  • Is it possible to convert text to shape in VML /canvas/SVG ?

    Hello, I need to display a text in 3D using vml/canvas/svg and do some transformation to the shape of the text like the effect of Ctrl+T in photoshop, even align a line of text to a curve, is there a way to convert text to shape first? The only thing close is getImageData() in firefox which is not ideal but OK. Any better methods? Using browser-specific hacks or voodoo is OK, but no Flash please :)

    Is it possible to change the style of a WinForm border? I know that if the border is removed, it takes away the functionality to resize the program. Therefore is there a way to change the style of it? At the moment, I've removed the text from the border, set the "FormBorderStyle" to "SizableToolWindow" and set the "ControlBox" to false.   • How do I track the method the user is looking at in VS 2010 IDE as an Addin

    I have been wandering around the object model for VS 2010 and haven't been able to work out the best method for watching what the user is looking at in the main edit window. I know that each Class/method/property is broken down into its own . What I would ideally like is to hook to an event which says "The user has moved the cursor onto Project.Class.Method" and ideally "and is looking at line 4". Any suggestions?

    Hi, I am using xdebug plugin for vim. After making few changes i was able to run debugger but not able to set breakpoints. So, I enabled xdebug.remote_log and below is the log statements corresponding to setting breakpoint. <- breakpoint_set -i 5 -t line -f file:///C:\htdocs\testLocal.php -n 36 - Its issuing request to debugger in proper format only but no idea why debugger is returning "command is not avilable". Please let me know if anything is wrong.

  • SubSonic error: db.tables with a ~ in the name result in a "Character is not valid" error

    I renamed a database table and added a ~ character to the table name (my way of notifying it is a backup of something). After generating the SubSonic files, my Visual Studio gives a "Character not valid" error on file "AllStructs.vb" When looking into this file the following line of code was generated; Public Shared ReadOnly DbTable1~old As String = "dbtable1~old". I assume this character has to be filtered out of the db.table names when generating the SubSonic names?

  • Passing JSP parameter to javascript won't work in IE8!

I've got a servlet that generates an XML string (relatively long) which I then pass to a javascript variable in a forwarded jsp file: $(document).ready(function() { ... var itXML = <% out.print((String)request.getAttribute("xml"));% ; ... } This seems to work just fine in Firefox but when I run the same project on IE8 I get a syntax error for this line.   • Seeing release markers in svn log

    Whenever we make a release of a project we'll create a tag to capture the snapshot. It will be very helpful to be able to see which revisions in the trunk history were used in certain releases. I know the TortoiseSVN revision graph shows this information, but I'm wondering if there's a way to see it in the command-line svn log? I'm coming from a Clearcase background where we'll be able to see the release labels in the history.

    We have a setup project that produces an uncompressed MSI file and no Setup.exe at all, to be later compressed by NSIS. In a special build setting, I want to copy that MSI before it's being wrapped by NSIS, change the copy, and keep it. I would also like to compress it, after it has been created by the msbuild. Is there a simple way (command line tool of some kind, maybe?) I can use to just compress an already created msi file?
