• jsf submit button not wrking

  I am using hx:commandExButton of IBM Faces Client Framework to call my method. But the method is not getting called. But if I use immediate="true" it's getting called. But as you all know with this my model won't get updated, so it has no use to me. Has anyone faced this? • calling and killing a parent function with onmouseover and onmouseout events

  I want to call the function upon the onmouseover="ParentFunction();" then kill it onmouseout="killParent();". Note: in my code the parent function is called initiate(); and the killer function is called reset(); which lies outside the parent function at the bottom of the script. This method, given a pair of coordinates, should delete all the squares at that coordinate with the same number and likewise with all the squares with the same number connected to it. However, the number of destroyed (value returned) is always one off (too small). I believe this is because the first call of move() isn't being counted but I don't know how to differentiate between the first call or subsequent calls in that recursive method. How can I modify my move() method so it returns the correct number of destroyed blocks?

• makefile pathing issues on OSX

  OK, I thought I would try one last update and see if it gets me anywhere. I've created a very small test case. This should not build anything, it just tests the path settings. Also I've setup the path so there are no spaces. The is the smallest, simplest test case I could come up with. This makefile will set the path, echo the path, run avr-gcc -v with the full path specified and then try to run it without the full path specified. • What sort of loop structure to compare checkbox matrix with Google Maps markers?

  I'm trying to build a map of trails around my town. I'm using an XML file to hold all the trail data. For each marker, I have categories like "surface," "difficulty," "uses," etc. I have seen many examples of Google Maps that use checkboxes to show markers by category. However these examples are usually very simple: maybe three different checkboxes. What's different on my end is that I have multiple categories, and within each category there are several possible values. So, a particular trail might have "use" values of "hiking," "biking," "jogging," and "equestrian" because all are allowed. I put together one version, which you can see here: http://www.joshrenaud.com/pd/trails_withcheckboxes3.html In this version, any trail that has any value checked by the user will be displayed on the map. This version works. (although I should point out there is a bug where despite only one category being checked on load, all markers display anyway. After your first click on any checkbox, the map will work properly) However I now realize it's not quite what I want. I want to change it so that it will display only markers that match ALL the values that are checked (rather than ANY, which is what the example above does). I took a hack at this. You can see the result online, but I can't type a link to it because I am new user. Change the "3" in the URL above to a "4" to see it. My questions are about this SECOND url. (trails_withcheckboxes4.html) It doesn't work. I am pretty new to Javascript, so I am sure I have done something totally wrong, but I can't figure out what. My specific questions: Does anyone see anything glaringly obvious that is keeping my second example from working? If not, could someone just suggest what sort of loop structure I would need to build to compare the several arrays of checkboxes with the several arrays of values on any given marker?   I'm unable to retrieve data from an XML document, any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using PHP 5.2.10 and the WSDL url is an internal link within my company. • Wikipedia API: list=alllinks confusion

  I'm doing a research project for the summer and I've got to use get some data from Wikipedia, store it and then do some analysis on it. I'm using the Wikipedia API to gather the data and I've got that down pretty well. What my questions is in regards to the links-alllinks option in the API doc here After reading the description, both there and in the API itself (it's down and bit and I can't link directly to the section), I think I understand what it's supposed to return. However when I ran a query it gave me back something I didn't expect. Here's the query I ran: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=revisions&titles=google&rvprop=ids|timestamp|user|comment|content&rvlimit=1&list=alllinks&alunique&allimit=40&format=xml Which in essence says: Get the last revision of the Google page, include the id, timestamp, user, comment and content of each revision, and return it in XML format. The allinks (I thought) should give me back a list of wikipedia pages which point to the google page (In this case the first 40 unique ones). Next step i click the hyperlink that takes me back to the form. Now my question is how exactly do i make it possible when filling in the same form again so both results are displayed in the same table? • Block Hover Effect - Why doesn't it work correctly in FF3.6?

  Why doesn't following code work correctly in FireFox 3.6? I have tested in IE7, IE8, and Chrome with out any issues. Issue: The first block hover link (the table's 3rd row) doesn't apply the same style/effect as the following below it. Notes: I am trying to create my own table framework. This project is something I am doing to learn more about CSS. Before I started, I thought I knew a lot about CSS. However, to my surprise I was wrong. Who knew? Moving on... As side note, I do not want to take the time to support IE6. So, if you see a problem related IE6, please don't waste your time telling. One another side note, the following style script and HTML listed when this question is strip-down/bare-bone of the complete CSS/HTML. It should be enough to assist me. • FCKEditor doesn't set Value property on postback!

  I'm using FCKEditor on my asp.net web page. It appears beautifully, and the editor looks really good on the front end. Only problem is, the .Value property is not being set on the postback. No matter what changes the user makes to the value of the control on the page, when I click "Submit", the .Value property remains blank. I have Googled for other solutions, and most of them are of the variety where there's some conflict with Ajax, such as this and this. My problem is not solved by these solutions; it's much more fundamental than that. I'm not doing anything to do with Ajax; I'm just a simple asp.net newbie with a simple web form, and the value property is not being set on postback, not in IE and not in FF. It appears that at least one other person has had this problem, but no solution yet. Any ideas? Thanks! New information: I tried this out on a "hello world" test web site - and the test web site works 100%. There is obviously a problem on my page, but I have no idea where to begin tracking this down. • Javascript not able to read data generated by ajax script

  I have a situation in which my Jquery Ajax script generates HTML table. And another script is meant to filter the table column by providing a dropdown comprising of unique values in that particular column. If i have static content in html page the filter script works fine. But is not able to read table content when it is generated via Ajax that is during runtime. Any idea what could be the reason. • how would you debug this javascript problem?

