    I'm using JSF 2.0 and want to fill a selectOneMenu with the values of my Enum. In Seam, to use the values of the Enum, i had to write the following markup (and create a factory that provides the #{genderValues}: <!-- the Seam way --> <h:selectOneMenu id="persongender" value="#{person.gender}"> <s:selectItems var="_gender" value="#{genderValues}"" label="#{_gender.label}"/> <s:convertEnum/> </h:selectOneMenu> The result is that i don't have to declare the Enum values explicitely anymore inside the markup. I know that this is not very easy in JSF <2.0, but is there any new in JSF2 to help with this issue? Or does Weld help here somehow? If there is nothing new in JSF2, what's the easiest way to do it in JSF 1.2? Or can i even integrate the Seam JSF tag and the corresponding classes of Seam to get the same feature in a JavaEE6-App (without the Seam container)?

  • Posting a JSON array to webservice in Android

    I am having some problems with what should be a rather simple task. I simply need a JSON array with a single JSON object within it to be posted to my webservice. The entire URL request needs to be formatted like this: http://www.myserver.com/myservice.php?location_data=[{"key1":"val1","key2":"val2"....}] I cannot for the life of me figure out how to append the 'location_data' bit using HttpPost. Here is a code snippet to demonstrate the HTTP connection method I am using: HttpClient hClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost hPost = new HttpPost(url); try { hPost.setEntity(new StringEntity(string)); hPost.setHeader("Accept", "application/json"); hPost.setHeader("Content-type", "application/json"); //execute request HttpResponse response = (HttpResponse) hClient.execute(hPost); HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); I don't have any syntax errors, and my code is accessing the server fine, just not in the exact format the server needs. Any help on how to format my request to look like how I need it would be greatly appreciated!

    I have PKCS#12 keystore that I've sucessfully imported in my browser for accessing a server that needs 2-way SSL authentication. Works perfectly reaching any https URL there. However, I'm unable to access an URL in the same server, and from the same host when using Axis 1.4. The given Axis faultString is: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target My javax.net.ssl.{keyStore,keyStorePassword,keyStoreType} properties seem to be set up fine. How can I solve this?

  • Jboss logging issue

    Our application is deployed on JBoss As 4.0x and we face some issues with JBoss logging. Whenever the server is restarted, JBoss stops logging, and there is no update in server.log. After that it is not updating the log file. Then we do touch cmd on log4j.xml, so that it creates the log files again. Please help me in fixing the issue we cant do touch everytime. We face this issue in both the nodes. I could not figure where the problem is? If any other issues, we can check the log files. If log itself is not getting updated/logged, how can we move further in analyzing the issues without the recent/updated logs?   • Google App Engine - Figure out the time the current request reached the app engine

    Is there a way I can figure out the time the current request reached the app engine? For example a user might make a request to my app, but due to app engine latencies my code might not start handling the request until one second later, is there a way I can figure out that the user has already had to wait one second? The reason I want to know how to do this is because I want to do different things based on if the user already had to wait. If the user already had to wait a significant amount of time I will just serve them a page out of the cache, if the user hasn't had to wait yet then I will serve them a page which takes a while to render.

    Can I perform a Criteria query with Sub-Select AND Left-Outer join? For example, I have A 1-many B 1-many C. With Criteria.createAlias ("b", "b", Criteria.LEFT_JOIN) I can perform Left Outer join. With Criteria.setFetchMode ("b", org.hibernate.FetchMode.DEFAULT) I can perform Join with the default fetching strategy. I assume that having set @org.hibernate.annotations.FetchMode.SUBSELECT in both A.B and B.C is enough (is it?). Question 1: Why does org.hibernate.FetchMode not have SUBSELECT option, whereas the org.hibernate.annotations.FetchMode does? Question 2: Can I perform a Criteria query with Sub-Select AND Left-Outer join?

  • Running each JUnit test in a separate JVM in Eclipse?

    I have a project with nearly 500 individual tests in around 200 test classes. Some of these tests don't do a great job of tearing down their own state after they're finished, and in Eclipse this results in some tests failing. The tests all pass when running the test suite from the command line via Ant. Can I enable 'test isolation' somehow in Eclipse? I don't mind if it takes longer to run. Long term, I will clean up the misbehaving tests, but in the short term I'd like to get the tests working.

Now, the problem is that when I set paint style to be FILL or FILL_AND_STROKE nothing shows up on the screen, but when I set it to be just stroke, and set stroke width, it acctually draws what it is supposed to draw. Now, I looked for solution, but nothing comes up. Can you tell me if I something missed to set in the code itself, or are there some sorts of constraints when drawing on Overlay canvases? Thanks

    I am installing solr on my VPS (Ubuntu 9.10) via PuTTY. First, I thought about installing Solr with Tomcat, but then after installing tomcat, I changed my mind and went for the Jetty which comes with Solr. Now that I have setup everything on my Server, and try to start the "start.jar" file, I get some errors...     Hello all, I am trying to layout a Button to the left of a TextView that is centered on the screen. My layout looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:gravity="center"> <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="foo" android:id="@+id/center" /> <Button android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Left button" android:layout_toLeftOf="@id/center" /> </RelativeLayout> Unfortunately, the button just does not appear. I get the following result: As you see, the button doesn't show up. It works if I use layout_toRightOf, then the button appears to the right of the TextView, just as expected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?
