  • How do I make this scroll layout work?

    - by JuiCe
    I am currently trying to get my UI to have a Title Bar, a bottom Button bar, with a ScrollView in between. I can get bits and pieces of it to work, but once I get a different piece working, the old part goes back to not showing up. Here is a picture of my UI on the left, with what I want it to look like on the right...(sorry for the sloppiness, I edited it in MS Paint :P ) To sum it up, I want the Version and Type fields to be moved with room for the other TextViews in the XML file, and I want both buttons to appear on the bottom bar. EDIT : The buttons on the bottom should be equal in size, I'm not too talented in making boxes in MS Paint EDIT 2 : Sorry....here is my XML file <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:weightSum="1.0" > <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" > <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" android:text="SN : " /> <TextView android:id="@+id/serialNumberView" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" /> <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" android:text="Ver : " /> <TextView android:id="@+id/versionView" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" /> <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" android:text="Type : " /> <TextView android:id="@+id/typeView" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" /> </LinearLayout> <ScrollView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" > <LinearLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_weight="1"> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/floatCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Float" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/tripCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Trip" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/closeCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Close" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/blockedCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Blocked" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/hardTripCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Hard Trip" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/phaseAngleCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Phase angle wrong for closing" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/diffVoltsCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Differential volts too low" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/networkVoltsCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Network volts too low to close" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/usingDefaultsCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Using Defaults( Reprogram )" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/relaxedCloseActiveCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Relaxed Close Active" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/commBoardDetectedCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Comm Board Detected" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/antiPumpBlock" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Anti-Pump Block" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/motorCutoffCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Motor Cutoff Inhibit" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/phaseRotationCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Phase Rotation Wrong" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/usingDefaultDNPCheck" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text= "Using Default DNP Profile" /> </LinearLayout> </ScrollView> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_weight="1" > <Button android:id="@+id/button3" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="Back" /> <Button android:id="@+id/button3" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="Read" /> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout>

  • Minimum-Waste Print Job Grouping Algorithm?

    - by Matt Mc
    I work at a publishing house and I am setting up one of our presses for "ganging", in other words, printing multiple jobs simultaneously. Given that different print jobs can have different quantities, and anywhere from 1 to 20 jobs might need to be considered at a time, the problem would be to determine which jobs to group together to minimize waste (waste coming from over-printing on smaller-quantity jobs in a given set, that is). Given the following stable data: All jobs are equal in terms of spatial size--placement on paper doesn't come into consideration. There are three "lanes", meaning that three jobs can be printed simultaneously. Ideally, each lane has one job. Part of the problem is minimizing how many lanes each job is run on. If necessary, one job could be run on two lanes, with a second job on the third lane. The "grouping" waste from a given set of jobs (let's say the quantities of them are x, y and z) would be the highest number minus the two lower numbers. So if x is the higher number, the grouping waste would be (x - y) + (x - z). Otherwise stated, waste is produced by printing job Y and Z (in excess of their quantities) up to the quantity of X. The grouping waste would be a qualifier for the given set, meaning it could not exceed a certain quantity or the job would simply be printed alone. So the question is stated: how to determine which sets of jobs are grouped together, out of any given number of jobs, based on the qualifiers of 1) Three similar quantities OR 2) Two quantities where one is approximately double the other, AND with the aim of minimal total grouping waste across the various sets. (Edit) Quantity Information: Typical job quantities can be from 150 to 350 on foreign languages, or 500 to 1000 on English print runs. This data can be used to set up some scenarios for an algorithm. For example, let's say you had 5 jobs: 1000, 500, 500, 450, 250 By looking at it, I can see a couple of answers. Obviously (1000/500/500) is not efficient as you'll have a grouping waste of 1000. (500/500/450) is better as you'll have a waste of 50, but then you run (1000) and (250) alone. But you could also run (1000/500) with 1000 on two lanes, (500/250) with 500 on two lanes and then (450) alone. In terms of trade-offs for lane minimization vs. wastage, we could say that any grouping waste over 200 is excessive. (End Edit) ...Needless to say, quite a problem. (For me.) I am a moderately skilled programmer but I do not have much familiarity with algorithms and I am not fully studied in the mathematics of the area. I'm I/P writing a sort of brute-force program that simply tries all options, neglecting any option tree that seems to have excessive grouping waste. However, I can't help but hope there's an easier and more efficient method. I've looked at various websites trying to find out more about algorithms in general and have been slogging my way through the symbology, but it's slow going. Unfortunately, Wikipedia's articles on the subject are very cross-dependent and it's difficult to find an "in". The only thing I've been able to really find would seem to be a definition of the rough type of algorithm I need: "Exclusive Distance Clustering", one-dimensionally speaking. I did look at what seems to be the popularly referred-to algorithm on this site, the Bin Packing one, but I was unable to see exactly how it would work with my problem. Any help is appreciated. :)

  • how to get vendor id and product id of a plugged usb device on windows

    - by new
    Hello all, I am using Qt on windows platform. i want to get and display vendor id and product id of a plugged usb device from my local system. Below is my full source code to get the vendor id and product id from the usb device. when i run the my qt application it does not throw me any errors . so i plug the usb device into the system. but my print statement displays the result as below qDebug ()<DevicePath; i get the result as 0x4 Whether i have any implementation mistakes in my source code ? if so please guide me what i am doing wrong.. Have i missed out any other functions ? Is it possible to get the vendor id and product id from the usb device based on my source code .( my implementation of the code ) ? kindly find my source code below static GUID GUID_DEVINTERFACE_USB_DEVICE = { 0xA5DCBF10L, 0x6530, 0x11D2, { 0x90, 0x1F, 0x00, 0xC0, 0x4F, 0xB9, 0x51, 0xED } }; HANDLE hInfo = SetupDiGetClassDevs(&GUID_DEVINTERFACE_USB_DEVICE,NULL,NULL,DIGCF_PRESENT | DIGCF_INTERFACEDEVICE); if ( hInfo == INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE ) { qDebug ()<<"invalid"; } else { qDebug ()<<"valid handle"; SP_DEVINFO_DATA DeviceInfoData; DeviceInfoData.cbSize = sizeof(SP_DEVINFO_DATA); SP_INTERFACE_DEVICE_DATA Interface_Info; Interface_Info.cbSize = sizeof(Interface_Info); BYTE Buf[1024]; DWORD i; DWORD InterfaceNumber= 0; PSP_DEVICE_INTERFACE_DETAIL_DATA pspdidd = (PSP_DEVICE_INTERFACE_DETAIL_DATA)Buf; for (i=0;SetupDiEnumDeviceInfo(hInfo,i,&DeviceInfoData);i++) { DWORD DataT; LPTSTR buffer = NULL; DWORD buffersize = 0; while (!SetupDiGetDeviceRegistryProperty( hInfo,&DeviceInfoData,SPDRP_DEVICEDESC,&DataT,(PBYTE)buffer,buffersize,&buffersize)) { if (GetLastError() == ERROR_INSUFFICIENT_BUFFER) { // Change the buffer size. if (buffer) LocalFree(buffer); buffer = (LPTSTR)LocalAlloc(LPTR,buffersize); } else { // Insert error handling here. break; } qDebug ()<<(TEXT("Device Number %i is: %s\n"),i, buffer); if (buffer) LocalFree(buffer); if ( GetLastError()!=NO_ERROR && GetLastError()!=ERROR_NO_MORE_ITEMS ) { // Insert error handling here. qDebug ()<<"return false"; } InterfaceNumber = 0; // this just returns the first one, you can iterate on this if (SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces(hInfo,NULL,&GUID_DEVINTERFACE_USB_DEVICE,InterfaceNumber,&Interface_Info)) { printf("Got interface"); DWORD needed; pspdidd->cbSize = sizeof(*pspdidd); SP_DEVICE_INTERFACE_DETAIL_DATA *pDetData = NULL; DWORD dwDetDataSize = sizeof (SP_DEVICE_INTERFACE_DETAIL_DATA) + 256; SetupDiGetDeviceInterfaceDetail(hInfo, &Interface_Info, pDetData,dwDetDataSize, NULL,&DeviceInfoData); qDebug ()<<pDetData->DevicePath; //qDebug ()<<QString::fromWCharArray(pDetData->DevicePath); } else { printf("\nNo interface"); //ErrorExit((LPTSTR) "SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces"); if ( GetLastError() == ERROR_NO_MORE_ITEMS) printf(", since there are no more items found."); else printf(", unknown reason."); } // Cleanup SetupDiDestroyDeviceInfoList(hInfo); qDebug ()<<"return true"; } } }

  • Why is my code returning a Null Object Refrence error when using WatIn?