  I've been travelling and developing for the past few weeks. The site I'm developing was running well. Then, the other day, i connected to a network and the page 'looked' fine, but it turns out the javascript wasn't running. I checked firebug, and there were no errors, as I was suspecting that maybe a script didn't load (I'm using the google api for jQuery and jQuery UI, as well as loading google maps api and fbconnect). I would suspect that if the issue was with one of these pages not loading I would get an error, and yet there was nothing. Thinking maybe i didn't connect properly or something, i reconnected to the network and even restarted my computer, as well as trying to run the local version. I got nothing. The local version not running also hinted to me that it was the loading of an external javascript which caused the problem. I let it pass as something strange with that one network. Unfortunately now I'm 100s of miles away. Today my brother sent me an e-mail that the network he was on at the airport wouldn't load my page. Same issue. Everything is laid out properly, and part of the layout is set in Javascript, so clearly javascript is running. he too got no errors. Of course, he got on his plane, and now he is no longer at the airport. Now the site works on his computer (and i haven't changed anything). How on earth would you go about figuring out what happened in this situation? That is two of maybe 12 or so networks. But I have no idea how i would find a network that doesn't work (and living in a small town, it could be difficult for me to find a network that doesn't work). Any ideas? The site is still in Dev, so I'd rather not post a link just yet (but could in a few days). What I can see not working is the javascript functions which are called on load, and on click. So i do think it is a javascript issue, but no errors. This wouldn't be as HUGE an issue if I could find and sit on one of these networks, but I can't. So what would you do? My brother couldn't run it earlier today while I had no problems, so it was something to do with his location/network. HOWEVER, the page loads, he had a connection, it was his first time visiting the site, so nothing could have been cashed. Same with when I had the issue a few days before. I didn't change anything, and I got to a different network and everything worked fine.

• CSS layout problem on Firefox with filling space between end of left column and footer

  Basically, the left column is supposed to extend to the footer with the continuous red color. However, in Firefox on pages with lots of text, the column does not extend to the footer and leaves a large white gap--see site: http://library.luhs.org/JHSII/about.html I've tried readjusting the heights, creating the sticky footer, and other things I've read about on this site. So I admit that I'm stumped, and what's really odd is that the layout seems to work in IE as there is no white space! • Why can't HTC Droid running OTA 2.1 communicate with RFCOMM?

  Yesterday we received OTA Android 2.1 on my wife's HTC Droid - HOORAY!!! I am finally able to load my carputer app on her phone. Well we loaded it, but it doesn't work. Specifically, it connects but sees no I/O!!! I paired, re-paired, and re-paired again, every time its the same problem: connect() says we connected successfully, but any attempt to send or receive data appears to work but no data ever arrives in the input buffer. The device I'm connecting to uses AT commands. ATI should respond with a device ID. That works fine when I run the app on my Moto Droid, but on the HTC droid, no data is ever present in the inputstream/buffer. Personally, I'm feeling pretty sure it's a bug or limitation in this release for the HTC (because the app works great on my Moto A855 Droid). Can anybody comment on the issue?   So I have a tiny header image that repeats on the x axis, but for some reason it won't show up in IE8. Anyone know a work around? • UITableview has problem reloading

  Hi guys, I've kinda finished my application for a school project but have run into a major "bug". It's a account management application. I'm unable to insert a picture here so here's a link: http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee112/seelani/Screenshot2010-12-22atPM075512.png Here's the problem when i click on the plus sign, i push a nav controller to load another view to handle the adding and deleting of categories. When i add and return back to the view above, it doesn't update. It only updates after i hit the button on the right which is another view used to change some settings, and return back to the page. I did some research on viewWillAppear and such but I'm still confused to why it doesn't work properly. This problem is also affecting my program when i delete a category, and return back to this view it crashes cos the view has not reloaded successfully. I will get this error when deleting and returning to the view. • Processing incorrect mac addresses from 802.11 frames with pcap

  I'm working throurgh a project with pcap and wireless. Following an example posted in response to oe of my earlier questions I am trying to extract the mac addresses from wireless frames. I have created structures for the radiotap header and a basic management frame. For some reason when it comes to trying to output the mac addresses I am printing out the wrong data. When I compare to wireshark I don't see why the radio tap data is printing out correctly but the mac addresses are not. I don't see any additional padding in the hex dump that wireshark displays when i look at the packets and compare the packets that I have captured. I am somewhat famialar with c but not an expert so maybe I am not using the pointers and structures properly could someone help show me what I am doing wrong? • WPF, how can I optimize lines and circles drawing ?

  Hello ! I am developping an application where I need to draw a graph on the screen. For this purpose, I use a Canvas and I put Controls on it. And when I try to draw a very large graph, it takes a LOT of time to render. My problem is that the code is not optimized at all, I just wanted it to work. Until now, I have a Canvas on the one hand, and multiple Controls on the other hands.
