • AppEngine: Can I write a Dynamic property (db.Expando) with a name chosen at runtime?

    - by MarcoB
If I have an entity derived from db.Expando I can write Dynamic property by just assigning a value to a new property, e.g. "y" in this example: class MyEntity(db.Expando): x = db.IntegerProperty() my_entity = MyEntity(x=1) my_entity.y = 2 But suppose I have the name of the dynamic property in a variable... how can I (1) read and write to it, and (2) check if the Dynamic variable exists in the entity's instance? e.g. class MyEntity(db.Expando): x = db.IntegerProperty() my_entity = MyEntity(x=1) # choose a var name: var_name = "z" # assign a value to the Dynamic variable whose name is in var_name: my_entity.property_by_name[var_name] = 2 # also, check if such a property esists if my_entity.property_exists(var_name): # read the value of the Dynamic property whose name is in var_name print my_entity.property_by_name[var_name] Thanks...

  • How to get and modify a property value through a custom Attribute?

    - by David G
    I want to create a custom attribute that can be used on a property like: [TrimInputString] public string FirstName { get; set; } that will be functional equivalent of private string _firstName public string FirstName { set { _firstName = value.Trim(); } get { return _firstName; } } So basically every time property is set the value will be trimmed. How do I get the value parsed, modify that value and then set the property with the new value all from within the attribute? [AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Property)] public class TrimInputAttribute : Attribute { public TrimInputAttribute() { //not sure how to get and modify the property here } }

  • Is it possible to apply NOT(!) operator while DataBinding a property of a control ?

    - by Ashish Ashu
I have Button control and I have to set the IsEanbled property based on the bool variable. bool IsBoolVariable I want if IsBoolVariable property is true then I want to set the IsEnabled property to false AND when IsBoolVariable property is false then I want to set the IsEnabled property to true. Is it possible to apply not(!) operator while defining the binding as given below <Button IsEnabled = "{Binding Path = **!**IsBoolVariable}" /> I can very well do that by applying convertors , but that is the only way to do that?

  • Play a sound based on the button pressed on the IPhone/xcode.

    - by slickplaid
I'm trying to play a sound based on which button is pressed using AVAudioPlayer. (This is not a soundboard or fart app.) I have linked all buttons using this code in the header file: @interface appViewController : UIViewController <AVAudioPlayerDelegate> { AVAudioPlayer *player; UIButton *C4; UIButton *Bb4; UIButton *B4; UIButton *A4; UIButton *Ab4; UIButton *As4; UIButton *G3; UIButton *Gb3; UIButton *Gs3; UIButton *F3; UIButton *Fs3; UIButton *E3; UIButton *Eb3; UIButton *D3; UIButton *Db3; UIButton *Ds3; UIButton *C3; UIButton *Cs3; } @property (nonatomic, retain) AVAudioPlayer *player; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *C4; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *B4; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Bb4; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *A4; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Ab4; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *As4; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *G3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Gb3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Gs3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *F3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Fs3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *E3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Eb3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *D3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Db3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Ds3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *C3; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIButton *Cs3; - (IBAction) playNote; @end Buttons are all linked to the event "playNote" in interfaceBuilder and each note is linked to the proper referencing outlet according to note name. All *.mp3 sound files are named after the UIButton name (IE- C3 == C3.mp3). In my implementation file, I have this to play a only one note when the C3 button is pressed: #import "sonicfitViewController.h" @implementation appViewController @synthesize C3, Cs3, D3, Ds3, Db3, E3, Eb3, F3, Fs3, G3, Gs3, A4, Ab4, As4, B4, Bb4, C4; // Implement viewDidLoad to do additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. - (void)viewDidLoad { NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"3C" ofType:@"mp3"]; NSLog(@"path: %@", path); NSURL *file = [[NSURL alloc] initFileURLWithPath:path]; AVAudioPlayer *p = [[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:file error:nil]; [file release]; self.player = p; [p release]; [player prepareToPlay]; [player setDelegate:self]; [super viewDidLoad]; } - (IBAction) playNote { [self.player play]; } Now, with the above I have two issues: First, the NSLog reports NULL and crashes when trying to play the file. I have added the mp3's to the resources folder and they have been copied and not just linked. They are not in an subfolder under the resources folder. Secondly, how can I set it up so that when say button C3 is pressed, it plays C3.mp3 and F3 plays F3.mp3 without writing duplicate lines of code for each different button? playNote should be like NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:nameOfButton ofType:@"mp3"]; instead of defining it specifically (@"C3"). Is there a better way of doing this and why does the *path report NULL and crash when I load the app? I'm pretty sure it's something as simple as adding additional variable inputs to - (IBAction) playNote:buttonName and putting all the code to call AVAudioPlayer in the playNote function but I'm unsure of the code to do this.

