    It has been a few days so far that I am trying to figure how to solve this problem. First of all, I am running a website with an average daily page view of 350,000. Previously, all ads management (tracking click and impression that each ads has served) and content were served in a single server with the following spec: Server 1 OS: Windows 2008 R2 64-Bit CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 - 4 cores RAM: 8 GB Storage: 2 x 1 TB hard drives Bandwidth: 10 TB per month To improve our website speed, I decided to separate the ads management script to another dedicated server because we have more than 15 advertisers to 30 advertisers per each page. Server 2 OS: Windows 2008 R2 64-Bit CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 - 4 cores RAM: 4 GB Storage: 2 x 300 GB hard drives Bandwidth: 10 TB per month The Problem The problem is that Server 1 can handle both content and ads system. Now, that I take away the ads system and put it at Server 2. Server 2 can barely serve only ads system. Test First of all, I moved 75% of the ads to Server 2. And then, perform a ping to server: ping -t xxxxx. [I did the ping for 10 minutes and its following similar pattern as below] Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=290ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=289ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=320ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=286ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=286ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=348ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=284ms TTL=116 Then, I moved 100% of the ads to Server 2. Then, perform a ping to server again. [I did the ping for 10 minutes and its following similar pattern as below] Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=290ms TTL=116 Request timed out Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=320ms TTL=116 Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=286ms TTL=116 Request timed out Request timed out Reply from xxxxx bytes=32 time=284ms TTL=116 Attempts Increase MaxUserPort and TcpNumConnection Restart the server Increase IIS Max Instances and Instance MaxRequests Server Resource Only 10%-15% of the network connection is used Only 10%-15% of the CPU is used Only 25% of the memory is used

    Hi, I am getting "ASP.NET Session Expired" error when viewing SQL Server 2008 reports using the Microsoft ReportViewer web control. I found this article http://balanagaraj.wordpress.com/2009/09/25/session-has-expired-in-asp-net/ which suggests to use one worker process in IIS application pool, but that may affect performance, is there any other solution for this? I tried setting "AsyncRendering" to false already and that didn't work.

    I have downloaded the Ajax control toolkit; I have created a new tab in VS 2008 (SP1) toolbox, added the controls from the AjaxControlToolkit.dll,everything went fine. When I removed the toolbox and tried to perform the same steps as above, it didn't work anymore... That is, in the window shown for the "Choose items", the controls are't anutomatically added to the list, as before. What should I do?

I also have installed Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP that includes Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone CTP.     I just installed SQL 2008 Express and want to create an Access project (ADP). When I get to the Microsoft SQL Server Database Wizard in Access and after clicking on next to create the database I get this message: The new database wizard does not work with the version of Microsoft SQL Server to which you Access project is connected. See the Microsoft Update Web site for the latest information an downloads I can't find any solution to the problem so far. Any ideas why and how to solve this problem?

    Hi, Environment is: Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Slik-Subversion-1.6.11-x64 TortoiseSVN-1.6.8.19260-x64-svn-1.6.11 I have setted up svn srvice based on Jeff Atwood guidlines and can connect work with host via svn command lines like svn list svn://localhost, but TortoiseSVN can't connect to it even on server machine itself. All firewall types are off. TortoiseSVN error message is: Can't connect to host 'localhost': No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. How can I solve this problem? I am guessing computer resources determine that limit (if it exists), but I am also wondering if there is a theoretical limit. I have tried googling the answer, but all the information I have found is based upon earlier versions of SQL Server. If there is a limit, does it apply to just a database or a SQL Server instance?

    I've been trying to upload a file to the database using SQL SERVER 2008 Filestream and Impersonation technique to save the file in the file system, but i keep getting Access Denied error; even though i've set the permissions for the impersonating user to the Filestream folder(C:\SQLFILESTREAM\Dev_DB). when i debugged the code, i found the server return a unc path(\Server_Name\MSSQLSERVER\v1\Dev_LMDB\dbo\FileData\File_Data\13C39AB1-8B91-4F5A-81A1-940B58504C17), which was not accessible through windows explorer. I've my web application hosted on local maching(Windows 7). SQL Server is located on a remote server(Windows Server 2008 R2). Sql authentication was used to call the stored procedure. This used to work perfectly fine, because I was running Visual Studio 2008. However, one of my developers use C# Express Edition and they need to do a similar thing.
