• ModelState.AddModelError encodes HTML

  Hi I am noticing a weird issue when using ModelState.AddModelError to validate input on my forms. The output from Html.ValidationMessage is not the true HTML value but it's encoded value and so the CSS style is not applied to the error message. Example: private string errorMessage = "<span class=\"negative\">{0}</span><br class=\"hid\" />"; ModelState.AddModelError("title", String.Format(errorMessage, "Tab title is required")); The output is shown as: <span class="field-validation-error">&lt;span class=&quot;negative&quot;&gt;URL is Required&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br class=&quot;hid&quot; /&gt;</span> This didn't use to be the case with their earlier beta's and I am not sure what approach to take here. This code works if the editable=True but if i want to hide it it doesnt change the value of reference. how can i fix that?

  I have a table a with a list of id's, and a user-defined function foo(id) that takes the id and returns a VARCHAR(20). What I am trying to do is: SELECT id, foo(id) AS 'text field' FROM a However, instead of calling the function for each ID number, like I desired, the text comes back the same for every row. I have tested the foo() function manually with the returned ID's and it does not have that problem, so I realize I must not understand something about the evaluation of the query.

  Sorry for the unclear title, an example will clear things up: TABLE: Scenario_victories ID scenid timestamp userid side playdate 1 RtBr001 2010-03-15 17:13:36 7 1 2010-03-10 2 RtBr001 2010-03-15 17:13:36 7 1 2010-03-10 3 RtBr001 2010-03-15 17:13:51 7 2 2010-03-10 ID and timestamp are auto-insertions by the database when the other 4 fields are added. The first thing to note is that a user can record multiple playings of the same scenario (scenid) on the same date (playdate) possibly with the same outcome (side = winner). Hence the need for the unique ID and timestamps for good measure. Now, on their user page, I'm displaying their recorded play history in a <select><option>... list form with 2 buttons at the end - Delete Record and Go to Scenario My script takes the scenid and after hitting a few other tables returns with something more user-friendly like: (playdate) (from scenid) (from side) ######################################################### # 2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won # # 2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won # # 2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Soviet Union won # ######################################################### [Delete Record] [Go To Scenario] in HTML: <select name="history" size=3> <option>2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won</option> <option>2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won</option> <option>2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Soviet Union won</option> </select> Now, if you were to highlight the first record and click Go to Scenario there is enough information there for me to parse it and produce the exact scenario you want to see. However, if you were to select Delete Record there is not - I have the playdate and I can parse the scenid and side from what's listed, but in this example all three records would have the same result. I appear to have painted myself into a corner. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get some unique identifying data (ID and/or timestamp) to ride along on this form without showing it to the user? PHP-only please, I must be NoScript compliant!

How should I represent it in a bulk insert command? • Why a "private static" is not seen in a method?

  I have a class with the following declaration of the fields: public class Game { private static String outputFileName; .... } I set the value of the outputFileName in the main method of the class. I also have a write method in the class which use the outputFileName. I always call write after main sets value for outputFileName. But write still does not see the value of the outputFileName. It say that it's equal to null. Could anybody, pleas, tell me what I am doing wrong?   Programing an Android application based on HTML5/JQuery launching in a web view, I'm using the Eternicode's bootstrap-datepicker. BTW I'm using Jquery 1.9.1 and Bootstrap 2.3.2 with bootstrap-responsive. The picker is working fine but unfortunately I get yet two issues which I was not able to solve at this time: the picker theme is not respected and some dates are not readable (see the attached picture). Some there is css conflict such as the datepicker's font is displayed white on white background. I'm not able to reduce the size of the date picker field such as it holds on alone row.
