  • Can No Longer Find Firefox Spell Check Personal Database in Firefox 3

    I have Ubuntu Linux 8.04 LTS with Firefox 3.6.3. Unfortunately it is super easy to accidentally click Add To Dictionary on a word you do not want added into one's personal dictionary used in Firefox. How do I remove the word 'intsead' out of it? I tried some tutorials on the web that said to find ~/.mozilla/*.default/persdict.dat, but I could not see one. As well, others have complained that this file no longer exists in Firefox 3.

  • JDBCRealm can't find sqlite file

    My authentication fails with java.sql.SQLException: no such table: credentials where credentials is the name of the user/password table. I have checked the db file and the table is there. I think you also get this error when sqlite jdbc can't even find the file. I am specifying my realm in a META-INF/context.xml file. Is there any trick to getting the path right? I have tried just about everything I can think of.

    I need to find all compressed files/folders regardless of file format on a Windows Server 2003 machine. Search options do not provide this capability. Is there a way to list/view all compressed files? Perhaps, this can be done by PowerShell using file/folder attributes and put into a txt file with file location. UPD: Under compressed files/folders - I mean files which appear in blue color in Explorer after changing file/folder attribute.

    Hi, I have the following command: find Acc*\bin\Debug\*.pdb > temp.txt Looking in temp.txt, I have: Accounting/bin/Debug/Accounting.pdb Accounting/bin/Debug/BackendProcess.pdb NOTE the forward slashes. Why does it output file names like this? And how do I get it to output backslashes, so I can use del on those files? Thanks

  • Can't find Role Services in Windows 7

    I'm trying to install PHP on Windows 7 Home Premium using these instructions: Using FastCGI to Host PHP Applications on IIS 7 and a 1/3 of the way down on the page I have to do this: Server Manager -> Roles -> Add Role Services and just cannot find Roles or Role Services. Any ideas? PHP is giving me a 500 error and I'm wondering if it's because I haven't done this role services thing.

    I'm trying to setup a bash process for deploying my django project onto a linux server. Through cygwin, I'm running a script that is calling scp to copy my files over. Is there a similar command to delete *.pyc files. As of now, I've only been able to accomplish this locally after using ssh with: find . -name "*.pyc" -exec rm -rf {} \; I'm looking for some kind of command to call remotely that would be equivalent.

  • SCCM SP2 - Cannot Find amtopmgr.log File

    Hi, I've installed SCCM SP2 - primary site, management point. I imported to it a vPro computer, but it's AMT status is "Unknown" instead of "Not Provisioned". I wanted to check the reason, but I can't find the file amtopmgr.log (it should be there). Why this file wasn't created? How can I solve it? (I tried to create this file manually - didn't help...)   • Windows cannot find the host name "download.microsoft.com" using DNS

    When trying to download a file found on the Microsoft downloads center that starts with, for example, http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/8/7/(some_GUID)/(some_file_name.ext) i get a timeout with "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". More information says: Internet connectivity has been lost. The website is temporarily unavailable. The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable. The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain. If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section. Diagnose Connection problems says: Windows cannot find the host name "download.microsoft.com" using DNS Bear with me while i expand on the problem: It all started when i tried to download Windows XP mode for my Windows 7 machine. I went to the virtual PC site, then thru the motions of Windows Genuine Advantage which validated ok, but when it redirects to grab the file just times out with above error. (NB: i also tried with the latest Chrome and Firefox but no use due to the Genuine Advantage stuff, so i decided to stick with IE). I am behind an ADSL2+ modem router connecting via wireless (Win 7 Pro laptop); so i hop over to the desktop connected via ethernet (Vista Business), and same result; begin to think site download.microsoft.com site is down. So i give it a break an read up on EDNS, flushing the cache, hosts file, etc... Try again an hour later on the Win 7 machine, still no go; so i turn off the Win 7 (software) firewall, and lo and behold, i can connect and grab any files from download.microsoft.com; (...nice, so we have a Micro$0ft firewall preventing access to a Micro$0ft website, no wonder my auto-updates kept failing but that's another story). But i still am not happy that the desktop connected via ethernet still cannot get to download.microsoft.com, even though i turned off all firewalls, defenders, anti-virus, etc. What is so special / specific about the url download.microsoft.com, any other site is ok, including www.microsoft.com. Any networking guru know what's REALLY going on, and how can i get the desktop to connect? Ping download.microsoft.com - Ping request could not find host download.microsoft.com. Please check the name and try again. Ping google.com or even www.microsoft.com works gives me an IP address. NB: On the wireless laptop ping download.microsoft.com works, i get xxxx.ms.akamai.net [202.7.177.33].

    I am trying to solve the "Can't find hypervisor information in sysfs" problem when invoking "xm". I have found in some sites that the solution is to rename *10_linux* into *50_linux*, however if I do this, whenever I reboot my computer, the memtest starts (so I have to reset the previous grub configuration through a live cd). I am aware that it might be a silly question, but does anyone have a workaround?

  • How to find out Vim's currently mapped commandos

    I'm using Vim under Debian, Win Vista and WinXP (the latter two with Cygwin). To handle tabs more easily, I mapped <C-Left> and <C-Right> to :tab(prev|next). This mapping works like a charm on the Debian machine. On the Windows machines, however, pressing <C-Left> deletes 5 lines, as far as I can tell, and meddles with cursor position, while <C-Right> does this, too, and additionally enters Insert mode. Question: To put it in a nutshell, how can I find out, why Vim behaves as it does? Is there a way to backtrace the active commands and keystrokes? Could there be a plugin the culprit? (I didn't install one, perhaps a default include by the Cygwin distro...) If so, how can I find it? Additional Diagnosis: This behaviour occurs regardless of any existing ~/.vimrc file (is therefore not related to my above mentioned mapings) and is not inherited of some /etc/vim/vimrc, since this doesn't exist in the default Cygwin installation. :verbose map doesn't yield any new insights. Either nothing or my mentioned mappings appear, based on the existence of the .vimrc file :help <C-Left> suggests, that the default would be a simple cursor movement, which is apparently not the case.   • Active Directory: Viewing "Attribute Editor" after finding an account via ADUC's "Find" option

    When I activate the Advanced features (View - Advanced Features) and open a user's properties by navigating to their OU and right clicking the user object, I see the Attribute Editor tab. However, if I search for a user (right click the domain - Find - search for the user), and double click on the user, I do not see the tab. I cannot normally navigate to users because some OUs have too many users. Can someone suggest an alternative that allows me to view the Attribute Editor tab?

  • MATLAB cannot find its own libraries

    I am having a problem with a new installation of MATLAB (2012b) that is cannot find the base enumberation type Simulink.IntEnumType. The specific error text is: specified superclass 'Simulink.IntEnumType' contains a parse error or cannot be found on MATLAB's search path, possibly shadowed by another file with the same name I am quite sure there is no shadowing, so I suspect there is a problem with the installation. Any ideas what could have gone wrong?