    - by Fuzz Evans
    I keep getting a Null Object Refrence Error, but can't tell why. I have a CSV file that contains 100 urls. The file is read into an array called "lines". public partial class Form1 : System.Windows.Forms.Form { string[] lines; public Form1() ... private void ReadLinksIntoMemory() { //this reads the chosen csv file into our "lines" array //and splits on comma's and new lines to create new objects within the array using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(@"C:\temp.csv")) { //reads everything in our csv into 1 long line string fileContents = sr.ReadToEnd(); //splits the 1 long line read in into multiple objects of the lines array lines = fileContents.Split(new string[] { ",", Environment.NewLine }, StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries); sr.Dispose(); } } The next part is where I get the null object error. When I try to use WatIn to go to the first item in the lines array it says I'm referencing a null object. private void GoToEditLinks() { for (int i = 0; i < lines.Length; i++) { //go to each link sequentially myIE.GoTo(lines[i].ToString()); //sleep so we can make sure the page loads System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000); } } When I debug the code it says that the GoTo request calls lines which is null. It seems like I need to declare the array, but don't I need to tell it an exact size to do that? Example: lines = new string[10] I thought I could use the lines.Length to tell it how big to make the array but that didn't work. What is weird to me is I can use the following code without problem: //returns the accurate number of urls that were in the CSV we read in earlier txtbx1.text = lines.Length; //or //this returns the last entry in the csv, as well as the last entry in the array TextBox2.Text = lines[lines.Length - 1]; I am confused why the array clearly has items in it, they can be called to fill a text box, but when I try to call them in my for loop it says its a null reference? UPDATE: By placing my cursor on both calls to lines and pressing f12 I find they both go to the same instance. The thought next is that I am not calling ReadLinksIntoMemory in time, below is my code: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { button1.Enabled = false; ReadLinksIntoMemory(); GoToEditLinks(); button1.Enabled = true; } Unless I'm mistaken the code says that the ReadLinksIntoMemory method must complete before GoToEditLinks can be called? If ReadLinksIntoMemory didn't finish in time I shouldn't be able to fill my text boxes with the lines array length and/or last entry. UPDATE: Stepping into the method GoToEditLinks() I see that lines is null before it calls: myIE.GoTo(lines[i]); but when it hits the goto command the value changes from null to the url it is suppose to go to, but at that same time it gives me the null object error? UPDATE: I added a IsNullOrEmpty check method and lines array passes it without any issue. I'm beginning to think it is an issue with WatIn and the myIE.GoTo command. I think this is the stack trace/call stack? Program.exe!Program.Form1.GoToEditLinks() Line 284 C# Program.exe!Program.Form1.button1_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) Line 191 + 0x8 bytes C# [External Code] Program.exe!Program.Program.Main() Line 18 + 0x1d bytes C# [External Code]

  • getting base64 content string of an image from a mimepart in Java

    - by Bas van den Broek
    Hello, I am trying to get the base64 content of a MimePart in a MimeMultiPart, but I'm struggling with the Javamail package. I simply want the base64 encoded String of a certain inline image, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this though. I wrote a method that will take the mime content (as a string) and an image name as a parameter, and searches for the part that contains the base64 content of that image name, and in the end returns this base64 string (as well as the content type but that is irrelevant for this question) Here is the relevant code: private static String[] getBase64Content(String imageName, String mimeString) throws MessagingException, IOException { System.out.println("image name: " + imageName + "\n\n"); System.out.println("mime string: " + mimeString); String[] base64Content = new String[2]; base64Content[0] = ""; base64Content[1] = "image/jpeg"; //some default value DataSource source = new ByteArrayDataSource(new ByteArrayInputStream(mimeString.getBytes()), "multipart/mixed"); MimeMultipart mp = new MimeMultipart(source); for (int i = 0; i < mp.getCount(); i++) { MimePart part = (MimePart) mp.getBodyPart(i); String disposition = part.getDisposition(); if (disposition != null && disposition.equals(Part.INLINE)) { if (part.getContentID() != null && part.getContentID().indexOf(imageName) > -1) //check if this is the right part { if (part.getContent() instanceof BASE64DecoderStream) { BASE64DecoderStream base64DecoderStream = (BASE64DecoderStream) part.getContent(); StringWriter writer = new StringWriter(); IOUtils.copy(base64DecoderStream, writer); String base64decodedString = writer.toString(); byte[] encodedMimeByteArray = Base64.encodeBase64(base64decodedString.getBytes()); String encodedMimeString = new String(encodedMimeByteArray); System.out.println("encoded mime string: " + encodedMimeString); base64Content[0] = encodedMimeString; base64Content[1] = getContentTypeString(part); } } } } return base64Content; } I cannot paste all of the output as the post would be too long, but this is some of it: image name: [email protected] This is a part of the mimeString input, it does find this (correct) part with the image name: --_004_225726A14AF9134CB538EE7BD44373A04D9E3F3940menexch2007ex_ Content-Type: image/gif; name="image001.gif" Content-Description: image001.gif Content-Disposition: inline; filename="image001.gif"; size=1070; creation-date="Fri, 02 Apr 2010 16:19:43 GMT"; modification-date="Fri, 02 Apr 2010 16:19:43 GMT" Content-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 R0lGODlhEAAQAPcAABxuHJzSlDymHGy2XHTKbITCdNTu1FyqTHTCXJTKhLTarCSKHEy2JHy6bJza lITKfFzCPEyWPHS+XHzCbJzSjFS+NLTirBx6HHzKdOz27GzCZJTOjCyWHKzWpHy2ZJTGhHS+VLzi (more base64 string here that I'm not going to paste) But when it finally prints the encoded mime string, this is a different string than I was expecting: encoded mime string: R0lGODlhEAAQAO+/vQAAHG4c77+90pQ877+9HGzvv71cdO+/vWzvv73vv71077+977+977+9XO+/vUx077+9XO+/vcqE77+92qwk77+9HEzvv70kfO+/vWzvv73alO+ Clearly different from the one that has its output in the part above. I'm not even sure what I'm looking at here, but when I try to load this as an image in a html page, it won't work. This is fairly frustrating for me, since all I want is a piece of the text that I'm already printing, but I'd rather not have to search through the mime string myself for the correct part, introducing all kinds of bugs.So I'd really prefer to use the Javamail library but could use some help on how to actually get that correct mime string.

  • Blackberry - application settings save/load

    - by Max Gontar
    Hi! I know two ways to save/load application settings: use PersistentStore use filesystem (store, since SDCard is optional) I'd like to know what are you're practicies of working with application settings? Using PersistentStore to save/load application settings The persistent store provides a means for objects to persist across device resets. A persistent object consists of a key-value pair. When a persistent object is committed to the persistent store, that object's value is stored in flash memory via a deep copy. The value can then be retrieved at a later point in time via the key. Example of helper class for storing and retrieving settings: class PSOptions { private PersistentObject mStore; private LongHashtableCollection mSettings; private long KEY_URL = 0; private long KEY_ENCRYPT = 1; private long KEY_REFRESH_PERIOD = 2; public PSOptions() { // "AppSettings" = 0x71f1f00b95850cfeL mStore = PersistentStore.getPersistentObject(0x71f1f00b95850cfeL); } public String getUrl() { Object result = get(KEY_URL); return (null != result) ? (String) result : null; } public void setUrl(String url) { set(KEY_URL, url); } public boolean getEncrypt() { Object result = get(KEY_ENCRYPT); return (null != result) ? ((Boolean) result).booleanValue() : false; } public void setEncrypt(boolean encrypt) { set(KEY_ENCRYPT, new Boolean(encrypt)); } public int getRefreshPeriod() { Object result = get(KEY_REFRESH_PERIOD); return (null != result) ? ((Integer) result).intValue() : -1; } public void setRefreshRate(int refreshRate) { set(KEY_REFRESH_PERIOD, new Integer(refreshRate)); } private void set(long key, Object value) { synchronized (mStore) { mSettings = (LongHashtableCollection) mStore.getContents(); if (null == mSettings) { mSettings = new LongHashtableCollection(); } mSettings.put(key, value); mStore.setContents(mSettings); mStore.commit(); } } private Object get(long key) { synchronized (mStore) { mSettings = (LongHashtableCollection) mStore.getContents(); if (null != mSettings && mSettings.size() != 0) { return mSettings.get(key); } else { return null; } } } } Example of use: class Scr extends MainScreen implements FieldChangeListener { PSOptions mOptions = new PSOptions(); BasicEditField mUrl = new BasicEditField("Url:", "http://stackoverflow.com/"); CheckboxField mEncrypt = new CheckboxField("Enable encrypt", false); GaugeField mRefresh = new GaugeField("Refresh period", 1, 60 * 10, 10, GaugeField.EDITABLE|FOCUSABLE); ButtonField mLoad = new ButtonField("Load settings", ButtonField.CONSUME_CLICK); ButtonField mSave = new ButtonField("Save settings", ButtonField.CONSUME_CLICK); public Scr() { add(mUrl); mUrl.setChangeListener(this); add(mEncrypt); mEncrypt.setChangeListener(this); add(mRefresh); mRefresh.setChangeListener(this); HorizontalFieldManager hfm = new HorizontalFieldManager(USE_ALL_WIDTH); add(hfm); hfm.add(mLoad); mLoad.setChangeListener(this); hfm.add(mSave); mSave.setChangeListener(this); loadSettings(); } public void fieldChanged(Field field, int context) { if (field == mLoad) { loadSettings(); } else if (field == mSave) { saveSettings(); } } private void saveSettings() { mOptions.setUrl(mUrl.getText()); mOptions.setEncrypt(mEncrypt.getChecked()); mOptions.setRefreshRate(mRefresh.getValue()); } private void loadSettings() { mUrl.setText(mOptions.getUrl()); mEncrypt.setChecked(mOptions.getEncrypt()); mRefresh.setValue(mOptions.getRefreshPeriod()); } }

