• Problem with Writing files using FileWriter automatically with Quartz Scheduler

  I have chosen nearly 200 files to write on a position automatically on a particular time. Created a separate job names in Quartz scheduler. The job will be triggered on a time. I can read the files only after all the files have been written. I could not read after one file is written. I have closed the FileWriter after one file written. What is the solution to access the file and read which have been written into the hard Disk

• How do I use Google protobuf to communicate over a serial port?

  I'm working on a project that uses RXTX and protobuf to communicate with an application on a development board and I've been running into issues which implies that I'm likely doing things the wrong way. Here's what I currently have for writing the request to the board (the read code is similar): public void write(CableCommandRequest request, OutputStream out) { CodedOutputStream outStream = CodedOutputStream.newInstance(out); request.writeTo(outStreatm); outStream.flush(); } The OutputStream that is used is prepared by RXTX and the development board seems to indicate that data is being received, but it is getting garbled or is otherwise not being understood. There seems to be little documentation on using protobuf over a serial connection so I'm assuming that passing the OutputStream should be sufficient. Is this in fact correct, or is this the wrong way of sending the response over the serial connection?

• Strange jboss console error

  Hello everyone, I'm creating additional module to already multi-module maven project. And for this one I want everything to be like in other modules(meaning dependencies) just to test hello world, then I'll go do some more complex stuff. And it does print hello world as it should when deployed onto jboss server, but I get some strange error on console, had anyone had similar experience? and how can I fix it?   Hi, I want to put individual JComboBoxes into each cells of a JTable. ie. The JComboBox content is not identical for each cell. I basically would like to be able to just call the following code to add a row of JComboBox into the JTable. Anyone has any idea? • Interpolating Large Datasets On the Fly

  Interpolating Large Datasets I have a large data set of about 0.5million records representing the exchange rate between the USD / GBP over the course of a given day. I have an application that wants to be able to graph this data or maybe a subset. For obvious reasons I do not want to plot 0.5 million points on my graph. What I need is a smaller data set (100 points or so) which accurately (as possible) represents the given data. Does anyone know of any interesting and performant ways this data can be achieved?   I'm relatively new to web services, but I need to integrate a call to an existing service in my application. Ideally, I'd like to use JAX-WS because I'm looking for the simplest, quickest-to-develop solution on my end, and MyEclipse is able to generate a JAX-WS client from a WSDL. Unfortunately, the WSDL I've inherited was built from what appears to be Axis using RPC. Will this still work? • Problem with Richfaces running with NGinx proxy

  Hi, I got a problem with my Richfaces application. I am using it with JSF and GlassFish v.2 on my localhost and combination od dataTable and dataScroller works fine. While moving the app to the VPS running Tomcat but proxied by Nginx server, everything crashes. Exactly the scroller is working, but the dataTable view is not refreshed! I looked at responses with Firebug and figured out, that even on VPS the response contains 2nd page of the dataTable, but it is not shown on the screen. I tried everything - changing page attribute of dataScroller (it was taken from session bean, I changed that to request bean). I also removed page attribute from dataScroller - did not help either. Finally I added my table to reRender attribute of dataScroller - still whichever page I choose I am seeing only the first one. Does anyone even heard about such problem? I am going crazy with this.   I am working on a project that involves Spring Security ACL and I came across the create permission BasePermission.CREATE. Would someone please explain how this is supposed to work or what it allows someone to do? It is my understanding that each object has an acl, and each acl has many ace's, and each ace has an sid and a permission. How can you grant permission on an object to create it, if it must be created in order to attach the acl to it?

I would like to do the same thing without using inner classes. • Why is my Tomcat 6 executor thread pool not being used by the connector?

Is the manager just misreporting or have I not setup the thread pool correctly?

• Bug Running Android Tutorial HelloTabWidget under SDK 1.5: "setCurrentTag(getIntent())"

  does not compile. Indeed: even in 1.5, this api, getIntent(), is already listed as deprecated. The error message I get complains that getIntent() does not return a String, but setCurrentTab() expects a string. If I guess and change the line to read: "tabHost.setCurrentTab(1); // was setCurrentTab(getIntent())", then it compiles, builds, but does not run. I get the "stopped unexpectedly" error message from the emulator. I cannot even get Log.d to output, so it seems that it stops 'unexpectedly' very early. So the first and main question is: what is the correct fix to "tabHost.setCurrentTab(getIntent())" in the final line of OnCreate() in http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-tabwidget.html? The second and simpler question is: did I guess right in replacing 'mTabHost' with tabHost in the one place where that occurs?