  • How do I detect and handle collisions using a tile property with Slick2D?

    - by oracleCreeper
I am trying to set up collision detection in Slick2D based on a tilemap. I currently have two layers on the maps I'm using, a background layer, and a collision layer. The collision layer has a tile with a 'blocked' property, painted over the areas the player can't walk on. I have looked through the Slick documentation, but do not understand how to read a tile property and use it as a flag for collision detection. My method of 'moving' the player is somewhat different, and might affect how collisions are handled. Instead of updating the player's location on the window, the player always stays in the same spot, updating the x and y the map is rendered at. I am working on collisions with objects by restricting the player's movement when its hitbox intersects an object's hitbox. The code for the player hitting the right side of an object, for example, would look like this: if(Player.bounds.intersects(object.bounds)&&(Player.x<=(object.x+object.width+0.5))&&Player.isMovingLeft){ isInCollision=true; level.moveMapRight(); } else if(Player.bounds.intersects(object.bounds)&&(Player.x<=(object.x+object.width+0.5))&&Player.isMovingRight){ isInCollision=true; level.moveMapRight(); } else if(Player.bounds.intersects(object.bounds)&&(Player.x<=(object.x+object.width+0.5))&&Player.isMovingUp){ isInCollision=true; level.moveMapRight(); } else if(Player.bounds.intersects(object.bounds)&&(Player.x<=(object.x+object.width+0.5))&&Player.isMovingDown){ isInCollision=true; level.moveMapRight(); } and in the level's update code: if(!Player.isInCollision) Player.manageMovementInput(map, i); However, this method still has some errors. For example, when hitting the object from the right, the player will move up and to the left, clipping through the object and becoming stuck inside its hitbox. If there is a more effective way of handling this, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Submitting software to a competition, it becomes their property?

    - by myrkos
So I'm about to submit a game to a competition, but as I looked through the rules a chunk grabbed my attention: All Entries become the sole and exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor shall own all right, title and interest in and to each Entry, including without limitation all results and proceeds thereof and all elements or constituent parts of Entry (including without limitation the Mobile App, the Design Documents, the Video Trailer, the Playable and all illustrations, logos, mechanicals, renderings, characters, graphics, designs, layouts or other material therein) and all copyrights and renewals and extensions of copyrights therein and thereto. Without limitation of the foregoing, each Eligible Entrant shall and hereby does absolutely and irrevocably assign and transfer all of his or her right, title and interest in his or her Entry to Sponsor, and Sponsor shall have the right and may authorize others to use, copy, sublicense, transmit, modify, manipulate, publish, delete, reproduce, perform, distribute, display and otherwise exploit the Entry (and to create and exploit derivative works thereof) in any manner, including without limitation to embody the Entry, in whole or in part, in apps and other works of any kind or nature created, developed, published or distributed by Sponsor and to and register as a trademark in any country in Sponsor’s name any component of the Entry, without such Eligible Entrant reserving any rights or claims with respect thereto. Sponsor shall have the exclusive right, in perpetuity, throughout the Territory to change, adapt, modify, use, combine with other material and otherwise exploit the Entry in all media now known or hereafter devised and in any manner, in its sole and absolute discretion, without the need for any payment or credit to Entrant. So the game will become the sponsor's property; however, they don't ask for source code. So will I still own the rights to the source code, whatever that means? And if it doesn't win said competition, will I be able to publish it myself without their trademarks? I am very new to software legality stuff, so I would appreciate any clarification. Since there's a possibility I won't even own the source, is it possible to make the game core engine open source software with a not-very-restrictive license and include that in the project, so I at least still own the game engine? Or does it not work that way?

