Why is my simple recusive method's final return value always off by 1?

This method, given a pair of coordinates, should delete all the squares at that coordinate with the same number and likewise with all the squares with the same number connected to it. However, the number of destroyed (value returned) is always one off (too small). I believe this is because the first call of move() isn't being counted but I don't know how to differentiate between the first call or subsequent calls in that recursive method. How can I modify my move() method so it returns the correct number of destroyed blocks?

Implementation of Nib project to Storyboard, Xcode

I have made a tabbed bar application in storyboard in xcode. I,m new to xcode. I got a Sample TableView XIB project from apple that I edited to my needs,The project has a UITableView that I Customized with Images, And with help of a certain forum member I was able to link up each image to a New View Controller. I tried to port or integrate My Nib Project Code to my StoryBoard Tabbed Bar Application.I thought I had everything right had to comment out a few things to get no errors, But the project only goes to a Blank Table View. Php code works on every browser but not on IE8, help please

Why can I query with an int but not a string here? PHP MySQL Datatypes

I am working on an Asset Database problem. I receive $id from $_GET["id"]; I then query the database and display the results. This works if my id is an integer like "93650" but if it has other characters like "wci1001", it displays this MySQL error: Unknown column 'text' in 'where clause' All fields in tables are of type: VARCHAR(50) What would I need to do to be able to use this query to search by id that includes other characters? It seems like it should be straightforward but I just get a list of all items on all orders repeated by the number of orders. What am I doing wrong? Google Maps API v3 - Different markers/labels on different zoom levels

I was wondering if it is possible that Google has a feature to view different markers on different zoom levels. For example, on zoom level 1, I want one marker over China with the label saying "5". And as the user zooms in, lets say on zoom level 4, I want the previous marker and label to disappear. And I want to have 5 new markers/labels, each on a different city in China all saying "1". Thus China will say a number and all the cities in China will say numbers adding up to China's number. The key concept I am trying to figure out here is how to hide markers and labels based on zoom levels. A constraint for me is that I am living in China currently where google is censored, so a lot of online documents are censored for me, including many of google's documentations. I'm interning for an NGO in India and trying to fix their website, including updating their menu so it's not the last item on the page to load, and it's centered on the screen. Everything works well enough but when I try out my new menu in IE6, I get this weird error where the content below the menu is padded an extra 30px or so and the material in the right-most drop down appears on the far left of the screen, always visible. When I drop down the rightmost link ("Publications") the content appears both in the correct location and in the same spot on the far left of the screen, and changes color when I hover as well. Also I'm using a 1000px wide monitor, if there's more hijinks going on outside that space I'd like to know about that too. I took a look at the problem again and it's even weirder than I thought. Only two letters of the bottom-most drop down menu item are shown, no matter how many items are in the left-most drop down menu. When I delete the left-most drop down menu, the bottom item from the next left-most item shows up in the same space. The padding between the menu and the content is always the same. When I hover over the real menu item, the two letters on the left hand side change color to match the hover color. Unfortunately many people that visit our website are using old browsers so IE6 support is pretty crucial, this problem is really weird though, and I would appreciate some help. getView only shows Flagged Backgrounds for drawn Views, It does not show Flagged Background when scroll to view more items on list

I am trying to create a listview that receives a flagged list of items to indicate a status to the user. I have been able to create the flag display by using a yellow background (see image at bottom). In Theory, the flagged list can have many flagged items in it. However in my app, only the first three flagged backgrounds are shown. I believe this is because they are initially drawn to the screen. The Flagged background that are not drawn initially to the screen do not show. I'd like to know how to get the remaining flags to show in the list. ListView Recycling: The backgrounds in the listView are being recycled in getView(). This recycling goes from position 0 to position 9. I have flags that need to match at positions 13, 14 and so on. Those positions are not being displayed. listView.getCheckedItemPositions() for multiple selections: This method will not work in my case because the user will not selected the flags. The flags are coming from the server. setNotifyOnChange() and/or public virtual void SetNotifyOnChange (bool notifyOnChange): I'm not adding new data to the list, so I don't see how this method would work for my program. Does this method communicate to getview when it is recycling data? Very Unusual Margin Appears Always in Internet Explorer [CSS]

Only in Internet Explorer does this occur: I'm getting an additional margin (of 19 pixels) below a fieldset and I can't seem to see why, whatever I try! Try it for yourself, take a look at http://theshrop.com/d/call_us_or_call_in.php. To aid I've added a grid and some background colours. The fieldset should have a 1.125em bottom margin and it does in Safari, Firefox etc. It has an extra 19 pixels in Internet Explorer? Using javascript to limit survey choices to three unique values

