Problem converting path string from "/", "\"

i got this code $current_path = str_replace('\', '/', getcwd()); //c://xampp/htdoc Why it fail replace '\' with '/' in directory patch ? why is the reason and how to handle this problem ?

Is there anything else I can do to optimize this MySQL query?

I have two tables, Table A with 700,000 entries and Table B with 600,000 entries.