  • Silverlight MVVM Confusion: Updating Image Based on State

    - by senfo
    I'm developing a Silverlight application and I'm trying to stick to the MVVM principals, but I'm running into some problems changing the source of an image based on the state of a property in the ViewModel. For all intents and purposes, you can think of the functionality I'm implementing as a play/pause button for an audio app. When in the "Play" mode, IsActive is true in the ViewModel and the "Pause.png" image on the button should be displayed. When paused, IsActive is false in the ViewModel and "Play.png" is displayed on the button. Naturally, there are two additional images to handle when the mouse hovers over the button. I thought I could use a Style Trigger, but apparently they're not supported in Silverlight. I've been reviewing a forum post with a question similar to mine where it's suggested to use the VisualStateManager. While this might help with changing the image for hover/normal states, the part missing (or I'm not understanding) is how this would work with a state set via the view model. The post seems to apply only to events rather than properties of the view model. Having said that, I also haven't successfully completed the normal/hover affects, either. Below is my Silverlight 4 XAML. It should also probably be noted I'm working with MVVM Light. <UserControl x:Class="Foo.Bar.MyUserControl" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:i="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Interactivity;assembly=System.Windows.Interactivity" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="100" d:DesignWidth="200"> <UserControl.Resources> <Style x:Key="MyButtonStyle" TargetType="Button"> <Setter Property="IsEnabled" Value="true"/> <Setter Property="IsTabStop" Value="true"/> <Setter Property="Background" Value="#FFA9A9A9"/> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="#FF000000"/> <Setter Property="MinWidth" Value="5"/> <Setter Property="MinHeight" Value="5"/> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="0"/> <Setter Property="HorizontalAlignment" Value="Left" /> <Setter Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="VerticalAlignment" Value="Top" /> <Setter Property="VerticalContentAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="Cursor" Value="Hand"/> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="Button"> <Grid> <Image Source="/Foo.Bar;component/Resources/Icons/Bar/Play.png"> <VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <VisualStateGroup x:Name="Active"> <VisualState x:Name="MouseOver"> <Storyboard> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="Source" Storyboard.TargetName="/Foo.Bar;component/Resources/Icons/Bar/Play_Hover.png" /> </Storyboard> </VisualState> </VisualStateGroup> </VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> </Image> </Grid> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </UserControl.Resources> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <Button Style="{StaticResource MyButtonStyle}" Command="{Binding ChangeStatus}" Height="30" Width="30" /> </Grid> </UserControl> What is the proper way to update images on buttons with the state determined by the view model? Update I changed my Button to a ToggleButton hoping I could use the Checked state to differentiate between play/pause. I practically have it, but I ran into one additional problem. I need to account for two states at the same time. For example, Checked Normal/Hover and Unchecked Normal/Hover. Following is my updated XAML: <UserControl x:Class="Foo.Bar.MyUserControl" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:i="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Interactivity;assembly=System.Windows.Interactivity" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="100" d:DesignWidth="200"> <UserControl.Resources> <Style x:Key="MyButtonStyle" TargetType="ToggleButton"> <Setter Property="IsEnabled" Value="true"/> <Setter Property="IsTabStop" Value="true"/> <Setter Property="Background" Value="#FFA9A9A9"/> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="#FF000000"/> <Setter Property="MinWidth" Value="5"/> <Setter Property="MinHeight" Value="5"/> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="0"/> <Setter Property="HorizontalAlignment" Value="Left" /> <Setter Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="VerticalAlignment" Value="Top" /> <Setter Property="VerticalContentAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="Cursor" Value="Hand"/> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="ToggleButton"> <Grid> <VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <VisualStateGroup x:Name="CommonStates"> <VisualState x:Name="Normal"> <Storyboard> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" Storyboard.TargetName="Pause"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Collapsed</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard> </VisualState> <VisualState x:Name="MouseOver"> <Storyboard> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" Storyboard.TargetName="PlayHover"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Visible</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" Storyboard.TargetName="Play"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Collapsed</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard> </VisualState> </VisualStateGroup> <VisualStateGroup x:Name="CheckStates"> <VisualState x:Name="Checked"> <Storyboard> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" Storyboard.TargetName="Pause"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Visible</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" Storyboard.TargetName="Play"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Collapsed</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" Storyboard.TargetName="PlayHover"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Collapsed</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard> </VisualState> <VisualState x:Name="Unchecked" /> </VisualStateGroup> </VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <Image x:Name="Play" Source="/Foo.Bar;component/Resources/Icons/Bar/Play.png" /> <Image x:Name="Pause" Source="/Foo.Bar;component/Resources/Icons/Bar/Pause.png" Visibility="Collapsed" /> <Image x:Name="PlayHover" Source="/Foo.Bar;component/Resources/Icons/Bar/Play_Hover.png" Visibility="Collapsed" /> <Image x:Name="PauseHover" Source="/Foo.Bar;component/Resources/Icons/Bar/Pause_Hover.png" Visibility="Collapsed" /> </Grid> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </UserControl.Resources> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <ToggleButton Style="{StaticResource MyButtonStyle}" IsChecked="{Binding IsPlaying}" Command="{Binding ChangeStatus}" Height="30" Width="30" /> </Grid> </UserControl>

  • How can I bind another DependencyProperty to the IsChecked Property of a CheckBox?

