  • Smooth Error in qplot from ggplot2

    I have some data that I am trying to plot faceted by its Type with a smooth (Loess, LM, whatever) superimposed. Generation code is below: testFrame <- data.frame(Time=sample(20:60,50,replace=T),Dollars=round(runif(50,0,6)),Type=sample(c("First","Second","Third","Fourth"),50,replace=T,prob=c(.33,.01,.33,.33))) I have no problem either making a faceted plot, or plotting the smooth, but I cannnot do both. The first three lines of code below work fine. The fourth line is where I have trouble: qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame,colour=Type) qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame,colour=Type) + geom_smooth() qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame) + facet_wrap(~Type) qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame) + facet_wrap(~Type) + geom_smooth() It gives the following error: Error in [<-.data.frame(*tmp*, var, value = list(NA = NULL)) : missing values are not allowed in subscripted assignments of data frames What am I missing to overlay a smooth in a faceted plot? I could have sworn I had done this before, possibly even with the same data.

    Hi, I'm using an sql to replace credit card numbers with xxxx and finding that REGEX_REPLACE does not consistently replace everything. Below is the SET command i'm using on the SQL SET COMMENTS_LONG = REGEXP_REPLACE (COMMENTS_LONG,'\D[1-6]\d{3}.\d{4}.\d{4}.\d{3}(\d{1}.\d{3})?|\D[1-6]\d{12,15}|\D[1-6]\d{3}.\d{3}.?\d{3}.\d{5}', ' XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX') Before Elizabeth aclled to change address.5430-6000-2111-1931 A After Elizabeth aclled to change address XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX1 A I tried increasing the number of X but result is the same. I also find that i have to put a space in front of the first X as it appears to move 1 char to the left.

  • Jquery droppable live disabling/enabling

    I have a some draggables in a list of droppables (1 draggable per droppable li). When I move a draggable from one droppable to another free droppable, I want to diable the receiving droppable, and enable the droppable it is leaving from. In firebug the droppable class gets removed – but the functionality of the droppable remains.   • jquery sortable item cached? #sortable items: '.class1' filter is not working when class is changed

    I am using these 2 functions: http://javascript.about.com/library/bladdslash.htm But JSLint complains 'Bad Escapement' on this line: str=str.replace(/\\0/g,'\0'); [Edit] I converted to 2 lines, and now the first line is the one that fails JLint: var rep = '\0'; str=str.replace(/\\0/g,rep); So it is the '\0' can you help? I could try something but I want to understand what is going on. [/Edit] Can you make a better version and explain? I would like a version that passes JSLint and still works.

    I want to provide some template for a code generator I am developing. A typical pattern for class is : public ${class_type} ${class_name} extends ${super_class} implements ${interfaces} { ${class_body} } Problem is if super_class is blank or interfaces. I replace extends ${super_class} with empty string. But I get extra spaces. So a class with no super_class and interfaces end up like : public class Foo { //see the extra spaces before {? ${class_body} } I know I can replace multiple spaces with single, but is there any better approach?

    I am attempting to uplaod a Word doc and then write it line by line in HTML. I made a referecne to the Microsoft Word Object Library. Then I use the following code to grab the and put it in a string variable. However, I have tried multiple regex statements to replace the new line character with "" but nothing I have tried has worked...     I'm having an annoying :) I use regexes from this: http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=77123 if you enter [url]www.bob.com[/url] it leads too http://localhost/test/www.bobsbar.com So I added before http://$1 in the replacement. That fix it but then [url]http://www.bob.com[/url] will lead to http://http://www.bobsbar.com How would you fix this? I want my users to be able to post links with AND without http:// and i want it to redirect to the site -_- Hope you understand this.   • How to use regex to match ASTERISK in awk

    I'm stil pretty new to regular expression and just started learning to use awk. What I am trying to accomplish is writing a ksh script to read-in lines from text, and and for every lines that match the following: *RECORD 0000001 [some_serial_#] to replace $2 (i.e. 000001) with a different number. So essentially the script read in batch record dump, and replace the record number with date+record#, and write to separate file. So this is what I'm thinking the format should be: awk 'match($0,"/*FTR")!=0{$2="$DATE-n++"; print $0} match($0,"/*FTR")==0{print $0}' $BATCH > $OUTPUT but obviously "/*FTR" is not going to work, and I'm not sure if changing $2 and then write the whole line is the correct way to do this. So I am in need of some serious enlightenment.

    For a Satchmo project we have to change the fields a customer has to fill out during checkout. Specifically, we have to: Add a 'middle name' field Replace the bill and delivery addressee with separate first, middle and last name fields Replace the two address lines with street, number and number extension These fields are expected by an upstream web service, so we need to store this data separately. What's the best way to achieve this with minimal changes in the rest of Satchmo? We prefer a solution in which we do not have to change the Satchmo code itself, but if required we can fork it.

But I'm trying to learn what the difference is between writing a function like this is in plpgsql: CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION foo() RETURNS TRIGGER AS $$ .... $$ LANGUAGE plpgsql; vs CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION foo() RETURNS TRIGGER AS $foo$ .... $foo$ LANGUAGE plpgsql; is there a difference when using $$ vs $foo$? why would someone choose one over another? perhaps I've just missed some documentation explaining the difference. If someone could enlighten me, I'd really appreciate it.

    I'm working on a simple subtraction problem, but unfortunately it keeps returning NaN Here is the function function subtraction(a, b) { var regexp = /[$][,]/g; a = a.replace(regexp, ""); b - b.replace(regexp, ""); var _a = parseFloat(a); var _b = parseFloat(b); return _a - _b; } And here is how I'm calling it. txtGoodWill.value = subtraction(txtSellingPrice.value, txtBalanceSheet.value); The numbers that get submitted to the function are ONLY Currency (IE: $2,000 or $20, etc) Now I know that I cannot subtract numbers with a $ or a ,, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they are getting evaluated in the equasion.

This works great unless there are nulls in the dataset. I tried to compensate for the nulls, but the RDLC file generates an error message that it can't display the subreport.   • Very simple jQuery rollover

    I made a very simple jQuery img rollover function inspired by this one: http://www.smileycat.com/miaow/archives/000224.php. It just check all the imgs that contain _off in their name and swap them with an img with the same name but "_on" instead of "_off". Since I can't use background imgs in my layout, I feel that's an handy solution. But I've got the feeling that the swapping is not smooth, like if the function runs slow. What do you think? Are there ways to optimize it?     hello everyone. i am using slideshow2 by Aeron Glemann in a website.Does in generate the thumbnails or do i have to provide them?the images iam showing are coming from a cloud, and are passed to the slideshow in an array.the thumbs exist in the cloud. how can i pass them in the array if the show cannot create them? i have used the replace parameter with regex but it shows as thumbnails the full image and nothing happens when i alter the css properties for the thumbnails. the images are displayed. here is the line for the show creation: var myShow = new Slideshow('show', eval(res.value), { controller: true, height: 350,overlap: false, resize: false, hu: '',replace:[/^\S+.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png)$/,'t$1'],thumbnails: true, width: 600}); the value object contains the images from the cloud in format shown below: ['xx.jpg','yy.png',....] thank you very much for your time.

If I just replace this with a function taking a const wchar_t[], then the sizeof() will fail to deliver expected results. Simply adding a size member doesn't really solve the problem either. Making the user supply the size of the constant literal also results in a mess of duplicated constants at the call site. Any ideas on this one?

The temples uses sample item as its sample Item. i am attempting to replace that sample ITem with a custom type from web reference in my ASP.Net project .dll.
