    Hi, I have an array of numbers jumbled up from 0-9. How do I sort them in ascending order? Array.Sort doesn't work for me. Is there another way to do it? Thanks in advance.   • Duplicates in a sorted java array

    I have to write a method that takes an array of ints that is already sorted in numerical order then remove all the duplicate numbers and return an array of just the numbers that have no duplicates. That array must then be printed out so I can't have any null pointer exceptions. The method has to be in O(n) time, can't use vectors or hashes. This is what I have so far but it only has the first couple numbers in order without duplicates and then just puts the duplicates in the back of the array.     Hi I am working on a kind of raffle system which divides 1 million random numbers into an x amount of tickets, e.g. 1 million random numbers to 10,000 tickets. Each ticket is a row in a database, we then have another table ticket numbers in which i need to give 100 numbers to each ticket they are related by the ticket id.     Cosider the following code: class Foo { Monster* monsters[6]; Foo() { for (int i = 0; i < 6; i++) { monsters[i] = new Monster(); } } virtual ~Foo(); } What is the correct destructor? this: Foo::~Foo() { delete [] monsters; } or this: Foo::~Foo() { for (int i = 0; i < 6; i++) { delete monsters[i]; } } I currently have the uppermost constructor and everything is working okey, but of course I cannot see if it happens to be leaking... Personally, I think the second version is much more logical considering what I am doing. Anyway, what is the "proper" way to do this?

  • Working with Form Array's in Coldfusion?

    I have no idea how to handle this in coldfusion 9, I have a form being submitted (POST) with element checkboxes, called items[]. When I do a <cfdump var="#form#" /> no-problem, I get all the items shown with the proper names like items[] eg: struct ITEMS[] 13,14 FIELDNAMES ITEMS[] however doing a <cfdump var="#form.items[]#" /> results in an error. How do I access the CF9 field values? Somehow loop through it? I cannot seem to do anything with the array to get the id's out of it? Thoughts, I'm kindof stumped and coldfusion isn't the easiest language to find examples / references on the net ;) Is there a correct way to deal with this? I need to get the ID's out of there so I can referenc what lines were checked in the form, so I can follow up with an action. Thanks!

    Hi, I am writing a function that takes a string, string pointer and an int. The function splits the string based on a set of rules and puts each token into an array. I need to return the array out of the function with the number of elements in the int variable etc. I am stuck as to how I return the array as I can not use auto other wise it is destroyed and I am reluctant to use new as I feel this is patchy. I have other ideas on how to go about this but would like to see how other people go about this first. I could also be wrong and it could be possible to pass an auto out of an array. I can also not use vectors so there goes a copy constructor.

If it wasn't an associative array, I would use nested for loops, like: for($i=0; $i<count($myarray); $i++) { for($j=$i+1; $j<count($myarray); $j++) { do_something($myarray[$i], $myarray[$j]); } } I have looked at using foreach loops, but as the inner loop goes through ALL elements, some pairs are repeated. Basically I have a few instance of the class "menu-item" which when clicked call the click function via jQuery and bring up a video. Instead of giving each on an id as well as a class I am trying to find which instance of the class was clicked (1, 2, 3, etc).