    - by speedmetal
    Here's an example of what I'm trying to accomplish: <Window x:Class="CheckBoxBinding.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525"> <StackPanel> <CheckBox Name="myCheckBox">this</CheckBox> <Grid> <Grid.Resources> <Style TargetType="ListBox"> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="{Binding ElementName=myCheckBox, Path=IsChecked}" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Red" /> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Grid.Resources> <ListBox> <ListBoxItem>item</ListBoxItem> <ListBoxItem>another</ListBoxItem> </ListBox> </Grid> </StackPanel> </Window> When I try to run it, I get this XamlParseException: A 'Binding' cannot be set on the 'Property' property of type 'Trigger'. A 'Binding' can only be set on a DependencyProperty of a DependencyObject. So how can I bind a property on the ListBox to the IsChecked property of a CheckBox?

  • SOA Suite 11g Dynamic Payload Testing with soapUI Free Edition

    - by Greg Mally
Overview Many web service developers use soapUI for various tests like: smoke test, unit test, and load testing because you can get a free edition that is fairly robust. However, if you need to venture into more complex testing that requires a dynamic payload, then the free edition doesn't necessarily make it easy. This feature does exist in soapUI, but for obvious reasons it is in the Pro version. In this blog I will show you how to use soapUI free edition for dynamic payloads in a simplified example. Hopefully this will open the doors for you to expand into more complex scenarios. The following assumes that you have a working knowledge of soapUI and will not go into concepts like setting up a project etc. For the basics, please review the documentation for soapUI: http://www.soapui.org/Getting-Started/. Additionally, we will be using asynchronous web services and you can review the setup for this in my blog: SOA Suite 11g Asynchronous Testing with soapUI. Features in soapUI Free Edition Relating to this Topic The soapUI test tool provides a very feature rich environment that can do many things provided you are willing to go beyond point and click. For this example, we will be leveraging just a couple features for our dynamic payload example: Test Case Properties Scripting with Groovy Basically, we will be using a property as a global variable and we will manipulate that property using a Groovy script. Setting Up Our Property Properties are available throughout soapUI and here is a snippet from the soapUI website defining the locations: Projects : for handling Project scope values, for example a subscription ID TestSuite : for handling TestSuite scoped values, can be seen as "arguments" to a TestSuite TestCases : for handling TestCase scoped values, can be seen as "arguments" to a TestCase Properties TestStep : for providing local values/state within a TestCase Local TestStep properties : several TestStep types maintain their own list of properties specific to their functionality : DataSource, DataSink, Run TestCase MockServices : for handling MockService scoped values/arguments MockResponses : for handling MockResponse scoped values Global Properties : for handling Global properties, optionally from an external source For our example, we will be defining a custom property in a TestCase called SimpleAsyncPayload. The property can be created in either the Custom Properties tab located at the bottom of the Navigator panel when the TestCase is selected in the Navigator or the Properties label in the TestCase editor: Navigator Panel TestCase Editor You will notice that I set a value of “0” for the custom property. For this simplified example, we will need to retrieve that value and manipulate it prior to making the web service request invocation. In order to accomplish this, we will need to get Groovy ;) Let's Get Groovy We will now add a new Groovy Script step to the TestCase called Manipulate Payload: TestCase Editor > Append Step > Groovy Script Once we have added the Groovy Script step to our TestCase, we can open the Groovy Script editor to add the code to: Get the current value of the property we created called SimpleAsyncPayload. Convert the value of the property to an integer. Increment the value. Store the incremented value back into the TestCase property called SimpleAsyncPayload. The script should look something like the following: Groovy Script Editor – Manipulate Payload At this point we can test the script to see if it is working by simply running the TestCase (left-click on the green triangle in the upper left-hand corner of the TestCase editor). To verify if it ran correctly, we can look at the value of the SimpleAsyncPayload property which should now be 1: TestCase Editor – Run Results All that is left to complete the TestCase is to append another step of type Test Request. The information required to append the request is a name and an operation to invoke. In this example we will use the default name and select the SimpleAsyncBPELProcessBingd -> process as the operation (any other information being requested, simply use the defaults unless you are calling an asynchronous operation then do not add any assertions). We are now in familiar ground with the Test Request editor. Depending upon the type of operation you are invoking (synchronous or asynchronous), please update the request with the necessary information (e.g., callback information for asynchronous operations). We will now tweak the Test Request payload to retrieve the value of the SimpleAsyncPayload property. The soapUI editor makes this very simple: right-click in the payload and navigate to the property (e.g., right-click > Get Data.. > TestCase: [Groovy TestCase] > Property [SimpleAsyncPayload]): Test Request Editor – Insert Property Value Your payload should now look something like the following: Test Request Editor – Inserted Property Value Just like before, we are now ready to run the TestCase. If everything goes as expected we should see a response like the following: Message Viewer – Results of TestCase Run We are now setup to be able to run a stress test where the payload will change for each request. This simple example can be expanded to include multiple payload values, complex calculations in the scripts, or whatever can be done via the soapUI scripting. Hopefully you have found this useful and happy testing to you :)

