• Trying to install mysql then lots of brew doctor errors

  I couldn't install mysql I get this brew install mysql Error: You must `brew link cmake' before mysql can be installed so then I type brew ink cmake Linking /usr/local/Cellar/cmake/2.8.8... Error: Could not symlink file: /usr/local/Cellar/cmake/2.8.8/share/doc/cmake /usr/local/share/doc is not writable. You should change its permissions. when I typed brew doctor I get this Error: Some directories in /usr/local/share/locale aren't writable. This can happen if you "sudo make install" software that isn't managed by Homebrew. If a brew tries to add locale information to one of these directories, then the install will fail during the link step.   I am trying to test a simple WCF tcp.net client/server app. The WCF service is being hosted on Windows 7 IIS. I have enabled TCP.net in IIS. I granted liberal security privileges to service app by configuring an app pool with admin rights and set the IIS service application to run in the context. I enabled tracing on the service app to troubleshoot. Whenever I run a simple method call against the service from the WCF client app, I get the following exception: "Stream Security is required at http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/anonymous, but no security context was negotiated. This is likely caused by the remote endpoint missing a StreamSecurityBindingElement from its binding." • Installing an exe with Powershell DSC Package resource gets return code 1619

  I'm trying to use Powershell DSC's Package resource to install an exe... Perforce's P4V to be specific. Here's my code: Configuration PerforceMachine { Node "SERVERNAME" { Package P4V { Ensure = "Present" Name = "Perforce Visual Components" Path = "\\nas\share\p4vinst64.exe" ProductId = '' Arguments = "/S /V/qn" # args for silent mode LogPath = "$env:ProgramData\p4v_install.log" } } } When running this, this is the error Powershell gives me: PowerShell provider MSFT_PackageResource failed to execute Set-TargetResource functionality with error message: The return code 1619 was not expected. Configuration is likely not correct + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (:) [], CimException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ProviderOperationExecutionFailure + PSComputerName : SERVERNAME According to documentation, return code 1619 means the MSI package couldn't be opened. However, when I manually log in to the machine and run "\\nas\share\p4vinst64.exe /S /V/qn", the install works flawlessly. Does anyone know why this is failing? Alternately, can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this? I pasted all the error information I got from the terminal, my log file (p4v_install.log) is a 0 byte file, and there are no events in the event viewer. I don't know how to troubleshoot it any further! EDIT: I should note that I also tried using the File resource to copy the file locally, and then install it from there. Sadly, that met with the same result.

  Hi Guys, I'm having few doubts on implementing file downloads. I'm creating an app where I use attachment_fu with Amazon s3 to upload files. Things are working pretty well so far on uploading side. Now its the time to start the file downloads. Here is what I need, a logged in user search and browse for Images and they should able to add the files in to a download basket (Let's say its a Download Shopping Cart). Finally the user should be able to download these file(s) from S3 probably as a zipped file. Is there any plugin/gem where I can use for this?

• Error adding certificate to cacerts. Unknown key spec

  I am using jdk 1.6 in Windows. I have a .der file (DER Encoded X509 Certificate) that will like to add to my cacerts file... so I tried the following: keytool -import -keystore "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_27\jre\lib\security\cacerts" -trustcacerts -alias openldap -file "C:\cacert.der" I got the following error: java.security.cert.CertificateParsingException: java.io.IOException: subject key, java.security.spec.InvalidKeySpecException: Unknown key spec At first, I thoght it was a problemen with the der certificate, but then doing the following I got exactly the same error: keytool -list -keystore "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_27\jre\lib\security\cacerts" Any ideas why is this problem appearing? I have not found anything in the Web. Thanks in advance.

