  • Space bar and arrow keys on Radio buttons trigger TypeError: Error #1009

    I've just discovered a bug in my app, it looks like a Flash player bug, i would like to know if anyone has found a workaround or something. I've some radio buttons groups in my app. If I press the arrow keys while holding the spacebar pressed, it ends up triggering TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at fl.controls::LabelButton/drawIcon() at fl.controls::LabelButton/draw() at fl.controls::RadioButton/draw() at fl.core::UIComponent/callLaterDispatcher() If found this thread that describes my same situation. Do you think there's any workaround for this? Is it really a flash bug?

  • How to add a "handle bar" to a sliding div

    I have a small splash page and have a browser-wide div that acts as a wrapper and have a div inside of #wrapper that is attached to a $.click(); event to slide the wrapper div out to view the browser-size background photo. I'm wanting to implement a small button/link that will slide in on the bottom right corner after the wrapper div is hidden. I know it is probably mainly CSS, but am needing some help.   • Return latitude/longitude based on entered address

    I'm building a php based application for a client to enter in addresses for their customers' buildings. They'd like the ability to view the location on a map (either as individuals or grouped in a city search). What I'm trying to accomplish is a lookup once the address is entered into a form that populates the database, so after they enter in the addresss, city, state, zip (these are all US locations) they could click a "get lat/long info" link/button that would check to make sure the data is complete, then would lookup the address and return the latitude/longitude into the appropriate form fields. Then the form could be submitted to store the info, and I could later just pull the lat/long when plotting on a map. 1) Does this make sense, or would I be better off just doing the lookup when it's time to plot it? 2) Does anyone have any pointers to solve this problem? I've seen some of the Google/Yahoo API's but it looks like this is more based on the plotting a point part. I may be able to modify it to suit my needs, but I'm just trying to cut some research time posting here with the hopes one of you may have a more direct route. I'll RTFM if I have to... Thanks, D.

    I'm combining Tablesorter's 'disable headers using options' function and the 'trigger sortStart / sortEnd' function and have run into an issue.   • scroll bar problems in java Layered Panes

    Hi all, I've been trying to build this small java app. I find it very difficult to design UI in java, tasks that seem very simple become complicated and all these strange misbehaviors occur. In my app I've created a JLayeredPane which contains two layers. One on top on the other, They both contain scrollbars. Here's an explanation of the two layers: Layer 1: A very big image inside something similar to a scrollpane. The image is scrollable. Layer 2: A graphics2d object, this object draws an image. Once the image reaches a certain length, the layer gets a scrollpane that advances with the drawing with time. I'd like to connect both layers. I want layer two to update the scrollbar on layer 1. Meaning that once it reaches a certain length, both scrollbars will advance together. When I try doing that, the two scroll bars really do advance, but ( ! ) this strange flickering occurs. I don't understand what is the reason for the flickering. Is there any other way to implement this in a simple manner? I must have the second layer on top of the first one (drawing on top of image) since I cannot open a special post for thanking the wonderful people of this forum, I'll do it here. Thank you, you are great help. I hope this problem is solvable as well.

    (WPF) We have been asked to build a little window that pops up when the app is busy (instead of or in addition to a wait cursor). We put a textblock in the window, and a ProgressBar with IsIndeterminate = true. We call show on the little window, and then start up our long-running process, calling Close on the little window when we are through. However, during the long-running process, the ProgressBar does not show any activity, and the little window shows (Not Responding) in its title. Is this even possible? A better idea?

  • clicking title bar fires onBlur in Opera

    Hi, I am closing a popup window at 'onBlur' defined for 'BODY' of an ASP webpage, so when a user clicks outside the popup the popup closes. I want the popup to be moveable around the screen and it works for all browsers but Opera. In Opera the 'onBlur' event is fired when clicking the titlebar of the popup - this seems weird for me, as the titlebar is a part of the popup window, right? What can I do about it?

    My SMTP server got 100's of errors when sending lots of emails. Now have lots of .BAD files each one containing an error message and somewhere in the middle, the actual email address it was supposed to be sent to. What is the easiest way to extract from each file "just" the "email address", so that I can have a list of the actual failed emails? I can code in C# and any suggestion will be truly welcomed.   • Background image fixed with vertical scroll bar in IE

    I have a gradient background image in my web application, it goes from dark at the top to light at the bottom. In Firefox, this image is handled properly, where upon scrolling vertically downwards on the page, the dark top section disappears. However, when I started testing in IE (I'm using IE8) the background image stays fixed behind the screen as you vertically scroll, meaning the dark top section of the background image is always rendered at the top of the IE view. I've set the background tag to have scroll defined, which from all I can tell should solve the problem, but IE is not happy. background: #470077 url( images/abcd.jpg ) repeat-x scroll; I made sure to be clearing the data in IE in case it was caching the old style before I added scroll.     I would like to add a QMenuBar to a window of my program (not the QMainWindow) from QtDesigner but I do not see this widget in there and it seems the only way to do this from designer is to use a mainwindow. Would I absolutely need to create this QMenu by hand coding it. Is it possible/ok to instead add a QMainwindow that is actually declared inside my main QMainwindow?

  • Dijit.Dialog irregular behaviour of scroll bar making dialog box unusable

    I use a dojo dialog box to display a page pulled from another part of the site. The page being pulled is long - so I use the css attribute: `max-height: 900px; overflow:auto; To make sure it displays properly. For a long page, it displays a 900px high dialog box with a scrollbar down the right hand side side. However the scrollbar is going up to the dialog box title and shifting the close box icon to the left. In internet explorer, when a user moves his mouse of the close box icon, it moves to the right. If you move your mouse to the right it moves left - so you can never actually close the box with the icon. I have tried clearing the content in the box and just making it very long, and the same thing still happens. Oddly enough, if I close the window using esc and click pull up the dialog box again, it works fine. Any way I can make it display properly at all times. I am using Dojo version 1.3. Thanks