  • How to deploy 2 Sharepoint page leyouts

    I have a problem to deploy two page layouts, I can deploy one page layout with no problem but if I add another one the first one gets the same layout as the newly added second page layout... Here is the XML I add to Elements.xml <File Path="masterpage\CustomLayout.aspx" Url="CustomLayout.aspx" Type="GhostableInLibrary" IgnoreIfAlreadyExists="TRUE" > <Property Name="Title" Value="CustomLayout" /> <Property Name="ContentType" Value="$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_pagelayout_name;" /> <Property Name="PublishingPreviewImage" Value="~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/CustomPageLayout.png, ~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/CustomPageLayout.png" /> <Property Name="PublishingAssociatedContentType" Value=";#$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_articlepage_name;;#0x010100C568DB52D9D0A14D9B2FDCC96666E9F2007948130EC3DB064584E219954237AF3900242457EFB8B24247815D688C526CD44D;#"/> </File> <File Path="masterpage\HomePageLayout.aspx" Url="HomePageLayout.aspx" Type="GhostableInLibrary" IgnoreIfAlreadyExists="TRUE" > <Property Name="Title" Value="HomePageLayout" /> <Property Name="ContentType" Value="$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_pagelayout_name;" /> <Property Name="PublishingPreviewImage" Value="~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/CustomPageLayout.png, ~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/CustomPageLayout.png" /> <Property Name="PublishingAssociatedContentType" Value=";#$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_articlepage_name;;#0x010100C568DB52D9D0A14D9B2FDCC96666E9F2007948130EC3DB064584E219954237AF3900242457EFB8B24247815D688C526CD44D;#"/> </File> <File Path="masterpage\masterpage.master" Url="masterpage.master" Type="GhostableInLibrary" IgnoreIfAlreadyExists="TRUE" > <Property Name="Title" Value="My Custom masterpage" /> <Property Name="ContentType" Value="$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_pagelayout_name;" /> <Property Name="PublishingPreviewImage" Value="~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/back.jpg, ~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/back.jpg" /> <Property Name="PublishingAssociatedContentType" Value=";#$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_articlepage_name;;#0x010100C568DB52D9D0A14D9B2FDCC96666E9F2007948130EC3DB064584E219954237AF3900242457EFB8B24247815D688C526CD44D;#"/> </File> <File Path="masterpage\masterpage2.master" Url="masterpage2.master" Type="GhostableInLibrary" IgnoreIfAlreadyExists="TRUE" > <Property Name="Title" Value="My Custom masterpage 2" /> <Property Name="ContentType" Value="$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_pagelayout_name;" /> <Property Name="PublishingPreviewImage" Value="~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/back.jpg, ~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/$Resources:core,Culture;/Preview Images/back.jpg" /> <Property Name="PublishingAssociatedContentType" Value=";#$Resources:cmscore,contenttype_articlepage_name;;#0x010100C568DB52D9D0A14D9B2FDCC96666E9F2007948130EC3DB064584E219954237AF3900242457EFB8B24247815D688C526CD44D;#"/> </File>

  • What is the most performant CSS property for transitioning an element?

    - by Ian Kuca
I'm wondering whether there is a performance difference between using different CSS properties to translate an element. Some properties fit different situations differently. You can translate an element with following properties: transform, top/left/right/bottom and margin-top/left/right/bottom In the case where you do not utilize the transition CSS property for the translation but use some form of a timer (setTimeout, requestAnimationFrame or setImmediate) or raw events, which is the most performant–which is going to make for higher FPS rates?

  • Is it possible for the Subversion Apache module to serve html files with an html content-type without using the svn:mime-type property?