I'm required to use a limited survey application, and have to adapt the provided code to meet more advanced functionality. I need to create a weighted ranking question, so users can select their top three choices and the data will go into the survey application and be accessible in the survey reports. The application only supports 2 types of questions (text fill & multiple choice) but I can alter the code, as long as it still sends the form data back to the survey application. The code is set up so it will show a drop-down menu of 0-3 for each option. Now I want to limit the user's choices so they can only select one "1" "2" or "3", three choices total. Ideally, if the user already had "2" selected for one option and they tried to select it for another option, it would set the first "2" as "0" or blank. Is this possible to do with javascript? If so, does anyone know of a site that might show code like this, or provide similar enough examples that I could adapt it? DD-WRT No Internet connection over LAN

I flashed the DD-WRT firmware on my TP-Link WR1043ND router and although after cloning the PC's MAC-Address it gets the correct IP from my ISP, the internet connection over LAN just won't work. The strange thing is it does work flawlessly over W-LAN, which tells me the problem should lie somehow in the default LAN settings or the PC. Any idea what the problem might be? Why doesn't this code work correctly?

I'm working on a website that displays galleries, using jCarousel. But no matter what I try, I can't get it to work, and I need to finish this by today. I have a very urgent schedule. My code basically takes image URLs from a database and sends them to AJAX, which passes it to jCarousel which makes the gallery. But there are a few problems: It doesn't display correctly! I can only get the last item pulled from the database, and it displays on the bottom-most row. After the item pulled from the database is displayed, the first time I click on "prev" there's no scroll effect, and the item just disappears! Only if I click on "next" 2-3 times there's a scroll effect and the item remains visible. My items are always displayed at the end of the carousel! This is urgent.. I know it looks like a lot of code but it's really not! My formatting takes a lot of lines, the commented CSS takes a lot, and a lot of the code is HTML and jCarousel configuration, and there's also the BounceEasing effect which takes a few lines. There's not much actual code! So as I said, this is urgent and I need this fixed. But I can't get it to work. Please help me! Thanks for your time! EDIT: I changed the code a bit, but it still does not work. I really need help on this one!! EDIT: I added document.createElement("li"); to each while loop. Now all my items are displayed, but they are displayed vertically and not horizontally on each row. Other than that all other problems are the same. EDIT: Oh and also, in the row my image displays, only the image is there. Maybe jCarousel doesn't accept img and text, I don't know.

If you go back to directory root and click on the link to the file the grid table is displayed, if you hit 'refresh' button -- the script runs but the table is not injected. Secondly, although the table HTML is injected in IE, it does not display it. I tried adding nbsp's to make sure its not ignored -- to no avail. Any suggestions on improving code or help with the issues is appreciated. Thanks!

How would I create a formatted version of the following PHP script as a downloadable CSV file from the code below (1.0) At the moment the fputcsv function is currently dumping the unparsed PHP/HTML code into a CSV file. This is incorrect. The downloaded CSV file should contain the columns and rows generated from the code at (1.0) as shown in the image link below. The code would need to enter the product_id into an array and check whether it is unique. If the product_id is unique to the array, then the product_id is echoed out unaltered, and parent is echoed out to the 'Parent/Child' column and then the product_id is repeated to the 'Parent SKU' column. However, if the array is checked and the product_id already exists in the array, then the product_id is echoed out to the 'SKU' column with a suffix i.e. _1. Then child is echoed to the 'Parent / Child' column and the original parent product_id echoed to the 'Parent SKU' column. HOWEVER - the same SKU cannot be repeated with the same suffix i.e. 12345_1, 12345_1 - so presumably there would be to be another array for the suffixed SKUs to be checked against. If anybody could help, it would be great. How do I control the direction of the scroll on my coda slider?

Hello, I have a coda slider and am unable to determine the direction of the scroll. I have 3 panels that I want to scroll left to right. Sometimes it scrolls left to right, sometimes up and down, and sometimes horizontally. How do I lock it down to go the direction I want? How to improve performance of map that loads new overlay images

I have inherited a website to maintain that uses a html map overlaying a real map to link specific countries to specific pages. previously it loaded the default map image, then with some javascript it would change the image src to an image with that particular country in a different colour on mouseover and reset the image source back to the original image on mouse out to make maintenance (adding new countries) easier i made the initial map a background image by utilising some CSS for the div tag, and then created new images for each country which only had that countries hightlight so that the images remain fairly small. this works great but theres one issue which is particularly noticeable on slower internet connections when you hover over a country if you dont have the image file in your browser cache or downloaded it wont load the image unless you hover over another country and then back onto the first country - i guess this is due to the image having to manually be downloaded on first hover. form not identifying the new input fields generated through a javascript

Not able to get data from Json completely

i am getting JSON data from http://abinet.org/?json=1 and displaying the titles in a ListView. the code is working fine but the problem is, it is skipping few titles in my ListView and one title is being repeated. You can see the json data from url given above by copy paste it in JSON editor online http://www.jsoneditoronline.org/ i want titles in the "posts" array to be displayed in ListView, however it is being displayed like this: if you see the JSON data from the link above, its missing like 3 titles (they should come between the first and second title) and 5th title is being repeated.