• Telerik RadWindow does not fire ClientCallBackFunction after a ajax an __DoPostBack

  HI, I have a Telerik radwindow that allows our users to upload files. When the user first opens the radwindow and sees the upload fields, they can happily select a file and upload it. The window then returns the id of the uploaded file back to the parent page via the ClientCallBackFunction. This function then passes in the ID to a javascript function that calls __DoPostback so that we can populate the list of uploaded files. First time around it works a treat. However all subsequent times it fails to call ClientCallBackFunction unless i refresh the entire page. I also note that any other control on the parent page to uses an ajax postback also stops the ClientCallBackFunction begin called, even on the first time. any ideas? Thanks Richard

  I'm using VS2010 RC while targeting .NET 3.5. I can run code analysis via Visual Studio without a problem. However, when I try to run code analysis on our CI server it isn't getting executed. I want to migrate a old ASP Web Solution with DCOM Connection to SAP from Windows 2000 Server to Windows 2008 Server. When I try to install the DCOM Connector I get the Error Message: "Setup could not find ActivX(R) Data Objects verion 2.5 or higher on your computer...." • How do I use a relative path in XDocument.Load?

  I have an XML file named PageData.xml in my App_Data folder. I want to populate an XDocument with this file using XDocument.Load. If I supply the full physical path it works, i.e.: XDocument vXDoc = XDocument.Load("/Work/Project/Web/100413 Dev/App_Data/PageData.xml"); ...where "Work" is a folder on my C: drive. If I try a relative path like this, though, I get a DirectoryNotFoundException: XDocument vXDoc = XDocument.Load("AppData/PageData.xml"); "Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DevServer\10.0\AppData\PageData.xml'." This is obviously wrong, but there must be an easy way to set the correct relative path? What am I overlooking? Your help is appreciated.

• Canon EDSDK 2.8 (Xcode 3.2.2 - Snow Leopard 10.6.3)

  I'm trying to build an application using the Canon EDSDK 2.8. I created a new Cocoa Application project in Xcode, and imported the headers and framework files. When I try to build and run (without writing any code), I get two warnings that say the frameworks are missing x86_64 architecture files. If I try and import the "EDSDK.h" header file, I end up with about 100 miscellaneous errors. I've tried changing the architecture to i386, however when I try and build and run, I get a debugger error that says "Cannot access memory at address 0x0". The odd thing is that I can get the example applications bundled with the SDK to compile and run without issues, Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

  I just installed the POCO Template for EF4. I have a single entity in my model, AnnouncementText, and the T4 files seem to be properly generated. Attempting to access this new entity is throwing the following error when I access the auto-generated property MyObjectContext.AnnouncementTexts: InvalidOperationException: Mapping and metadata information could not be found for EntityType 'MyNamespace.AnnouncementText'. The properties on the AnnouncementText POCO seem to match up with the columns in the database, and I haven't changed any of the auto-generated code. The application is written in Weblogic Workshop 10, runs on Weblogic Server 10.3, and uses Beehive / NetUI. Not sure if that would make a difference or not though. The build scripts were automatically generated by Weblogic Workshop, with some tweaks and fixes made to other aspects of the files by myself to fix other compatability issues. I am using Java 1.6.0_23 from Sun, and Ant 1.8.1 Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I attempt to pass an XElement from GUI project to a method in the Logic project, I am getting (basically) "XElement is not of type XElement" errors. To complicate matter, I am unable to edit the Logic layer project. The Non-Silverlight DLL is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\v3.5\System.Xml.Linq.dll THe Silverlight DLL is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v3.0\Libraries\Client\System.Xml.Linq.dll I am new to C# but I'm fairly sure my issue is that I am referencing different DLL's to access the System.Xml.Linq namespace. I attempted to replace my non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq.dll with the Silverlight's System.Xml.Linq.dll, but received assembly errors. Is there any way to resolve this short of scrapping my WPF GUI project and creating a Silverlight project?

• Uploading a zip file to a jsp and extract the content in another jsp

  I want to upload a zip file in a jsp page and the user is sent to another jsp page after he selects and uploads the file. In this second page I want to 1.)extract the uploaded zip file. 2.)read some content from the extracted file(s) and allow the user to change/edit them 3.)save the user changes in the files. 4.)zip the files again and save it in another destination. Please suggest me a rough outline of a solution as I am stuck in the phase in which I get the uploaded file and re-direct the user to the second jsp.