    - by Martin Pain
I am aware that if you set the svn:mime-type Subversion property on a .html file to text/html then when viewing the file in a browser through the Subversion module in Apache httpd it will be served with a Content-Type: text/html header, enabling the browser to render it as HTML rather than plain text. However, I am looking for a way to do this without using the svn:mime-type property. I'm aware that you can configure your svn client to automatically add the property - this is not what I want, as I do not want to ensure all users have these settings. I'm also aware that I could create a pre-commit hook that rejects the commit if the properties are not set, in order to force users to set the property - I might fall back to that, but I'm looking for something less intrusive. I'm also aware that I could use a post-commit hook to add the properties automatically on the server-side. I'd rather not do that (as users then have to update immediately after their commit, and it's not trivial to write) - I'm looking for a better alternative. Perhaps something with rewrite rules in the Apache server?

  • How would you price a dynamic real estate property management website? [closed]

    - by user1217550
Imagine, hypothetically of course, that you are being commissioned to develop a full-fledged real estate website that includes: 1) a search engine with ajax/json autofill, 2) google maps and geolocation integration, google streetview, 3) user registration, login and account management 4) administrative panels to control data input 5) search results page 6) user statistics 7) property inquiry to allow internal messaging between users How much would you charge? Suppose you are developing the most advanced and specific system in PhP/MySQL, and your total development time is roughly 1500 hours? Any suggestions?

  • Can a whitespace regex character be used to perform a javascript injection? [migrated]

    - by webose
if I want to validate the input of a <textarea>, and want it to contain, for example, only numerical values, but even want to give users the possibility to insert new lines, I can selected wanted characters with a javascript regex that includes even the whitespace characters. /[0-9\s]/ The question is: do a whitecharacter can be used to perform injections, XSS,even if I think this last option is impossible, or any other type of attack ? thanks

  • 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'data'

    - by Bill Jordan
Hello guys, I am sending a SOAP request to my server and getting the response back. sample of the response string is shown below: <?xml version = '1.0' ?> <env:Envelope xmlns:env=http:////www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelop . .. .. <env:Body> <epas:get-all-config-resp xmlns:epas="urn:organization:epas:soap"> ^M ... ... <epas:property name="Tom">12</epas:property> > > <epas:property name="Alice">34</epas:property> > > <epas:property name="John">56</epas:property> > > <epas:property name="Danial">78</epas:property> > > <epas:property name="George">90</epas:property> > > <epas:property name="Luise">11</epas:property> ... ^M </env:Body? </env:Envelop> What I noticed in the response is that there is an extra character shown in the body which is "^M". Not sure if this could be the issue. Note the ^M shown! when I tried parsing the string returned from the server to get the names and values using the code sample: elements = minidom.parseString(xmldoc).getElementsByTagName("property") myDict = {} for element in elements: myDict[element.getAttribute('name')] = element.firstChild.data But, I am getting this error: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'data'. May be its something to do with the "^M" shown on the xml response back! Any ideas/comments would be appreciated, Cheers

  • Showing a MKAnnotation for custom object

    - by Chamanhm
I have a list of objects and each of those has a title, name, description, latitude, longitude and address. Is it possible to show this objects as MKAnnotations? I've been stuck with this for hours now. When I tried to make the objects have a CLLocationCoordinate2D I kept getting the error about latitude or longitude not being assignable. #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import <MapKit/MapKit.h> @interface Oficina : NSObject <MKMapViewDelegate> @property (nonatomic, readwrite) CLLocationCoordinate2D oficinaCoordinate; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaCiudad; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaEstado; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaTitulo; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaTelefono; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaLatitud; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaLongitud; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaID; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaDireccion; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaHorario; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaTipoDeOficina; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaServicios; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSString *oficinaTipoDeModulo; @end So after consuming an internet service I get around 70 of these objects. Now I want to be able to turn each of those into a map annotation. This is one of the ways I've tried to assign the latitude but I get the error "Expression not assignable".. currentOffice.oficinaCoordinate.latitude = [parseCharacters floatValue]; Where currentOffice is an instance of my custom object.

  • How to return the handle of a window when we click on it, without any DLL injection?

    - by Doo Dee
Hello! For one of my projects, I need to create a function that will return a handle to a window when the user click on it (any window displayed on screen, and anywhere inside that window). I know it is possible to use a global hook, but I think there must be a more simple way of doing that, without using any DLL injection. In fact, I could intercept the left mouse click or intercept when a window is activated. Can I use one of those 2 solutions without any DLL injection?
