• QueryString From Shared Function

  I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?

  I am using ASP.NET MVC 2. Html.DropDownListFor and Html.TextAreaFor automatically get red borders when the validation fails. How to make the four borders of a TextBox (using Html.TextBoxFor) red when it fails validation? For example, I have a TextBox that is required and when the user submits the form without specifying a value in the textbox, I want the textbox to have red borders.

(That means all the .cs, .csproj files will be included in the published folder) So far I can think that the published folder's total size may become a little bigger (but that a negligible issue for me).

Could not load file or assembly 'HR' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040). I have replced DFI with HR in the code. Please help, Thank you

  Is there a way to prevent the user from selecting a file that is not a specified file type when they browser for the file on their computer? For example, when a user browseses to upload an image file I would for them to only see images (jpg, png, ect.) that are less than 20mb.   I am creating a kiosk application and I want to ensure it is always, no matter what, on top of other Windows applications and the Windows task bar. I am already blocking Windows keyboard commands (alt-tab, etc) but there are still situations that could cause an application to launch and steal the screen. Is it possible to hook into Windows from .NET and continually test whether the application has focus and is on top, and if not then give it focus and make it on top?

I don't understand in .net why we have Asychronous calling (delegate.BeginInvoke() & delegate.EndInvoke()) as well as Thread class? I'm little confused which one to use when?