  • set all nested li's to be width of widest li

    - by unhitched
    hey, How do I make nested li's the same width? When I use the below code each nested li is only as wide as it's text + margin. I'd like all of the li's to be as wide as the widest li under the parent ul. eg: <ul id="menu"> <li <a href="#" title="Menu a">Menu a</a></li> <li <a href="#" title="Menu b">Menu b</a></li> <li <a href="#" title="Nested Menu">Nested Menu</a> <ul> <li <a href="#" title="Menu Item">Menu Item</li> <li <a href="#" title="Long Menu Item">Long Menu Item</a></li> <li <a href="#" title="Longer Menu Item">Longer Menu Item</a></li> </ul> </li> <li <a href="#" title="Menu z">Menu z</a></li> </ul> with css: <style type="text/css" media="all"> * { padding:0; margin:0; } body, html { width: 100%; height: 100%; } #wrapper { width: 800px; height: 100%; margin: auto; } #menu { margin: 0 0 0 8px; padding: 0; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; } #menu ul { list-style-type:none; list-style-position:outside; position:relative; z-index:300; height: 32px; font-weight:bold; white-space: nowrap; padding:0; } #menu a {text-decoration:none; line-height: 32px; } #menu a:hover { } #menu li { float:left; position:relative; display: inline; height: 100%; list-style-type: none; padding: 0 20px; background: #ccc; } #menu ul { position:absolute; display:none; left:0px; background: #BDCCD4; width:100%; } #menu ul a, #menu li a { display: block; } #menu li ul { background: #BDCCD4; display:block; } #menu li ul a { font-weight: normal; height:auto; float:left; } #menu ul ul { padding: 0 9px; display:block; } #menu li ul li { padding: 0 9px; background: #BDCCD4; } #menu li:hover { background: #ddd; height: 32px; } #menu li li:hover, #menu li li li:hover { background: #ddd; height: 32px; } #menu li a:link, #menu li a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: #003E7E; margin: auto; }

  • How do I display a Wicket Datatable, sorted by a specific column by default?

    - by David
    Hello everyone! I have a question regarding Wicket's Datatable. I am currently using DataTable to display a few columns of data. My table is set up as follows: DataTable<Column> dataTable = new DataTable<Column>("columnsTable", columns, provider, maxRowsPerPage) { @Override protected Item<Column> newRowItem(String id, int index, IModel<Column> model) { return new OddEvenItem<Column>(id, index, model); } }; The columns look like so: columns[0] = new PropertyColumn<Column>(new Model<String>("Description"), "description", "description"); columns[1] = new PropertyColumn<Column>(new Model<String>("Logic"), "columnLogic"); columns[2] = new PropertyColumn<Column>(new Model<String>("Type"), "dataType", "dataType"); Here is my column data provider: public class ColumnSortableDataProvider extends SortableDataProvider<Column> { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; private List<Column> list = null; public ColumnSortableDataProvider(Table table) { this.list = Arrays.asList(table.getColumns().toArray(new Column[0])); } public ColumnSortableDataProvider(List<Column> list) { this.list = list; } @Override public Iterator<? extends Column> iterator(int first, int count) { /* first - first row of data count - minimum number of elements to retrieve So this method returns an iterator capable of iterating over {first, first+count} items */ Iterator<Column> iterator = null; try { if(getSort() != null) { Collections.sort(list, new Comparator<Column>() { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; @Override public int compare(Column c1, Column c2) { int result=1; PropertyModel<Comparable> model1= new PropertyModel<Comparable>(c1, getSort().getProperty()); PropertyModel<Comparable> model2= new PropertyModel<Comparable>(c2, getSort().getProperty()); if(model1.getObject() == null && model2.getObject() == null) result = 0; else if(model1.getObject() == null) result = 1; else if(model2.getObject() == null) result = -1; else result = ((Comparable)model1.getObject()).compareTo(model2.getObject()); result = getSort().isAscending() ? result : -result; return result; } }); } if (list.size() > (first+count)) iterator = list.subList(first, first+count).iterator(); else iterator = list.iterator(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return iterator; } Sorting by clicking a column works perfectly, but I would like the table to initially be sorted, by default, by the Description column. I am at a loss to do this. If you need to see some other code, please let me know. Thank you in advance!!! - D

  • SQL Server 2005 Blocking Problem (ASYNC_NETWORK_IO)

    - by ivankolo
    I am responsible for a third-party application (no access to source) running on IIS and SQL Server 2005 (500 concurrent users, 1TB data, 8 IIS servers). We have recently started to see significant blocking on the database (after months of running this application in production with no problems). This occurs at random intervals during the day, approximately every 30 minutes, and affects between 20 and 100 sessions each time. All of the sessions eventually hit the application time out and the sessions abort. The problem disappears and then gradually re-emerges. The SPID responsible for the blocking always has the following features: WAIT TYPE = ASYNC_NETWORK_IO The SQL being run is “(@claimid varchar(15))SELECT claimid, enrollid, status, orgclaimid, resubclaimid, primaryclaimid FROM claim WHERE primaryclaimid = @claimid AND primaryclaimid < claimid)”. This is relatively innocuous SQL that should only return one or two records, not a large dataset. NO OTHER SQL statements have been implicated in the blocking, only this SQL statement. This is parameterized SQL for which an execution plan is cached in sys.dm_exec_cached_plans. This SPID has an object-level S lock on the claim table, so all UPDATEs/INSERTs to the claim table are also blocked. HOST ID varies. Different web servers are responsible for the blocking sessions. E.g., sometimes we trace back to web server 1, sometimes web server 2. When we trace back to the web server implicated in the blocking, we see the following: There is always some sort of application related error in the Event Log on the web server, linked to the Host ID and Host Process ID from the SQL Session. The error messages vary, usually some sort of SystemOutofMemory. (These error messages seem to be similar to error messages that we have seen in the past without such dramatic consequences. We think was happening before, but didn’t lead to blocking. Why now?) No known problems with the network adapters on either the web servers or the SQL server. (In any event the record set returned by the offending query would be small.) Things ruled out: Indexes are regularly defragmented. Statistics regularly updated. Increased sample size of statistics on claim.primaryclaimid. Forced recompilation of the cached execution plan. Created a compound index with primaryclaimid, claimid. No networking problems. No known issues on the web server. No changes to application software on web servers. We hypothesize that the chain of events goes something like this: Web server process submits SQL above. SQL server executes the SQL, during which it acquires a lock on the claim table. Web server process gets an error and dies. SQL server session is hung waiting for the web server process to read the data set. SQL Server sessions that need to get X locks on parts of the claim table (anyone processing claims) are blocked by the lock on the claim table and remain blocked until they all hit the application time out. Any suggestions for troubleshooting while waiting for the vendor's assistance would be most welcome. Is there a way to force SQL Server to lock at the row/page level for this particular SQL statement only? Is there a way to set a threshold on ASYNC_NETWORK_IO waits only?

  • Which part of this simple script is breaking internet explorer?

