I want to iterate through it and find all the 'name' attributes. My code looks like: response["groups"]["Nearby"]["venues"].each do |key| logger.debug key['name'] end But I keep on getting error: TypeError (can't convert String into Integer): I am on ruby 1.9.

• parsing ip address in php

  Hi all, I am trying to create a page that shows the user their zip code when they are on my page. (if any of you are familiar with GeoIP data, thats what I am using. ) I have a conversion that converts the users IP address into an IP number, that conversion is: ipnum = 16777216*w + 65536*x + 256*y + z where w.x.y.z are the ip sections (000.000.000.000) My question is, using $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; is there a way for me to section the users ip address and assign the section of the ip address to variables? for example: usersip = 192.168.123.5 w = 192; x = 168; y = 123; z = 5; Thanks!

• MySQL concat question

  Hi guys! I am somewhat mystified by concat and joins in MySQL 4. Here's where I am having an issue. I have two tables... person id, fname, lname, city, state, zip capital state, city I am needing to generate all states and the number of persons (from the person table) from each. Something like .... AK | 5 AL | 7 etc etc Any advice would be appreciated. I so rarely am asked to do anything MySQL related and I'm stumped. Lucy

• MSBuild Starter Kits - i.e. Copy and just start modding...

  Hi guys Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any MSBuild starter kits out there. What I mean by starter kits is that from the looks of it most builds to kinda the same sort of steps with minor changes here and there (i.e. most builds would run test, coverage, zip up the results, produce a report, deploy etc). Also what most people in general want from a CI build, test build, release build is mostly the same with minor changes here and there. Now don't get me wrong i think that most scripts are fairly different in the end. But I can't help but think that most start out life being fairly similar. Hence does anyone know of any "starter kits" that have like a dev/CI/test/release build with the common tasks that most people would want that you can just start changing and modifying? • Limitation of Attachment size when using SMTP

  Hi, I wrote a C++ program to send a mail using SMTP. But when I attach any files I notices that a single file's size always is limited to 808 bytes. As an example if I send a text file with 10 KBs, when I download the attachment it has only text worth 808 bytes. If the large file is a zip file, it gets corrupted in unzipping obviously due to CRC failure. I used a MAPI library to send larger files without a problem. Is this a network limitation of SMTP? Can someone please explain why this is happening?? Thank You!!!

• Blackberry Widget Packager saves my files in strange places

  I have just installed the Blackberry Widget Packager and Blackberry Web Plug-In for Eclipse, and everything works fine, but my files are output to strange places. For example, I tried putting my zipped source files in the folder Blackberry Widget Packager/web and I got an error during packaging. Packaging works when the .zip is in the same directory as wwbp, though. When a widget is successfully created, the executable .jar file and the .rapc files are put in some stupid folder like users/user/temp/widgetname094098456, and the other files are split between two folders in Blackberry Widget Packager/bin. This is slightly annoying as I don't want to be spending time herding my files. Anyone have any thoughts on why my files are being scattered like this?

  I am converting GTT's to oracle types as explained in an excellent answer by APC. however, some GTT's are being updated based on a select query from another table. I've tried the following: array = Crack::JSON.parse(json) array["posts"] array["posts"] shows all the values, but I tried array["posts"]["title"] and it didn't work. I did workaround for now in ivysettings.xml <filesystem name="privateFSa"> <artifact pattern="${localRepositoryLocation}/[artifact].conf" /> </filesystem> but this doesnt looks good to hardcode conf there. Now, I am going to release it as open source, and am curious as to how I should deploy it. Do I need to create an installer package with any dll's? Should I just zip up the *.exe file with a README? Also, how should I go about handling the requirement for the .NET framework that a C# program needs?

I've found that the file appears to be the same as the reference (in size), but the archives refuse to extract. • Why is it not possible to call RegFree COM and .NET from the VB IDE (VB6 & VBA)?

  Hi I have an example project with works when called from compiled VB6 but not from the IDE or from Excel's VBE. There are 3 DLLs QA.DLL, QB.DLL, QAW.DLL. QA is written in C#.NET, QB and QAW are written in VB6. QAW is a COM wrapper of QA. In the calling code I create an Activation Context and load a manifest file. All works fine from the exe created with VB6, but not in debug mode in VB6 or in Excel's VBA. I have the full example in zip. • Netbean Cannot update Google App Engine server to appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2

  I am using Netbean 6.7.1 I just update my google app engine plugin in netbean with Netbean auto update. I found out there is new app engine SDK. So i want to update my google app engine server to point to appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2 After I download appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2.zip. I unzip it. Then at Netbean: I already have a Google App Engine server under Services - Server. I can't find anyway to point it to the newly installed sdk folder. So I deleted the existing "Google App Engine" server & try to add a new one. Server - Add Server - Google App Engine - at "Installation Location", I point it to google app engine folder, which is "C:\appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2", it show this message at bottom "C:\appengine-java-sdk-1.3.2" & don't allow me to continue. May I know how to solve this? thanks!

• Fastest way to deploy rails apps with Passenger

  I am working on a Dreamhost server with Rails 2.3.5. Every time I make changes to a site, I have to ssh into the site, remove all the files, upload a zip file containing all the new files for the site, unzip that file, migrate the database, and go. Something tells me there's a faster way to deploy rails apps. I am using mac Time Machine to keep track of different versions of my applications. I know git tracks files, but I don't really know how to work with it to deploy my applications, since passenger takes care of all the magic for me. What would be a faster way to deploy my applications (and avoid the downtime associated with my method when I delete all files on the server)? Thanks!

  I need to upload large files of atleast 1GB file size. I am using ASP.Net, C# and IIS 5.1 as my development platform. I am using HIF.PostedFile.InputStream.Read(fileBytes,0,HIF.PostedFile.ContentLength) before using File.WriteAllBytes(filePath, fileByteArray)(doesnt go here but gives System.OutOfMemoryException' exception) Currently i have set the httpRuntime to executionTimeout="999999" maxRequestLength="2097151"(thats 2GB!) useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" minFreeThreads="8" minLocalRequestFreeThreads="4" appRequestQueueLimit="5000" enableVersionHeader="true" requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" Also i have set maxAllowedContentLength="2097151" (guess its only for IIS7) I have changed IIS connection timeout to 999,999 secs too. I am unable to upload files of even 4578KB(Ajaz-Uploader.zip)

Is there any to install the app without doing the above task of building the project with the provisioning profile. Means i have a build of an app and a newly downloaded provisioning profile. • Can I undo the last git push?

  A team member accidentally pushed half a gig of unwanted zips to the remote repo last night when they were in a rush. Yes... oops. Nobody has pulled or committed since. Ideally I want to just 'undo' what happened. I have looked at filter-branch and was thinking of trying something like git filter-branch --tree-filter 'rm -f *.zip' HEAD but that would be local, and I can't figure out how to do it direct on the remote repo. Is there a simpler way to undo what happened? If she amends her last commit and pushes again will that undo the push - ie actually remove those files from the history? Obviously if she deletes them, commits and pushes again then that still leaves the content in the repo, which is no good.

• Which svn client to install on Windows 7 machine?

  I just got a new PC running Windows 7 (64-bit). I'd like to install an SVN client (command line only, I don't want TortoiseSVN). I'm not sure which of these to install: http://subversion.apache.org/packages.html#windows does anyone have any opinions on this? I tried going for the ones hosted by Tigris, but the downloaded zip says to read an install file hosted at their site, but the link is broken. Do we simply download, then call svn.exe as needed, no need for a real 'install'?
