atlbase.h not found when using Visual C++ Express 2010

So I tried moving my project to Visual C++ Express 2010 on Windows 7 from a previous version on Windows XP. I got all sorts of errors where atlbase.h was not found. This isn't so much a question but I wanted to document what my resolution was for others. Copied the following PlatformSDK files from my previous install and put them on my Windows 7 machine. PlatformSDK/include/atl PlatformSDK/include/mfc PlatformSDK/lib PlatformSDK/src/atl I then change the VC++ Directories in the project Properties to point to those directories. Include Directories- *include/atl *include/mfc Library Directories- *lib Source Directories- *src/atl Make a change to stdafx.h right after this line: #include "atlbase.h" add this line: extern CComModule _Module; Hopefully you're ready to go now! Probably not but perhaps you are well on your way.

Adding a link to image breaks jquery slider, help please!

Hi All, I am working on a site for a friend and trying to add a link to each image in a slide show. The slide show uses jquery and a script called easySlider1.7.js. Everything works just fine if the images are left alone, but when I try and wrap the images with a link, the slides no longer progress as they should. Cannot export a fusionchart with 'Embedding Charts Using <OBJECT>/<EMBED> Tags'

I am trying to export a fusion chart created using 'Embedding Charts Using / Tags'. Export works just perfect with the right click (on the chart) and chose a pdf to export. But I am not able to make this work via javascript. ADT will not allow creation of Android Activity

I installed the ADT bundle from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html yesterday, and I was following a basic Hello World tutorial. I created a new Android Application Project with a Blank Activity named MainActivity. The resulting project has an empty src folder and empty res\layout folder. There is a R.java file in the gen folder but it has no reference to MainActivity. This is what the SDK manager says I have installed Android SDK Tools v 22.6 Android SDK Platform-tools v 19.0.1 Android SDK Build-tools v 19 SDK Platform v 3 ARM EABI v7a System Image v 2 Android Support Library v 19.0.1 Google USB Driver v 9 I also tried manually creating an activity by right clicking the src folder and going to Android Activity, but when I hit Finish on the creation wizard, nothing happens. Does anyone have any clues as to what's going on? Did I miss a key component to install or something?

PHP code not working on IE

I have a website with a flag. If it is clicked, the language of the website changes. I assume that it might be a setting of IE. But what could that be?

Help with javascript form validation

I am getting a headache with form validation and hoping that the kind folks here can give me a hand finishing this sucker up I have it basically working except the email validation is very simplistic (only alerts if it is blank but does not actually check it if is a valid email address) and I am relying on ugly alerts but would like to have it reveal a hidden error div instead of the alert. Programatically Determining Bin Path

I'm working on a web app called pj and there is a bin file and a src folder. The relative paths before I deploy the app will look something like: pj/bin and pj/src/pj/script.py. However, after deployment, the relative paths will look like: pj_dep/deployed/bin and pj_dep/deployed/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pj/script.py Question: Within script.py, I am trying to find the path of a file in the bin directory. This leads to 2 different behaviors in the dev and deployment environment. If I do os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), 'bin') to try to get the path for the dev environment, I will have a different path for the deployment environment. Is there a more generalized way I can find the bin directory so that I do not need to rely on an if statement to determine how many directories to go up based on the current env? This doesn't seem flexible and might cause other issues later on when the code is moved.

Fetch pages translated by Google? (PHP)

Hi, I have a bunch of big txt files (game walkthroughs) that I need translating from English to French. My first instinct was to host them on a server and use a PHP script to automate the translation process by doing a file_get_contents() and some URL manipulation to get the translated text. Something like: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=fr&sl=en&u=http://mysite.com/faq.txt I found it poses two problems: 1) there are frames 2) the frame src values are relative (ie src="/translate_c?....") so nothing loads. Is there any way to fetch pages translated via Google in PHP (without using their AJAX API as it's really not suitable here)?

Shadowbox not working in IE

Hi guys, I have a bit of a problem with my shadowbox, it works fine in FF, but it refuses to work in IE 7 or 8. Can u show me completed html code where it is some rectangle in it with "height=75% of my screen" and "widtht=4/3 of height". Java regex replace multiple file paths in a large String

So a Regex pro I am not, and I'm looking for a good way to do this. I have a large string which contains a variable number <img> tags. I need to change the path on all of these images to images/. The large string also contains other stuff not just these img's. <img src='http://server.com/stuff1/img1.jpg' /> <img src='http://server.com/stuff2/img2.png' /> Replacing the server name with a ReplaceAll() I could do, it's the variable path in the middle I'm clueless on how to include. It doesn't necessarily need to be a regex, but looping through the entire string just seems wasteful.

How to Properly Reference a JavaScript File in an ASP.NET Project?

Hi Guys I have some pages that reference javascript files. The application exists locally in a Virtual Directory, i.e. http://localhost/MyVirtualDirectory/MyPage.aspx so locally I reference the files as follows: <script src="/MyVirtualDirectory/Scripts/MyScript.js" type="text/javascript"></script> The production setup is different though. The application exists as its own web site in production, so I don't need to include the reference to the virtual directory. The problem with this is that I need to modify every file that contains a javascript reference so it looks like the following: <script src="../Scripts/MyScript.js" type="text/javascript"></script> I've tried referencing the files this way in my local setup but it doesn't work. Am I going about this completely wrong? Can somebody tell me what I need to do? Thanks

Hi -i'm trying to find all the anchor tags and appending the href value with a variable. for example <a href="/page.aspx">link</a> will become <a href="/page.aspx?id=2"> <A hRef='http://www.google.com'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> will become <A hRef='http://www.google.com?id=2'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> I'm able to match all the anchor tags and href values using regex, then i manually replace the values using string.replace, however i dont think its the efficient way to do this. Is there a solution where i can use something like regex.replace(html,newurlvalue)

.wmv player not working