    - by user961627
    I'm writing a simple virtual keyboard for Arabic (indic) digits. Just links that, when clicked, produce the corresponding Unicode Indic character. The following is my HTML, in the body tag: <a href="#" id='start'>Start</a> <div id='vkb' style='padding:20px;font-size:16pt; border:2px solid #eee; width:250px' dir='ltr'> <a class='key' href='#' id='0'>&#1632;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='1'>&#1633;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='2'>&#1634;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='3'>&#1635;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='4'>&#1636;</a><br /> <a class='key' href='#' id='5'>&#1637;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='6'>&#1638;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='7'>&#1639;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='8'>&#1640;</a> <a class='key' href='#' id='9'>&#1641;</a> <br /> <a href="#" id='stop'>Stop</a> </div> <div id='output' /></div> This is my CSS: a { text-decoration:none; } .key { padding:7px; background-color:#fff; margin:5px; border:2px solid #eee; display:inline-block; } .key:hover { background-color:#eee; } And this is my javascript: <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ var toprint = ""; $('#vkb').hide(); $('#start').click(function(e){ toprint = ""; $('#vkb').show(); }); $('#stop').click(function(e){ $('#vkb').hide(); ret = ar2ind(toprint); $('#output').text(ret); toprint = ""; }); $('#vkb').click(function(e){ var $key = $(e.target).closest('.key'); var pressed = $key.attr('id'); if(pressed === undefined){ pressed = ""; } toprint = toprint + pressed; }); }); function ar2ind(str) { str = str.replace(/0/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/1/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/2/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/3/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/4/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/5/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/6/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/7/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/8/g, "?"); str = str.replace(/9/g, "?"); return str; } </script> It seems simple enough but it's crashing in IE9. (Might be crashing in earlier versions too but haven't been able to check.)

  • Problem with Google Calendar API invocation at server side

    - by Raffo
    Hi guys, I have problems with the invocation of the Google Calendar API. I downloaded the library for java and I added as external JAR in eclipse the following files: gdata-core, gdata-calendar, gdata- calendar-meta, gdata-client-meta, gdata-client. Then, I created a the method as it follows: import com.google.gdata.client.calendar.CalendarService; import com.google.gdata.data.calendar.CalendarEntry; import com.google.gdata.data.calendar.CalendarFeed; import com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.RemoteServiceServlet; public class GCalServImpl extends RemoteServiceServlet implements GCalServ { @Override public String RetrieveCalendars() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub // Create a CalenderService and authenticate try{ CalendarService myService = new CalendarService("taskR"); myService.setUserCredentials(***username***, "***password***"); // Send the request and print the response URL feedUrl = new URL("http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/default/ allcalendars/full"); CalendarFeed resultFeed = myService.getFeed(feedUrl, CalendarFeed.class); System.out.println("Your calendars:"); System.out.println(); String s = ""; for (int i = 0; i < resultFeed.getEntries().size(); i++) { CalendarEntry entry = resultFeed.getEntries().get(i); s=entry.getTitle().getPlainText(); System.out.println("\t" + s); return s; } }catch(Exception e){ e.printStackTrace(); } return null; } I then call it from the client side doing a basic async invocation. If I try to launch the program I got the following errors: WARNING: Error for /taskr/cal java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/gdata/client/calendar/ CalendarService at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Class.java:2389) at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Class.java:2699) at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Class.java:326) at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:308) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.Holder.newInstance(Holder.java:153) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.initServlet(ServletHolder.java: 428) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.getServlet(ServletHolder.java: 339) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.handle(ServletHolder.java: 487) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler $CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1166) at com.google.appengine.api.blobstore.dev.ServeBlobFilter.doFilter(ServeBlobFilter.java: 51) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler $CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1157) at com.google.apphosting.utils.servlet.TransactionCleanupFilter.doFilter(TransactionCleanupFilter.java: 43) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler $CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1157) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.StaticFileFilter.doFilter(StaticFileFilter.java: 122) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler $CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1157) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler.handle(ServletHandler.java: 388) at org.mortbay.jetty.security.SecurityHandler.handle(SecurityHandler.java: 216) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.SessionHandler.handle(SessionHandler.java: 182) at org.mortbay.jetty.handler.ContextHandler.handle(ContextHandler.java: 765) at org.mortbay.jetty.webapp.WebAppContext.handle(WebAppContext.java: 418) at com.google.apphosting.utils.jetty.DevAppEngineWebAppContext.handle(DevAppEngineWebAppContext.java: 70) at org.mortbay.jetty.handler.HandlerWrapper.handle(HandlerWrapper.java: 152) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.JettyContainerService $ApiProxyHandler.handle(JettyContainerService.java:349) at org.mortbay.jetty.handler.HandlerWrapper.handle(HandlerWrapper.java: 152) at org.mortbay.jetty.Server.handle(Server.java:326) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpConnection.handleRequest(HttpConnection.java: 542) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpConnection $RequestHandler.content(HttpConnection.java:938) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpParser.parseNext(HttpParser.java:755) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpParser.parseAvailable(HttpParser.java:218) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpConnection.handle(HttpConnection.java:404) at org.mortbay.io.nio.SelectChannelEndPoint.run(SelectChannelEndPoint.java: 409) at org.mortbay.thread.QueuedThreadPool $PoolThread.run(QueuedThreadPool.java:582) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.google.gdata.client.calendar.CalendarService at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:315) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.IsolatedAppClassLoader.loadClass(IsolatedAppClassLoader.java: 151) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:250) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:398) ... 33 more What can I do??

  • Problem exporting NSOpenGLView pixel data to some image file formats using ImageKit & CGImageDestina

    - by walkytalky
    I am developing an application to visualise some experimental data. One of its functions is to render the data in an NSOpenGLView subclass, and allow the resulting image to be exported to a file or copied to the clipboard. The view exports the data as an NSImage, generated like this: - (NSImage*) image { NSBitmapImageRep* imageRep; NSImage* image; NSSize viewSize = [self bounds].size; int width = viewSize.width; int height = viewSize.height; [self lockFocus]; [self drawRect:[self bounds]]; [self unlockFocus]; imageRep=[[[NSBitmapImageRep alloc] initWithBitmapDataPlanes:NULL pixelsWide:width pixelsHigh:height bitsPerSample:8 samplesPerPixel:4 hasAlpha:YES isPlanar:NO colorSpaceName:NSDeviceRGBColorSpace bytesPerRow:width*4 bitsPerPixel:32] autorelease]; [[self openGLContext] makeCurrentContext]; glReadPixels(0,0,width,height,GL_RGBA,GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE,[imageRep bitmapData]); image=[[[NSImage alloc] initWithSize:NSMakeSize(width,height)] autorelease]; [image addRepresentation:imageRep]; [image setFlipped:YES]; // this is deprecated in 10.6 [image lockFocusOnRepresentation:imageRep]; // this will flip the rep [image unlockFocus]; return image; } Copying uses this image very simply, like this: - (IBAction) copy:(id) sender { NSImage* img = [self image]; NSPasteboard* pb = [NSPasteboard generalPasteboard]; [pb clearContents]; NSArray* copied = [NSArray arrayWithObject:img]; [pb writeObjects:copied]; } For file writing, I use the ImageKit IKSaveOptions accessory panel to set the output file type and associated options, then use the following code to do the writing: NSImage* glImage = [glView image]; NSRect rect = [glView bounds]; rect.origin.x = rect.origin.y = 0; img = [glImage CGImageForProposedRect:&rect context:[NSGraphicsContext currentContext] hints:nil]; if (img) { NSURL* url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath: path]; CGImageDestinationRef dest = CGImageDestinationCreateWithURL((CFURLRef)url, (CFStringRef)newUTType, 1, NULL); if (dest) { CGImageDestinationAddImage(dest, img, (CFDictionaryRef)[imgSaveOptions imageProperties]); CGImageDestinationFinalize(dest); CFRelease(dest); } } (I've trimmed a bit of extraneous code here, but nothing that would affect the outcome as far as I can see. The newUTType comes from the IKSaveOptions panel.) This works fine when the file is exported as GIF, JPEG, PNG, PSD or TIFF, but exporting to PDF, BMP, TGA, ICNS and JPEG-2000 produces a red colour artefact on part of the image. Example images are below, the first exported as JPG, the second as PDF. Copy to clipboard does not exhibit this red stripe with the current implementation of image, but it did with the original implementation, which generated the imageRep using NSCalibratedRGBColorSpace rather than NSDeviceRGBColorSpace. So I'm guessing there's some issue with the colour representation in the pixels I get from OpenGL that doesn't get through the subsequent conversions properly, but I'm at a loss as to what to do about it. So, can anyone tell me (i) what is causing this, and (ii) how can I make it go away? I don't care so much about all of the formats but I'd really like at least PDF to work.