• MSBuild Script and VS2010 publish apply Web.config Transform

  So, I have VS 2010 installed and am in the process of modifying my MSBuild script for our TeamCity build integration. Everything is working great with one exception. How can I tell MSBuild that I want to apply the Web.conifg transform files that I've created when I publish the build... I have the following which produces the compiled web site but, it outputs a Web.config, Web.Debug.config and, Web.Release.config files (All 3) to the compiled output directory. • Sqlite catalog and schema settings (for MyBatis generator)

  I have been trying to use the MyBatis generator on a Sqlite database but can't seem to find what settings to use for the XML attributes catalog and schema. • Philosophy of [WebInvoke(ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json)]

  Hi everyone, I'm writing what I'm referring to as a POJ (Plain Old JSON) WCF web service - one that takes and emits standard JSON with none of the crap that ASP.NET Ajax likes to add to it. It seems that there are three steps to accomplish this: Change to in the endpoint's tag Decorate the method with [WebInvoke(ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json)] Add an incantation of [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] to the service contract This is all working OK for me - I can pass in and am being returned nice plain JSON. If I remove the WebInvoke attribute, then I get XML returned instead, so it is certainly doing what it is supposed to do. But it strikes me as odd that the option to specify JSON output appears here and not in the configuration file. Say I wanted to expose my method as an XML endpoint too - how would I do this? Currently the only way I can see would be to have a second method that does exactly the same thing but does not have WebMethodFormat.Json specified. Then rinse and repeat for every method in my service? Yuck. Specifying that the output should be serialized to JSON in the attribute seems to be completely contrary to the philosophy of WCF, where the service is implemented is a transport and encoding agnostic manner, leaving the nasty details of how the data will be moved around to the configuration file. Is there a better way of doing what I want to do? Or are we stuck with this awkward attribute? Or do I not understanding WCF deeply enough?

• Can't open .svn/text-base/file.svn-base ?

  I'm using TortoiseSVN. I just made quite a few changes to my working copy and now I went to do a commit some of the files went through but at one file named Search.aspx.cs it says Commit failed (details follow): Can't open file 'C:\-----\trunk\.svn\text-base\Search.aspx.cs.svn-base': The system cannot find the file specified. I have tried doing a SVN update and SVN cleanup and nothing is restoring this file. I can't even create a diff because it gives a similar error about missing files. How do I fix this? What did I do to cause it?

• java.lang.ClassFormatError: Extra bytes at end of class file

  I'm getting an odd error when I try and run this program. The class compiles fine into multiple .class files and I compiled it last week (before editing it) just fine. But now, I see this: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassFormatError: Extra bytes at the end of class file blah/hooplah/fubar/nonsense/IndexId$Transaction From what I've looked up, Java 6 build 1.5 could fix it since it allows extra bytes at the end of class files (I think), but I would much rather use build 1.6. Any clear ideas on how this happened or how to fix it?

• GLFW 3 initialized, yet not?

  I'm struggling with creating a window with the GLFW 3 function, glfwCreateWindow. I have set an error callback function, that pretty much just prints out the error number and description, and according to that the GLFW library have not been initialized, even though the glfwInit function just returned success? I think I'm getting the error because of the setup isn't entirely correct, but I've done the best I can with what I could find around the place I downloaded the windows 32 from glfw.org and stuck the 2 includes files from it into minGW/include/GLFW, the 2 .a files (from the lib-mingw folder) into minGW/lib and the dll, also from the lib-mingw folder, into Windows/System32 In code::blocks I have, from build options - linker settings, linked the 2 .a files from the download. I believe I need to link more things, but I can figure out what, or where I should get those things from.

• NFS to NFS mount

  I have a machine that I need to bridge NFS files to. Can I mount an NFS directory on machine2 from machine1 and then mount the mounted NFS directory on machine2 on machine3 via NFS? Do you see any problems with that? I am basically bridging some subnet domains this way, in a certain fashion. My development machine is on a different and separate (unbridged) than where I would like to use the files, and I would like this machine1(dev machine) - machine2(passthrough machine) - machine3(test machine) connection. And no there is no way to move the test machine as it's a chassis :) and it's two buildings away.
