  • compiling numpy with sunperf atlas libraries

    - by user288558
    I would like to use the sunperf libraries when compiling scipy and numpy. I tried using setupscons.py which seems to check from SUNPERF libraries, but it didnt recognize where mine are: here is a listing of /pkg/linux/SS12/sunstudio12.1 (thats where the sunperf library lives): wkerzend@mosura:/home/wkerzend>ls /pkg/linux/SS12/sunstudio12.1/lib/ CCios/ libdbx_agent.so@ libsunperf.so.3@ amd64/ libfcollector.so@ libtha.so@ collector.jar@ libfsu.so@ libtha.so.1@ dbxrc@ libfsu.so.1@ locale/ debugging.so@ libfui.so@ make.rules@ er.rc@ libfui.so.1@ rw7/ libblacs_openmpi.so@ librtc.so@ sse2/ libblacs_openmpi.so.1@ libscalapack.so@ stlport4/ libcollectorAPI.so@ libscalapack.so.1@ svr4.make.rules@ libcollectorAPI.so.1@ libsunperf.so@ tools_svc_mgr@ I tried to specify this directory in sites.cfg, but I still get the following errors: Checking if g77 needs dummy main - MAIN__. • Account for simple url rewriting in ASP.NET MVC redirect

    - by Kevin Montrose
How would you go about redirecting in ASP.NET MVC to take into account some external URL rewriting rules. For example: What the user enters: http://www.example.com/app/route What ASP.NET MVC sees: /route What I want to redirect to: http://www.example.com/app/other_route What actually happens when I do a simple RedirectToAction: http://www.example.com/other_route (which doesn't exist, from the outside anyway) This seems like it should be simple, but I'm drawing a blank.

  • How do I remove jQuery validation from a form?

    - by Ben
I'm using the jQuery validation plugin to validate a form, and I'd like to remove the validation and submit the form if a certain link is clicked. I am submitting form with javascript like jQuery('form#listing').submit(), so I must remove the validation rules/function with javascript. The problem is that I can't figure out how to do this. I've tried things like jQuery('form#listing').validate({}); and jQuery('form#listing').validate = null, but with no luck.

  • ASP.NET based object inspector

    - by Richard Edwards
I'm currently writing some code that uses Flee to evaluate a number of rules and I'd like to include an ASP.NET based object inspector in the configuration screen so users can inspect the values of objects that are made available. I've put together a fairly basic routine to recurse an objects properties and spit it out but before I go and write something more polished, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a component that provides this functionality.

  • QT warning level suggestion

    - by metdos
What is the warning level you use while compiling QT projects? When I compiled with W4, I'm getting a lot of warnings such as: C4127: conditional expression is constant Should I compile at W3, or find other ways to handle warnings at W4, such as: adding a new header file and using pragma's(mentioned here C++ Coding Standards: 101 Rules, Guidelines, and Best Practices). What are your practices? Thansk.

  • htaccess rewrite rule not loading site content

    - by peter
I am struggling with .htaccess rewrite rules. Let's say I have this URL. localhost/site/index.php and I want to rewrite it as this URL localhost/site/tutorial I would use this RewriteRule Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^tutorial/(.*)$ /up/index.php The page works, but the CSS files don't load. Also, if I have a URL like this: index.php?page=home Then I would have to parse through that URL to get 'home' not using $_GET anymore correct??

  • CSS rule ignored in IE8 Quirks Mode.

    - by ProfK
I have a ul/li based side menu, styled with two CSS rules, the following of them is ignored by IE8 Quirks mode, and I assume IE6: ul { padding-left: 15px; } I can reproduce the problem in FF by removing this rule completely. I have also tried using jQuery to apply the rule, with no change in IE8: $("ul.menu-class").find("ul").css("padding-left", 15); Is this a box model issue, and, how can I reduce the UL 'padding' in IE Quirks Mode?

  • Style guide for database metadata naming

    - by Nulldevice
We want to establish some database metadata naming rules in our new project. For example: tables are named as nouns in a plural form (courses, books, lessons) if present, an adjective goes before a noun in a table name and is separated by an underscore (red_books, new_lessons) table index column is always named "id" foreign key names are derived from a table name with suffix _id (book_id, red_book_id) so on Does someone know any guide like this?

  • PL/SQL pre-compile and Code Quality checks in an automatted build environment?

    - by Lars Corneliussen
We build software using Hudson and Maven. We have C#, java and last, but not least PL/SQL sources (sprocs, packages, DDL, crud) For C# and Java we do unit tests and code analysis, but we don't really know the health of our PL/SQL sources before we actually publish them to the target database. Requirements There are a couple of things we wan't to test in the following priority: Are the sources valid, hence "compilable"? For packages, with respect to a certain database, would they compile? Code Quality: Do we have code flaws like duplicates, too complex methods or other violations to a defined set of rules? Also, the tool must run head-less (commandline, ant, ...) we wan't to do analysis on a partial code base (changed sources only) Tools We did a little research and found the following tools that could potencially help: Cast Application Intelligence Platform (AIP): Seems to be a server that grasps information about "anything". Couldn't find a console version that would export in readable format. Toad for Oracle: The Professional version is said to include something called Xpert validates a set of rules against a code base. Sonar + PL/SQL-Plugin: Uses Toad for Oracle to display code-health the sonar-way. This is for browsing the current state of the code base. Semantic Designs DMSToolkit: Quite general analysis of source code base. Commandline available? Semantic Designs Clones Detector: Detects clones. But also via command line? Fortify Source Code Analyzer: Seems to be focussed on security issues. But maybe it is extensible? more... So far, Toad for Oracle together with Sonar seems to be an elegant solution. But may be we are missing something here? Any ideas? Other products? Experiences? • Make HTML content area fit to viewport height?

    - by viatropos
I just made this demo extracting out what I'm trying to accomplish: Autosize Main Content Area I want the pink/yellow area to act according to these rules: Minimum height is the size of its content (which is variable) IF content size is smaller than viewport size Otherwise minimum height is such that it adjusts to fill the window. Checking out the source to that demo, what am I missing? I feel like this is a pretty easy case that shouldn't require javascript. Any ideas?

  • Conventions for order of parameters in a function

    - by Andy
In writing functions my brain always spends a few milliseconds to check which order of parameters would be best for a given function. should I write: public Comment AddComment(long userID, string title, string text) Or probably: public Comment AddComment(string title, string text, long userID) Why not: public Comment AddComment(string title, long userID, string text) Do you follow any rules when ordering the parameters for your functions? Which parameter would you place first and which would follow?

    - by Gavin Clarke
I have an idea for an Eclipse plugin which I've been toying with. I need to be able to extend the Eclipse Java Editor component and add coloured overlays to the code based on pluggable external metrics. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any kind of syntax highlighting extension point. Does anyone know how I might be able to extend the exisitng eclipse Java Editor to add custom highlighting rules? Bear in mind I'm new to Eclipse plugin programming so please give as much detail as possible.