  • Beginner questions on Java Regular Expression

    - by Robert
    Hello everyone. I began studying Java Regular Expression recently and I found some really intersting task.For example,I now need to dig out "Product Name","Product Description" and "Sellers for this product" out of the following HTML code.(I am sorry for the big chunck of code,but it is very straightforward) <td class="sr-check"> <input type="checkbox" name="cptitle" value="678560038" /></td> <td class="sr-image" style="width: 80px;"><a href="/Nikon-D300S-12-3-678560038/prices-html" class="strictRule" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://img01.static-nextag.com/image/Nikon-D300S-12-3-MP-Digital-SLR-Camera-Body-Black/0/000/006/789/461/678946110.jpg" alt="Nikon D300S 12.3 MP Digital SLR Camera Body - Black" class="imageLink strictRule" height="75" width="75" id="opILink_0" title="Nikon Digital Cameras - Nikon D300S 12.3 MP Digital SLR Camera Body - Black" /></a><div class="breaker">&nbsp;</div></td> <td class="sr-info"> <div class="sr-info"> <a id="opPNLink_0" class="underline" style="font-size:16px" href="/Nikon-D300S-12-3-678560038 /prices-html" >Nikon D300S 12.3 MP <b>Digital</b> SLR <b>Camera</b> Body - Black</a> <div class="sr-subinfo"> <div class="sr-info-description">SLR - 13.1MP, 12.3MP - 1x Optical Zoom - CompactFlash, SD/MMC Memory Card - 3in.</div> <div class="rating"> <img src="http://img01.static-nextag.com/imagefiles/stars/stars4_10px.gif" alt="4/5 stars" title="4/5 stars" /> (92 user ratings)</div> <div style="clear: both;"> <!-- nxtginc=nextag.api.ServerInclude$JSPIncludeWriter(/buyer/ATLSSI.jsp?ptid=678560038&dts=y) --> <a id="_atl_0" style="" href="http://www.nextag.com/serv/main/buyer/MyPDir.jsp?list=_transCookieList&amp;cmd=add&amp;ptitle=678560038" rel="nofollow">+ Add to Shopping List</a> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <!-- endnxtginc --> <a rel="nofollow" id="mltLink_0" class="mlt-link" href="/Digital-Cameras--zz500001z2z678560038zB2dgz5---html">See More Like This</a> </div> <div id="fsLink_0" class="featuredSeller"> <a rel="nofollow" class="featuredSeller" id="opFSLink_0_0" href="/norob/PtitleSeller.jsp?chnl=main&amp;tag=785646073amp;ctx=x%2BN%2Fs9zy56l4u8RXCzALE1jeLesDMzeK09rPQEdK3Yjx395ZzX9cMh9N5JAxjk7xPqF9hjk2ztM5IRXU5nspLubIXYaVzI%2B%2Fg7h1Qz58TzgvrWuNawV8qEIqqSmClArWMq6mpzNRuSlgg2xCXYObNnaIH00iKSUmBawDRvecwbCpAxhXgXoLEiEinTwr3EipComdzxL9UHFYTLoWUToUB5SRSsolQmEJ3mgnnvu83%2FC8W34TGpN9mJo%2BnyAeTkt4&amp;ptitle=678560038" target="_blank" >Thundercameras</a>:$1,289 &nbsp; <a rel="nofollow" class="featuredSeller" id="opFSLink_0_1" href="/norob/PtitleSeller.jsp?chnl=main&amp;tag=797076595&amp;ctx=x%2BN%2Fs9zy56l4u8RXCzALE1jeLesDMzeK09rPQEdK3Yjx395ZzX9cMh9N5JAxjk7xPqF9hjk2ztM5IRXU5nspLubIXYaVzI%2B%2Fg7h1Qz58TzgvrWuNawV8qEIqqSmClArWMq6mpzNRuSlgg2xCXYObNrcWLhL%2BhryuAGhXNhYSPE%2BpAxhXgXoLEiEinTwr3EipComdzxL9UHFYTLoWUToUB5SRSsolQmEJ3mgnnvu83%2FC8W34TGpN9mJo%2BnyAeTkt4&amp;ptitle=678560038" target="_blank" >PhotoVideoSuperStore</a>:$1,269 &nbsp; <a rel="nofollow" class="featuredSeller" id="opFSLink_0_2" href="/norob/PtitleSeller.jsp?chnl=main&amp;tag=803555293&amp;ctx=x%2BN%2Fs9zy56l4u8RXCzALE1jeLesDMzeK09rPQEdK3Yjx395ZzX9cMh9N5JAxjk7xPqF9hjk2ztM5IRXU5nspLubIXYaVzI%2B%2Fg7h1Qz58TzgvrWuNawV8qEIqqSmClArWMq6mpzNRuSlgg2xCXYObNt06qcvLJ5UQz7S3zKd4urWpAxhXgXoLEiEinTwr3EipComdzxL9UHFYTLoWUToUB5SRSsolQmEJ3mgnnvu83%2FC8W34TGpN9mJo%2BnyAeTkt4&amp;ptitle=678560038" target="_blank" >Digitalelect</a>:$1,279 &nbsp;</div> I would think of : (1) digging out the product name from <td class="sr-image >tag,and using regular expression exp ="<td><span\\s+class=\"sr-image\"[^>]*>" + ".*?</span><a href=\"" + "([^\"]+)" + "\"[^>]*>" + "([^<]+)" + "</a>.*?</td>"; (2) digging out the product info from the <div class="sr-info-description"> tag. exp = "<div class="sr-info-description"> [^>]*>" (3) digging out the Sellers' names from <div id="fsLink_0" class="featuredSeller"> tag. exp = "<div id="fslink_0" class="featuredSeller[^>]*>" + ".*?</span><a rel=\"" + "([^\"]+)" + "\"[^>]*>" + "([^<]+)" + "</a>.*?</td>"; I am just beginning learing using Java Regular Expression,I would be grateful if you could correct me if I am in the wrong track or my regular expressiona are wrong.   • Why are there so many man-made edge cases in IT, and is there any hope for simplification / unificat

    - by Hamish Grubijan
    This question is meant to generate discussion and so it is marked as community wiki. My observation is that the field of information technology grows so rapidly and randomly, that for many it takes a lot of time to learn many intricacies of some tools that will be obsolete in just short 3 years. If you look at the questions asked on StackOverflow ... at least half of them stem from the fact that some language / tool / API / protocol was poorly designed, is backwards and has gotchas. There are so many things which distract developers from converting English into machine code; instead they spend their time configuring stuff and gluing together things that do not really fit. How many times do you pick up somebody else's project (or someone picks up yours :) ) and realize that this program does not need half of the dialogs that it has, and that the logic can be simplified a great deal? But, it had to be made and sold here before a better thing is made and sold elsewhere, and hence all this rush. I often wish that things would just slow down. I do not want Microsoft Windows to run on my car's computer, my watch, my table, my toaster oven, and my toilet seat. I'd rather have Windows that DOES NOT HAVE WINDOWS REGISTRY, I'd rather have Windows that allows two different programs to work on the same file at the same time, the way it works on Unix systems. Microsoft is just an example. I am looking forward to the day when I do not have to worry about Windows vs Unix new line break, when System32 actually means that this directory contains 32-bit binaries, and not 64-bit ones, the day when dll hell and manifest hell are no longer an issue, the day when it takes me a lot less than 3 months on a new job to learn the system. I do not mean learning the entire code base of a product (depending on the size of it, it can take a long time). I mean - remembering which build-assisting scripts are written in Perl and which version of it, and which ones are done through .bat files, when do I need to manually make every file in some directory writable before running a script, or else a critical step of a database maintenance home-grown tool will bomb, and it will take 2 days to clean that up. Makes me wonder if humans enslaved computers, or if it is the other way around. The key is that improving those things will not bring extra revenue, and hence those taking the time to fix crap like that are not "business focused". However, these imperfections irritate me immensely, particularly because my memory is limited - I can hold only a small portion of that useless knowledge of a system in my head at any given point in time. I must not be alone. Did you also happen to notice that a programmer can waste a lot of time on things that should have been a lot more straight-forward? Is there hope? Will things get better/simpler in the future, or will there be a lot more IT crap floating around? I suppose I see diversity of tools, protocols, etc. as a bad thing. Thank you for participation.

