    I have the following at the top of my view: <%= GMap.header %> Heroku is giving me an ActionView::TemplateError on that line.... this works on my own machine but not on Heroku.... why is that? Is there something about Heroku that doesn't allow?   • Facebook email Permission, oath2, doesnt work?

    since the new Auth Dialog from Facebook (for my App & homepage), I cannot get the dialog to show that my homepage/app needs the users email when connection to my homepage/app. In the Auth-section of my app I've added "email" to the User & Friend Permissions. Also I've added it to the referal when someone clicks the "Login with facebook"-button. When someone clicks the Facebook-button, he/she redirects to a page which has the PHP-code with Facebook SDK PHP (latest). Here's how I generate the send-to-url for the dialog: $login_url = $facebook-getLoginUrl(array('req_perms' = 'email,publish_stream')); header("Location: ".$login_url); But when the Dialog pops up, the only permission request it does is "basic information". I need to request the Email. Am I stupid or is it a bug somehow? I've also recreated the App.

    Hello, If I have email address of a user, is there any way to find the profile of the user? I know it can be done using the uid and name of the user (GetInfo() or fql.query). The specific problem I am trying to address is when I search for a user using the name field, I end up getting multiple results (people with the same name). I have the email address of the user I want to search, so if I can search using email address, I will be able to reach to the specific user. Alternately, if there's a way to find uid for a given email address, I can get the user I am looking for. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

  • C++ - Distributing different headers than development

    I was curious about doing this in C++: Lets say I have a small library that I distribute to my users. I give my clients both the binary and the associated header files that they need. For example, lets assume the following header is used in development: #include <string> ClassA { public: bool setString(const std::string & str); private: std::string str; }; Now for my question. For deployment, is there anything fundamentally wrong with me giving a 'reduced' header to my clients? For example, could I strip off the private section and simply give them this: #include <string> ClassA { public: bool setString(const std::string & str); }; My gut instinct says "yes, this is possible, but there are gotchas", so that is why I am asking this question here. If this is possible and also safe, it looks like a great way to hide private variables, and thus even avoid forward declaration in some cases. I am aware that the symbols will still be there in the binary itself, and that this is just a visibility thing at the source code level. Thanks!

When i add test.h file in my project and try to compile it, i see that netbeans does not see this header file, and that I would not write it, even if there are errors anyway compilation is successful.     I am using NameCallback and PasswordCallback for username and password.For username and password, popup comes on browser and when i enter username ans password, JAAS authenticates my request. On the wireshark, I have seen that 401 Unauthorized message (WWW-Authenticate header)comes and when i enter username/password HTTP request with credentials generate ( with Authorization header) and goes to server. My requirement : I don't want pop up to come.My application on other server having username / password, so once it received 401 then based on some logic it will generate HTTP request with Authorization header / credentials and sent it back. FLow : User - Other Server - My Tomcat5.5 Here on Other Server, nobody is available to enter username/password manually.Application is deployed and it will only generate HTTP request with credential and sent it back to tomcat. Can we have any other callback which behave like this.Need your help.Please provide me feedback as well related to approach.

    In my profile.php script, I have a flag function that allows users to flag that user. If they flag a user, it sends data (user_id, reason, etc) to a file called flag.php which does all the banning and stuff. The data is sent to flag.php through header("Location: flag.php?user_id=___&reason=___") Then in flag.php, after it does all the banning, it redirects the user back to the profile through another header. The user never sees the flag.php. Is my flag.php safe? because they never see the script?

    Do search engines treat the alt text of an image placed within an h1 tag the same way they would treat regular text placed in an h1 tag? I gave a search through here looking for an answer to this question, but was only able to find information on image replacement and the infamous h1 debate. For example would: <h1><img src="#" alt="Contact Us" /></h1> Act the same as: <h1>Contact Us</h1> In the electronic eye of a search engine? This seems considerably less "CSS Hacky" than other image replacement techniques like negative text indents, display:none, height:0, or ridiculous z-index integers.

  • How do I receive email sent to postmaster?

    I have a VPS server that I would like to get an SSL certificate for, and the CA needs an email address to verify that I own the domain. The options are: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and an address to @whoisguard.com. The server runs CentOS 5, and all I have set up for email is sendmail. I don't have POP3 or IMAP. According to this Wikipedia article on Postmaster, it says that all SMTP servers support postmaster and it cites RFC 5321. Does sendmail conform to this? I tried sending a test mail to [email protected], but I don't know how to receive it on my server. Do I need to open up any ports? I haven't gotten a message back saying that my test mail failed to send, so my server must have gotten it.

I currently have it set, so I can send email from my [email protected] instead of [email protected]. This is done through the web ui on my current domain name, provider, gandi.net. What are the main differences between this arrangement, and setting up a Google Apps for your domain setup, where I'm explicitly listing in the dns records to point records to point to Google's app mail server?