  • jQuery .append() not working in IE, Safari, and Chrome

    - by mkmcdonald
    So I'm using jQuery's AJAX function to read some XML for me and it's worked just fine. But now I'm trying to manipulate the display property of 4 different dynamically generated divs. The size and x/y of the divs are determined by the XML and are parsed through. My problem lies in the face that these divs either aren't being generated or just don't show up in IE, Safari, and Chrome. In Firefox and Opera, they do work. I'm using jQuery's .append() to create the divs and then the .css() functino to manipulate them. Looking in Chrome's developer tools, I am seeing that the css property being changed in the script is being overridden by the property in the stylesheet. Any fixes? $(document).ready(function(){ $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "generate?test", dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { $(xml).find('template').each(function(){ var portion = $(this).attr('portion'); var select; var name = $(this).find('$(this):first').text(); var mutability = $(this).attr('mutability'); var x = (parseInt($(this).find('x:first').text())*96)/72; var y = (parseInt($(this).find('y:first').text())*96)/72; switch(portion){ case "stub": select = $('#StubTemplates'); select.append(""+name+""); break; case "body": select = $('#BodyTemplates'); select.append(""+name+""); y = y + 90; break; } switch(mutability){ case "dynamic": var width = (parseInt($(this).find('width:first').text())*96)/72; var height = (parseInt($(this).find('height:first').text())*96)/72; var n = name; switch(portion){ case "stub": $('.ticket').append("") break; case "body": $('.ticket').append(""); break; } var top = $('#'+n).position().top; var left = parseInt($('#'+n).css('margin-left')); $('#'+n).css('top', (y+top)+"px"); $('#'+n).css('margin-left', (x+left)+"px"); $('#'+n).css('width', width+"px"); $('#'+n).css('height', height+"px"); break; case "static": var n = name; switch(portion){ case "stub": $('.ticket').append(""); break; case "body": $('.ticket').append(""); break; } break; } }); var stubActive = false; var bodyActive = false; $('#StubTemplates').find('.ddindent').mouseup(function(){ var tVal = $(this).val(); var tTitle = $(this).attr('title'); if(!stubActive){ $('.stubEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); stubActive = true; }else{ $('.stubEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); stubActive = false; } }); $('#StubTemplates').find('#stubTempNone').mouseup(function(){ $('.stubEditable').css('display', 'none'); }); $('#BodyTemplates').find('.ddindent').mouseup(function(){ var tVal = $(this).val(); var tTitle = $(this).attr('title'); if(!bodyActive){ $('.bodyEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); bodyActive = true; }else{ $('.bodyEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); bodyActive = false; } }); $('#BodyTemplates').find('#bodyTempNone').mouseup(function(){ $('.bodyEditable').css('display', 'none'); }); } }); });

  • Detecting Acceleration in a car (iPhone Accelerometer)

    - by TheGazzardian
    Hello, I am working on an iPhone app where we are trying to calculate the acceleration of a moving car. Similar apps have accomplished this (Dynolicious), but the difference is that this app is designed to be used during general city driving, not on a drag strip. This leads us to one big concern that Dynolicious was luckily able to avoid: hills. Yes, hills. There are two important stages to this: calibration, and actual driving. Our initial run was simple and suffered the consequences. During the calibration stage, I took the average force on the phone, and during running, I just subtracted the average force from the current force to get the current acceleration this frame. The problem with this is that the typical car receives much more force than just the forward force - everything from turning to potholes was causing the values to go out of sync with what was really happening. The next run was to add the condition that the iPhone must be oriented in such a way that the screen was facing toward the back of the car. Using this method, I attempted to follow only force on the z-axis, but this obviously lead to problems unless the iPhone was oriented directly upright, because of gravity. Some trigonometry later, and I had managed to work gravity out of the equation, so that the car was actually being read very, very well by the iPhone. Until I hit a slope. As soon as the angle of the car changed, suddenly I was receiving accelerations and decelerations that didn't make sense, and we were once again going out of sync. Talking with someone a lot smarter than me at math lead to a solution that I have been trying to implement for longer than I would like to admit. It's steps are as follows: 1) During calibration, measure gravity as a vector instead of a size. Store that vector. 2) When the car initially moves forward, take the vector of motion and subtract gravity. Use this as the forward momentum. (Ignore, for now, the user cases where this will be difficult and let's concentrate on the math :) 3) From the forward vector and the gravity vector, construct a plane. 4) Whenever a force is received, project it onto said plane to get rid of sideways force/etc. 5) Then, use that force, the known magnitude of gravity, and the known direction of forward motion to essentially solve a triangle to get the forward vector. The problem that is causing the most difficulty in this new system is not step 5, which I have gotten to the point where all the numbers look as they should. The difficult part is actually the detection of the forward vector. I am selecting vectors whose magnitude exceeds gravity, and from there, averaging them and subtracting gravity. (I am doing some error checking to make sure that I am not using a force just because the iPhone accelerometer was off by a bit, which happens more frequently than I would like). But if I plot these vectors that I am using, they actually vary by an angle of about 20-30 degrees, which can lead to some strong inaccuracies. The end result is that the app is even more inaccurate now than before. So basically - all you math and iPhone brains out there - any glaring errors? Any potentially better solutions? Any experience that could be useful at all? Award: offering a bounty of $250 to the first answer that leads to a solution.

  • Multidimensional array problem in VHDL?

    - by Nektarios
    I'm trying to use a multidimensional array in VHDL and I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to work properly. My issue is that I've got an array of 17, of 16 vectors, of a given size. What I want to do is create 17 registers that are array of 16 * std_logic_vector of 32 bits (which = my b, 512). So, I'm trying to pass in something to input and output on the register instantiation that tells the compiler/synthesizer that I want to pass in something that is 512 bits worth... Similar to in C if I had: int var[COLS][ROWS][ELEMENTS]; memcpy(&var[3].. // I'm talking about 3rd COL here, passing in memory that is ROWS*ELEMENTS long (My actual declaration is here:) type partial_pipeline_registers_type is array (0 to 16, 0 to 15) of std_logic_vector(iw - 1 downto 0); signal h_blk_pipelined_input : partial_pipeline_registers_type; I tried simply using h_blk_pipelined_input(0) .. up to (16) but this doesn't work. I get the following error, which makes me see that I need to double index in to the array: ERROR:HDLParsers:821 - (at the register) Wrong index type for h_blk_pipelined_input. So then I tried what's below, and I get this error: ERROR:HDLParsers:164 - (at the register code). parse error, unexpected TO, expecting COMMA or CLOSEPAR instantiate_h_pipelined_reg : regn generic map ( N=> b, init => bzeros ) port map ( clk => clk , rst => '0', en => '1', input => h_blk_pipelined_input((i - 1), 0 to 15), output=> h_blk_pipelined_input((i), 0 to 15)); -- Changing 0 to 15 to (0 to 15) has no effect... I'm using XST, and from their documentation (http://www.xilinx.com/itp/xilinx6/books/data/docs/xst/xst0067_9.html), the above should have worked: ...declaration: subtype MATRIX15 is array(4 downto 0, 2 downto 0) of STD_LOGIC_VECTOR (7 downto 0); A multi-dimensional array signal or variable can be completely used: Just a slice of one row can be specified: MATRIX15 (4,4 downto 1) <= TAB_B (3 downto 0); One alternative is that I can create more registers that are 16 times smaller, and instead of trying to do all '0 to 15' at once, I would just do that 15 additional times. However, I think this may lead to inefficiency in synthesis and I don't feel like this is the right solution. EDIT: Tried what Ben said, instantiate_h_m_qa_pipeline_registers: for i in 1 to 16 generate instantiate_h_pipelined_reg : regn generic map ( N=> b, init => bzeros ) port map ( clk => clk , rst => '0', en => '1', input => h_blk_pipelined_input(i - 1), output=> h_blk_pipelined_input(i)); end generate instantiate_h_m_qa_pipeline_registers; The signals are now defined as: type std_logic_block is array (0 to 15) of std_logic_vector(iw - 1 downto 0) ; type partial_pipeline_registers_type is array (0 to 16) of std_logic_block; signal h_blk_pipelined_input : partial_pipeline_registers_type; And the error I get from XST is: ERROR:HDLParsers:800 - ((where the register part is)) Type of input is incompatible with type of h_blk_pipelined_input. I'm able to do everything I was able to do before, using ()() syntax instead of ( , ) so I haven't lost anything going this way, but it still doesn't resolve my problem.

  • ie9/CSS: Flyout menu not working in ie9, but looks great in Firefox/Chrome

    - by Brandon
    Please see this flyout menu: http://www.caseen.com/store.html. It looks amazing in both Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE9! Trying to see what is going on =(. It looks like ie9 is completing ignoring the stylesheet, but in error checking and clicking ie9 direct mode, it shows up however VERY ugly with huge nasty white borders around the links! Please see my code: <div class="flyout"> <ul> <!--START: CATEGORIES--> <!--START: CATEGORY_FORMAT--> <li><a href="view_category.asp?cat=CATID">&nbsp;CATEGORY</a> <!--END: CATEGORY_FORMAT--> <ul><!--START: SUB_CATEGORY_FORMAT--> <li><a href="view_category.asp?cat=CATID">&nbsp;CATEGORY</a></li> <!--END: SUB_CATEGORY_FORMAT--></ul> <!--END: CATEGORIES--> </li> </ul> </div> AND CSS .flyout { width: 130px; height: auto; position:relative; margin: -10 0; padding: 0; z-index:10000; } .flyout ul li a { display:block; text-decoration:none; color: #fff; width: 130px; border: solid; border-color: #000; border-width: 0 0 0 5px; text-align:left; font-size:12px; line-height: 25px; } .flyout ul { padding:0px; list-style-type: none; } .flyout ul li { float:left; margin-right:1px; position:relative; } .flyout ul li ul { display: none; } .flyout ul li:hover a { border: solid; border-color: #fff; border-width: 0 2 0 5px; color: #60dfe5; } .flyout ul li:hover ul { display:block; position:absolute; top:0; left:130px; width:10px; } .flyout ul li:hover ul li a.hide { background:#000; color:#fff; } .flyout ul li:hover ul li:hover a.hide {width:180px;} .flyout ul li:hover ul li ul {display: none;} .flyout ul li:hover ul li a { display:block; background:#000; color:#60dfe5; width:200px; } .flyout ul li:hover ul li a:hover { background:#000; color:#fff; } Thanks, Brandon

  • mediaelement.js control sizes are wrong when clip nested in a hidden element

    - by Martin Francis
    It's a nasty one this. In an audio control placed within a container element whose display property is initially set to none, the audio clip does NOT correctly size the progress bar when it is initialised. This is clear when the container's display property is changed from 'none' to '' (which is equivalent to 'static'). But who would ever do that? I make extensive use of 'tabbed' display arrangements on community sites like this one: http://www.churchesInBracebridge.ca Owing to the page arrangement, the audio controls which you see under 'sermons' (which at the time of writing still using Flash rather than John's excellent library here) are initially rendered in a div that is hidden. Simplified Test case Rather than have anyone have to wade through all of that, here's a much simplified test case: http://jsfiddle.net/sJL6T/36 Here's the full page source for those who'd prefer to work with it that way. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/> <title>MediaElementPlayer.js</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="http://mediaelementjs.com/js/mejs-2.13.1/mediaelement-and-player.js"></script> <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://mediaelementjs.com/js/mejs-2.13.1/mediaelementplayer.css" /> <script type="text/javascript"> function toggle(id){ document.getElementById(id).style.display= (document.getElementById(id).style.display=='none' ? '' : 'none'); } </script> </head> <body> <h1>MediaElementPlayer.js</h1> <h2 onclick="return toggle('test1')">Initially Hidden (Click to toggle)</h2> <div id='test1' style='display:none'> <audio controls="controls"> <source src="http://mediaelementjs.com/media/AirReview-Landmarks-02-ChasingCorporate.mp3" type="audio/mp3" /> </audio> </div> <h2 onclick="return toggle('test2')">Initially Shown (Click to toggle)</h2> <div id='test2' style=''> <audio controls="controls"> <source src="http://mediaelementjs.com/media/AirReview-Landmarks-02-ChasingCorporate.mp3" type="audio/mp3" /> </audio> </div> <script> $('audio').mediaelementplayer(); </script> </body> </html> Possible Workarounds Now I know that Google maps has the same quirk and there are two possible ways I've used to deal with that: Use absolute positioning in a displayed div to place the element 10,000px to the left then bring it onto the stage when we want to see it Have the map pane displayed when loading then hide it as soon as it's loaded (ugly I know, but it usually works) However either approach would be a pain to do, as I have a lot of legacy code using the simpler div hiding method. I know that JQuery can get the dimensions of an element event if it is hidden - someone thoughtfully fiddled that and it does work: http://jsfiddle.net/sJL6T/9 Perhaps it may be possible to modify the actual library to find correct dimensions, even if the container itself is hidden? That would be wonderful, if it can be done! Initial experiments on mediaelement-and-player.js code I found that when I provided a fixed value in the setControlsSize function for railWidth, I got consistent results with both controls in the test case above (and obviously I'm working with my own copy of the library to do that, not the one stored at mediaelementjs.com): // outer area rail.width(railWidth); Change to this: // outer area railWidth=216; rail.width(railWidth); Many thanks in anticipation! • Blogger issue with custom background images on Chrome and Safari

    - by hdx
    This is weird, the site in question is blog.andrebatista.info and it is a hosted at blogger.com. I'm trying to make the blogger template look the same as the one in my main website, www.andrebatista.info. For some reason if I go directly to the blog address Chrome and Safari fail to display all of my background images... all of them. However if I first go to www.andrebatista.info first and then go to the blog it renders just fine ?¿ The way I'm customizing it is by adding a link to my main site's stylesheet at the very end of the head tag on the blogger template. That stylesheet is displayed below: *{ margin:0; padding:0; border:0; } html,body { background:#064169 url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/main_gradient_slice.jpg) repeat-x; font-family: Arial, "MS Trebuchet", sans-serif; font-size:18px; } #main_wrapper{ margin: 0 auto; width:1024px; } #header{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/header.jpg); height:133px; border:none; margin:0; } #menu_wrapper{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/menu.jpg); height:34px; overflow:hidden; } #menu_wrapper .menu_item{ color:white; float: left; border: 1 px solid red; height: 34px; padding-top:10px; text-align:center; width:100px; } #menu_wrapper .first{ padding-left:240px; float:left; width:100px; } #menu_wrapper .active,#menu_wrapper .menu_item:hover{ background-color:white; color:Teal; cursor: pointer; } #content_area_wrapper{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/body_bg_slice.jpg) repeat-y; } #content_area{ min-height:524px; background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/main_content_top.jpg) repeat-x; } #main_banner{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/main_banner.jpg) no-repeat center center; width:662px; height:338px; margin: 0 auto; } #main_banner div{ color:white; padding-left:47px; padding-right:164px; padding-top:105px; } #text_area{ overflow:hidden; width:662px; margin:0 auto; padding:14px; } #contentList{ padding:0 20px 20px 20px; } #text_area .left{ width:50%; float:left; } #text_area .left{ width:50%; float:right; } #footer2{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/footer.jpg); height:62px; } #footer{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/footer.jpg); height:62px; } Any ideas on what I could be missing?

  • Duplication of menu items with ViewPager and Fragments

    - by Julian
    I'm building an Android Application (minimum SDK Level 10, Gingerbread 2.3.3) with some Fragments in a ViewPager. I'm using ActionBarSherlock to create an ActionBar and android-viewpagertabs to add tabs to the ViewPager just like in the Market client. I have one global menu item that I want to be shown on every tab/fragment. On the first of the three tabs I want to have two additional menu items. But now two strange things happen: First if I start the app, everything seems to be fine, I can see all three menu items on the first page and only one item if i swipe to the second and third tab. But if I swipe back to the second tab from the third one, I can see all three items again which shouldn't happen. If I swipe back to the first and then again to the second tab, everything is fine again. The other strange thing is that every time I rotate the device, the menu items from the fragment are added again, even though they are already in the menu. Code of the FragmentActivity that displays the ViewPager and its tabs: public class MainActivity extends FragmentActivity { public static final String TAG = "MainActivity"; private ActionBar actionBar; private Adapter adapter; private ViewPager viewPager; private ViewPagerTabs tabs; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.volksempfaenger); actionBar = getSupportActionBar(); adapter = new Adapter(getSupportFragmentManager()); adapter.addFragment(getString(R.string.title_tab_subscriptions), SubscriptionGridFragment.class); // adding more fragments here viewPager = (ViewPager) findViewById(R.id.viewpager); viewPager.setAdapter(adapter); tabs = (ViewPagerTabs) findViewById(R.id.tabs); tabs.setViewPager(viewPager); } public static class Adapter extends FragmentPagerAdapter implements ViewPagerTabProvider { private FragmentManager fragmentManager; private ArrayList<Class<? extends Fragment>> fragments; private ArrayList<String> titles; public Adapter(FragmentManager fm) { super(fm); fragmentManager = fm; fragments = new ArrayList<Class<? extends Fragment>>(); titles = new ArrayList<String>(); } public void addFragment(String title, Class<? extends Fragment> fragment) { titles.add(title); fragments.add(fragment); } @Override public int getCount() { return fragments.size(); } public String getTitle(int position) { return titles.get(position); } @Override public Fragment getItem(int position) { try { return fragments.get(position).newInstance(); } catch (InstantiationException e) { Log.wtf(TAG, e); } catch (IllegalAccessException e) { Log.wtf(TAG, e); } return null; } @Override public Object instantiateItem(View container, int position) { FragmentTransaction fragmentTransaction = fragmentManager .beginTransaction(); Fragment f = getItem(position); fragmentTransaction.add(container.getId(), f); fragmentTransaction.commit(); return f; } } @Override public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { BaseActivity.addGlobalMenu(this, menu); return true; } @Override public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) { return BaseActivity.handleGlobalMenu(this, item); } } Code of the fragment that shall have its own menu items: public class SubscriptionGridFragment extends Fragment { private GridView subscriptionList; private SubscriptionListAdapter adapter; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setHasOptionsMenu(true); } // ... @Override public void onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu, MenuInflater inflater) { inflater.inflate(R.menu.subscription_list, menu); } @Override public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) { // ... } }

  • Constructing a Binary Tree from its traversals

    - by user991710
    I'm trying to construct a binary tree (unbalanced), given its traversals. I'm currently doing preorder + inorder but when I figure this out postorder will be no issue at all. I realize there are some question on the topic already but none of them seemed to answer my question. I've got a recursive method that takes the Preorder and the Inorder of a binary tree to reconstruct it, but is for some reason failing to link the root node with the subsequent children. Note: I don't want a solution. I've been trying to figure this out for a few hours now and even jotted down the recursion on paper and everything seems fine... so I must be missing something subtle. Here's the code: public static <T> BinaryNode<T> prePlusIn( T[] pre, T[] in) { if(pre.length != in.length) throw new IllegalArgumentException(); BinaryNode<T> base = new BinaryNode(); base.element = pre[0]; // * Get root from the preorder traversal. int indexOfRoot = 0; if(pre.length == 0 && in.length == 0) return null; if(pre.length == 1 && in.length == 1 && pre[0].equals(in[0])) return base; // * If both arrays are of size 1, element is a leaf. for(int i = 0; i < in.length -1; i++){ if(in[i].equals(base.element)){ // * Get the index of the root indexOfRoot = i; // in the inorder traversal. break; } // * If we cannot, the tree cannot be constructed as the traversals differ. else throw new IllegalArgumentException(); } // * Now, we recursively set the left and right subtrees of // the above "base" root node to whatever the new preorder // and inorder traversals end up constructing. T[] preleft = Arrays.copyOfRange(pre, 1, indexOfRoot + 1); T[] preright = Arrays.copyOfRange(pre, indexOfRoot + 1, pre.length); T[] inleft = Arrays.copyOfRange(in, 0, indexOfRoot); T[] inright = Arrays.copyOfRange(in, indexOfRoot + 1, in.length); base.left = prePlusIn( preleft, inleft); // * Construct left subtree. base.right = prePlusIn( preright, inright); // * Construc right subtree. return base; // * Return fully constructed tree } Basically, I construct additional arrays that house the pre- and inorder traversals of the left and right subtree (this seems terribly inefficient but I could not think of a better way with no helpers methods). Any ideas would be quite appreciated. Side note: While debugging it seems that the root note never receives the connections to the additional nodes (they remain null). From what I can see though, that should not happen... EDIT: To clarify, the method is throwing the IllegalArgumentException @ line 21 (else branch of the for loop, which should only be thrown if the traversals contain different elements.

  • C++, using stack.h read a string, then display it in reverse

    - by user1675108
    For my current assignment, I have to use the following header file, #ifndef STACK_H #define STACK_H template <class T, int n> class STACK { private: T a[n]; int counter; public: void MakeStack() { counter = 0; } bool FullStack() { return (counter == n) ? true : false ; } bool EmptyStack() { return (counter == 0) ? true : false ; } void PushStack(T x) { a[counter] = x; counter++; } T PopStack() { counter--; return a[counter]; } }; #endif To write a program that will take a sentence, store it into the "stack", and then display it in reverse, and I have to allow the user to repeat this process as much as they want. The thing is, I am NOT allowed to use arrays (otherwise I wouldn't need help with this), and am finding myself stumped. To give an idea of what I am attempting, here is my code as of posting, which obviously does not work fully but is simply meant to give an idea of the assignment. #include <iostream> #include <cstring> #include <ctime> #include "STACK.h" using namespace std; int main(void) { auto time_t a; auto STACK<char, 256> s; auto string curStr; auto int i; // Displays the current time and date time(&a); cout << "Today is " << ctime(&a) << endl; s.MakeStack(); cin >> curStr; i = 0; do { s.PushStack(curStr[i]); i++; } while (s.FullStack() == false); do { cout << s.PopStack(); } while (s.EmptyStack() == false); return 0; } // end of "main" **UPDATE This is my code currently #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <ctime> #include "STACK.h" using namespace std; time_t a; STACK<char, 256> s; string curStr; int i; int n; // Displays the current time and date time(&a); cout << "Today is " << ctime(&a) << endl; s.MakeStack(); getline(cin, curStr); i = 0; n = curStr.size(); do { s.PushStack(curStr[i++]); i++; }while(i < n); do { cout << s.PopStack(); }while( !(s.EmptyStack()) ); return 0;

  • Error With CBitmapContextCreate, CGContextDrawImage, CGBitmapContextCreateImage

    - by wsidell
    Error: CGBitmapContextCreate: invalid data bytes/row: should be at least 400 for 8 integer bits/component, 3 components, kCGImageAlphaNoneSkipFirst. Error: CGContextDrawImage: invalid context Error: CGBitmapContextCreateImage: invalid context Currently, I have in application that runs perfectly in OS 4.0, but I have been trying to get it to work properly in 3.1.3 and I keep getting the errors mentioned above. I am fairly new to iPhone development and am not exactly sure what the problem would be. I am using image resize code that I found in another post on stackoverflow. Here is the code: - (UIImage*)imageWithImage:(UIImage*)sourceImage scaledToSizeWithSameAspectRatio:(CGSize)targetSize{ CGSize imageSize = sourceImage.size; CGFloat width = imageSize.width; CGFloat height = imageSize.height; CGFloat targetWidth = targetSize.width; CGFloat targetHeight = targetSize.height; CGFloat scaleFactor = 0.0; CGFloat scaledWidth = targetWidth; CGFloat scaledHeight = targetHeight; CGPoint thumbnailPoint = CGPointMake(0.0,0.0); if (CGSizeEqualToSize(imageSize, targetSize) == NO) { CGFloat widthFactor = targetWidth / width; CGFloat heightFactor = targetHeight / height; if (widthFactor > heightFactor) { scaleFactor = widthFactor; // scale to fit height } else { scaleFactor = heightFactor; // scale to fit width } scaledWidth = width * scaleFactor; scaledHeight = height * scaleFactor; // center the image if (widthFactor > heightFactor) { thumbnailPoint.y = (targetHeight - scaledHeight) * 0.5; } else if (widthFactor < heightFactor) { thumbnailPoint.x = (targetWidth - scaledWidth) * 0.5; } } CGImageRef imageRef = [sourceImage CGImage]; CGBitmapInfo bitmapInfo = CGImageGetBitmapInfo(imageRef); CGColorSpaceRef colorSpaceInfo = CGImageGetColorSpace(imageRef); if (bitmapInfo == kCGImageAlphaNone) { bitmapInfo = kCGImageAlphaNoneSkipLast; } CGContextRef bitmap; if (sourceImage.imageOrientation == UIImageOrientationUp || sourceImage.imageOrientation == UIImageOrientationDown) { bitmap = CGBitmapContextCreate(NULL, targetWidth, targetHeight, CGImageGetBitsPerComponent(imageRef), CGImageGetBytesPerRow(imageRef), colorSpaceInfo, bitmapInfo); } else { bitmap = CGBitmapContextCreate(NULL, targetHeight, targetWidth, CGImageGetBitsPerComponent(imageRef), CGImageGetBytesPerRow(imageRef), colorSpaceInfo, bitmapInfo); } // In the right or left cases, we need to switch scaledWidth and scaledHeight, // and also the thumbnail point if (sourceImage.imageOrientation == UIImageOrientationLeft) { thumbnailPoint = CGPointMake(thumbnailPoint.y, thumbnailPoint.x); CGFloat oldScaledWidth = scaledWidth; scaledWidth = scaledHeight; scaledHeight = oldScaledWidth; CGContextRotateCTM (bitmap, radians(90)); CGContextTranslateCTM (bitmap, 0, -targetHeight); } else if (sourceImage.imageOrientation == UIImageOrientationRight) { thumbnailPoint = CGPointMake(thumbnailPoint.y, thumbnailPoint.x); CGFloat oldScaledWidth = scaledWidth; scaledWidth = scaledHeight; scaledHeight = oldScaledWidth; CGContextRotateCTM (bitmap, radians(-90)); CGContextTranslateCTM (bitmap, -targetWidth, 0); } else if (sourceImage.imageOrientation == UIImageOrientationUp) { // NOTHING } else if (sourceImage.imageOrientation == UIImageOrientationDown) { CGContextTranslateCTM (bitmap, targetWidth, targetHeight); CGContextRotateCTM (bitmap, radians(-180.)); } CGContextDrawImage(bitmap, CGRectMake(thumbnailPoint.x, thumbnailPoint.y, scaledWidth, scaledHeight), imageRef); CGImageRef ref = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(bitmap); UIImage* newImage = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:ref]; CGContextRelease(bitmap); CGImageRelease(ref); return newImage; Any help would be appreciated.
